Peace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:16-20 is about the commandment to preach the gospel or to spread the light or shekinah glory. It is needed by this world that is getting darker in the last days.
The spread of the light or shekinah glory means that we are employed by God in the great revival according to the great commandment of God as follows.
- [verse 18-19] Revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain.
Matthew 28:19
28:19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
It is the revival in gospel Word or the gospel of salvation to bring the sinners to be saved through believing Jesus and being baptized. It is the revival of salvation.
- Revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
Matthew 28:20
28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, evento the end of the age.” Amen.
It is the revival in the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ or the teaching Word sharper than any two-edged sword, or Bride Tidings. It aims to bring saved life to enter the building of the perfect body of Christ, to be sanctified and perfected to become the bride of God who is ready to welcome His second coming as the Bridegroom on the glorious clouds. It is the revival of perfection.
Matthew 28:20b
28:20 .... and lo, I am with you always, evento the end of the age.” Amen.If we are employed by God in the great revival, God will be with us. The accompaniment of God is our main need that cannot be replaced with anything else.
Exodus 33:1-4
33:1 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Depart andgo up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give it.’
33:2 And I will send MyAngel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanite and the Amorite and the Hittite and the Perizzite and the Hivite and the Jebusite.
33:3 Go upto a land flowing with milk and honey; for I will not go up in your midst, lest I consume you on the way, for you area stiff-necked people.”
33:4 And when the people heard this bad news, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments. In the great movement of the Israelites from Egypt to Canaan, Moses asked for the accompaniment of God. At that time, the Israelites heard bad news, that is God would not be with them. If God is not with us, all things are failed and useless, and will only be destroyed.
Everything we do in this world is useless if God is not with us. All spiritual activities and even the kingdom of Heaven are useless if God is not with us.
There are two things that must be watched in the ministry so that God will not leave us as follows.
- Do not look for an angel.
Angel is another life besides God, that is pastor, entertainer, et cetera.
- Do not look for carnal matters.
Therefore, in each ministry we must look for Jesus and His accompaniment.
John 1:1,14
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.Jesus is the true teaching Word that becomes man.
Thus, in each ministry we must look for and prioritize the true teaching Word. The result is Jesus will be with us and become the Head for His body. This is the permanent accompaniment.
In the epistle to the Ephesians, there are three appearances of Jesus as the Head as follows.
- Jesus as the King of kings puts all the enemies under His feet, until destroys the death.
Ephesians 1:22-23
1:22 And He put all thingsunder His feet, and gave Him to behead over all thingsto the church,
1:23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
1 Corinthians 15:25-26
15:25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
15:26 The last enemy thatwill be destroyed isdeath.
We, as His body, are kings who must also win over the death.
Revelation 21:8
21:8 But the (1)cowardly, (2)unbelieving, (3)abominable, (4)murderers, (5)sexually immoral, (6)sorcerers, (7)idolaters, and all (8)liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”
It is started from eight sins that bring men directly to the hell.
- Being cowardly, that is being afraid of something until losing the fear of God. One is also being afraid to sacrifice for God.
- Unbelieving, being doubtful.
- Being abominable and evil.
- Murderers, that is hatred without any reasons.
- Sexually immoral, false marriage.
- Sorcerers, magicians, soothsaying.
- Idolaters, in the forms of having charms and sculptures, et cetera. In the modern definition, idol is also everything that prevents us from ministering God.
- Liars.
If we win over the eight sins, the result is living in righteousness and holding on the true teaching Word.
2 Peter 2:1
2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, andbring on themselves swift destruction.
Do not bring in any little false teachings, because it is the death.
Proverbs 10:25
10:25 When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked isno more,
But the righteous hasan everlasting foundation.
The righteous is the one who endures temptation. He cannot be stumbled by sins and cannot be deceived by other teachings. The righteous is saved until receiving eternal life.
- Jesus as the High Priest or Great Shepherd.
Ephesians 4:15-16
4:15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—
4:16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
We, as His body, are the priests, meaning lives who are well shepherded.
Being well shepherded means being shepherded to the true teaching Word and being within the true shepherding pen (the Holy Place).
- Golden Candlestick, that is perseverance in General Service.
- Table of Showbread, that is perseverance in Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
- Golden Altar of Incense, that is perseverance in Prayer Service.
It is started from a pastor must be within the sheepfold, and so must all the sheep and servants of God. If the pastor is not within the sheepfold, it is not the true shepherding.
A shepherded life is as a branch abides to the true vine. Thus, we will experience intensive sanctification by the true teaching Word and God will equip us with the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to beapostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
One who is used in the building of the body of Christ is priest and king. King is one who wins and cannot be blocked by anything. We can be faithful and fervent in spirit in ministering God. We please God and are called as living stones.
1 Peter 2:5
2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
The living stone lives from the mercy of God. Whoever, wherever and whenever we are, we can live in this world up to eternal life. The living stone is also beautiful stone, meaning the mercy of God is able to make everything beautiful in His time.
- Jesus as the perfect Bridegroom of Heaven.
Ephesians 5:22-24
5:22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
5:24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so letthe wives beto their own husbands in everything.
We, as His body, are the perfect bride.
The relation between the Head and the body is the neck, which denotes submission. The neck equals to worship, that is the tearing of the flesh so we can submit and be obedient until the flesh does not sound anymore.
Proverbs 3:3
3:3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
Psalm 17:7-8
17:7 Show Your marvelous lovingkindness by Your right hand,
O You who save those who trust in You
From those who rise up against them.
17:8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye;
Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
If we submit, our neck will be bound with the marvelous lovingkindness of God.
The usefulness is as follows.
- The hands of the marvelous lovingkindness of God are able to care and protect us as the apple of His eye in this world as the wilderness. Even a grain of sand is not allowed to enter it.
It means as follows.
- The hands of the lovingkindness of God care us physically in this world as the dry and barren wilderness.
- The hands of the lovingkindness of God care us spiritually, so we will never dry spiritually but always give thanks to God.
- The hands of the lovingkindness of God protect us from the sins of Babylon and all distress, up to protection in the days of antichrist.
- The hands of the marvelous lovingkindness of God are able to solve all our problems even the impossible ones.
- The hands of the marvelous lovingkindness of God are able to sanctify and renew our life until we become perfect as He is.
Ephesians 5:25-27
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
5:27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
It is started with our sight is sanctified so we only see God and surrender to Him. Do not see the other things (husband/ wife, job, study, et cetera). The Israelites only see the golden calf and the consequence is God is not with them. If our eyes only see Him, there will be the accompaniment of God, until we can see Him face to face on His second coming. We can sit together with Him on His throne forever.
God blesses us.
