Revelation 19: 919:9. Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God." God is offering or giving us heavenly joynothing in the world may influence even the death cannot influence it.
It is an eternal joy.
God gives it to us so we can endure living in the world until we reach the eternal joy in heaven.
There are seven kinds of heavenly joy in the book of Revelation as follows:
- Revelation 1: 3
- Revelation 14: 13
- Revelation 16: 15
- Revelation 19: 9 (The core/the peak of joy)
- Revelation 20: 6
- Revelation 22: 7
- Revelation 22: 14
These seven joys are as the seven lamps of golden candlestick or the seven lights of joy. The figure "7" refers to perfection.
The middle one
(the core or the peak of joy) is Revelation 19: 9. It happens at the time of Jesus' second coming that He, Heavenly Bridegroom, meets us, the Church or His perfect Bride.
Therefore,
do not play with marriage!Adam and Eve's marriage was corrupted but the Lord wants to restore it because the exit door of this world is through the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Afterward, we enter into the kingdom of peace a thousand year (Revelation 20) then we enter into New Jerusalem (Revelation 21-22).
Now we are discussing the sixth joy
Revelation 22: 722:7 "Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."The words of the prophecy=
prophetic Word, i.e.
the Word, whose secret is revealedthrough a verse's explaining another verse. It also
prophesies about what will happen in the last days, especially about Jesus' second coming as King of kings, Lord of lords and Heavenly Bridegroom.
Therefore, the prophetic Word is also called Bride Tidings.
Revelation 1: 31:3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near. = the first joy. It is said "
Blessed is he who reads and those who hearthe words of this prophecy."Nevertheless, in
Revelation 22: 7, it is said "
Blessed is he who keepsthe words of the prophecy of this book."Meaning
there is no chance to read and to hear the Word anymore.
The meanings of "Blessed is he who keepsthe words of the prophecy of this book"are below:
- There is a spiritual famine (the famine of God's Word).
Amos 8: 11-14
8:11 "Behold, the days are coming," says the Lord GOD, "That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD.
8:12 They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the LORD, But shall not find it.
8:13 "In that day the fair virgins And strong young men Shall faint from thirst.
8:14 Those who swear by the sin of Samaria, Who say, 'As your god lives, O Dan!' And, 'As the way of Beersheba lives!' They shall fall and never rise again."
verse 14= there is no true teaching Word.It will make men fall into sin up to the peak and NEVER RISE AGAIN.Meaning there is no ability to repent, being perished forever.
Therefore, no matter how dirty we are, we may be helped and risen as long as we hear the true teaching Word.
Do not hesitate to hear the true teaching Word!
Why does the spiritual famine happen, especially in the house of the Lord?
- Amos 8: 5
8:5 Saying: "When will the New Moon be past, That we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, That we may trade wheat? Making the ephah small and the shekel large, Falsifying the scales by deceit,
The first reason is because of false scale(making the ephah small and the shekel large).
Ephah= the measurement of grain (the Word).
Shekel= the measurement of money.
Meaning as follows:
- The sons of God seek worldly matters until there is no chance to seek the true teaching Word.
- Committing service to God already but only for seeking physical matters, not prioritizing the revelation of God's Word.
- Amos 8: 6
8:6 That we may buy the poor for silver, And the needy for a pair of sandals--Even sell the bad wheat?"
The second reason is because of the sale of the bad wheat in Church.
Meaningpreaching the word that does not come from the Lord, not the revelation of God's Word, not a spiritual food but performance, knowledge or illustration not having spiritual meaning.
The solution from the spiritual famine is gathering the Word of God as much as we can,as Joseph gathered grain= hearing and obeying the true teaching Word through shepherding and fellowship.
We will not get any disadvantage in gathering much Word of God because the time will come when men seek the Word but not finding It everywhere.
Exodus 16: 16, 22
16:16 "This is the thing which the LORD has commanded: 'Let every man gather it according to each one's need, one omer for each person, according to the number of persons; let every man take for those who are in his tent.' "
16:22 And so it was, on the sixth day, that they gathered twiceas much bread, two omers for each one. And all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses.
Gathering the Word of God is as Israelites gathering manna doubly on the sixth day, referring to the last days.
Psalm 78: 24-25
78:24 Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven.
78:25 Men ate angels' food; He sent them food to the full.
Manna= angel's food.
Manna= the Word.
Angel= pastor.
Thus, manna= Shepherding Word.
We must have manna doubly in these last days. Meaning we gather the Word through shepherding and fellowship in the shepherding system.
If we gather manna doubly, we get the result that we shall not want, as King David has said. Meaning we are preserved physically and spiritually, so we will not enter into spiritual famine but into perfection.
- Teaching Word must already be our blood and flesh in our life.
The best chance to make the Word be blood and flesh is in Bible Study Service and Holy Communion. The Holy Communion encourages the Word to become blood and flesh in our life.
We commit General Serviceas if we eat the Word.
The Word is divided in Bible Study Service and Holy Communionthat we may consume it to become blood and flesh in our life.
Besides, the Word is brought to our whole body in Prayer Service so It may become our character.
The character of the Word is the character of Jesus as Heavenly Bridegroom that must be our character also as His Bride.
1 Peter 3: 3-6
3:3 Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--
3:4 rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God.
3:5 For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissiveto their own husbands,
3:6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror.
'adornment'= godly character.
The godly character is gentleness, quietness and obedience (being submissive).
The characters above must be our characters also.
Gentleness means below:
- An ability to receive the Word how hard It is.
- Not being rude in saying.
Quietness means not giving many comments but keeping in silence much more.
Being submissivemeans we are obedient.
The example of an obedient person is Sarah.
Genesis 18: 13-15
18:13 And the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh, saying, 'Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?'
18:14 "Is anything too hard for the LORD? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."
18:15 But Sarah denied it, saying, "I did not laugh," for she was afraid. And He said, "No, but you did laugh!"
Sarah has a weakness that she is barren and in menopause.
verse 15= Sarah laughed but in fear, not really laughing.
Maybe our condition is as Sarah laughing but in fear, not really laughing because of bitterness caused by many shut doors.
Nevertheless, Sarah has the spiritual adornments, so God opens her womb.
Facing barrenness (shut doors), let the Word become our character and God will erase all impossible things. As a result, Sarah could laugh joyfully.
Genesis 21: 6-7
21:6 And Sarah said, "God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me."
21:7 She also said, "Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age."
If God has opened the shut door, we also will laugh joyfully as Sarah has laughed.
- We have become the family of God.
Mark 3: 35
3:35 "For whoever does the will of God is My brother and My sister and mother."
If we obey the Word, we will become the family of God and there will be no enmity. It begins in household.
1 Timothy 3: 15
3:15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
The family of God means the pillar.
The pillar is one who is faithful and full of responsibility.
Otherwise, having no faithfulness and responsibility, the pillar falls.
Therefore, do not commit ministry carelessly. Let us minister with a feeling that the pillar will fall if we do not commit the ministry.
Not being a pillar, one will become the pillar of salt.
The pillar also means being willing to sacrifice and being endurable in facing tests.
Thus, we will become the family of God if we become the pillar.
Lot's wife became the pillar of salt because she was disobedient through her looking behind.
The pillar of salt is salt which will be treaded under foot in the days of antichrist's reigning over the world.
The example of pillar is Abraham who becomes the pillar of faith.God wants to look our faith tonight. He does not see how great the temptations we face are.
The practices Abraham has as the pillar of faith are below:
- Obeying God's commandmentsto go out from his country with his family to the place he did not know.
Hebrews 11: 8
11:8 By faith Abraham obeyedwhen he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
God blessed him because of his obedience.
Genesis 12: 1-2
12:1 Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you.
12:2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless youAnd make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.
Obeying the Word, God is blessing us and we become blessing for other people.
- Believing in God's promise and being endurable in test, although it is an impossible matter.
Hebrews 11: 11-12
11:11 By faith Sarah herself also received strengthto conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised.
11:12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude--innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.
Romans 4: 19-21
4:19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb.
4:20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
4:21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Believing in God's promise, He will fulfill it in time of need.
- Being willing to offer or to sacrifice all things for God.Only the true teaching Word we must not sacrifice.
Hebrews 11: 17
11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
Being willing to sacrifice, we will be lead to the building of the temple of God Solomon built.
Genesis 22: 2, 12, 14
22:2 Then He said, "Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."
22:12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me."
22:14 And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, "In the Mount of The LORD it shall be provided."
2 Chronicles 3: 1
3:1 Now Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
= on Mount Moriah. It was the place where Abraham offered Isaac. There Solomon built the house of God and there the Lord will provide.
Thus, if we are willing to sacrifice for God, He is able to provide. Furthermore, the faith of Abraham becomes perfect. Meaning our faith is also being perfected by God and our weakness is being covered.
James 2: 21-22
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
God wants to make us the pillars. Having perfect faith, our lives will also be perfect.
We become the pillar of New Jerusalemand we shall go out no more.
Revelation 3: 123:12 "He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.Abraham is one of pillars in New Jerusalem.
Matthew 8: 118:11 "And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.Luke 16: 2216:22 "So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried.Whatever happens in our lives now, let us still believe in the Lord.
God blesses you.
