Revelation 19: 919:9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God." God is offering or giving us heavenly joywhich is a real joy nothing in the world may influence even the death cannot influence it.
There are seven kinds of joy written in the book of Revelation as follows:
- Revelation 1: 3
- Revelation 14: 13
- Revelation 16: 15
- Revelation 19: 9
- Revelation 20: 6
- Revelation 22: 7
- Revelation 22: 14
Those seven heavenly joys are as the seven lamps of golden candlestick. The core is the description of
the peak of heavenly joy that is in Revelation 19:9 which will happen when Jesus comes a second time. Afterward, we will enter into the kingdom of peace a thousand year (Revelation 20) and into the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21-22).
Now we are discussing about the fifth joy
Revelation 20: 620:6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection.Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years. It is about the resurrection of the dead. We must be careful about this matter because
there are two false teachings resisting the resurrection of the dead as follows:
- Teaching about reincarnation that is the rebirth of a soul in a new body of human being or animal.
Job 14: 7-10
14:7 "For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease.
14:8 Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground,
14:9 Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant.
14:10 But man dies and is laid away; Indeed he breathes his last And where is he?
- Teaching of Sadducees.
Acts 23: 8
23:8. For Sadducees say that there is no resurrection--and no angel or spirit; but the Pharisees confess both.
It is a teaching that there is no resurrection of the dead. Meaning there is nothing happen after the death.
1 Corinthians 15: 3215:32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!" Those two false teachings are very dangerous because they encourage men to sin even to the peak of sin (the sins concerning eating-drinking and sexuality) so they live as beasts and will perish forever.
Hebrews 9: 279:27 And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, The RIGHT TEACHING says that human being is dead only once to be judged. In short,
human being only lives once and dies once in the worldand will be risen in spiritual body to be judged.
Being judged means giving account of all things we have done when we live in the world.
There are five things we must give account of or five things that will be judged as follows:- 2 Corinthians 5: 10
5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
The first is sinful deedsor wicked deeds giving disadvantage to other people or the deeds which are not in line with the Word of God.
- Matthew 12: 36
12:36. "But I say to you that for every idle wordmen may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
The second is vain or idle wordsor sinful saying, including lie and slander.
- Romans 2: 16
2:16 in the day when God will judge the secrets of menby Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.
The third is hidden sins in heartalthough they have not been said or done, such as evil thought to other people.
- Matthew 7: 1
7:1 "Judge not, that you be not judged.
The forth is about judging other people. It is better to bring other people to come to God to hear His Words or to pray for them than to judge them. They will be discouraged if we judge them.
- Matthew 25: 33, 40-41, 45
25:33 "And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left.
25:40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'
25:41 "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
25:45 "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
The fifth is about not doing anything for the building of the body of Christalthough being already encouraged by God through the Word and Holy Spirit. It is a kind of egoism. Such is a sinful character.
WHERE DOES THE JUDGMENT HAPPEN?Revelation 20: 11-1520:11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
20:13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
20:14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
20:15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Lifewas cast into the lake of fire. It happens in the White Throne.
There are
three kinds of book in the white throneas follows:
- The books = Holy Bible= the true teaching Word.
John 12: 48
12:48. "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge himin the last day.
Holy Bible is a measurement to judge fairly and righteously.
- Private books= the book which contains all deeds we have done in our life in the world, especially the five matters above that will be judged.
- The Book of Life= the book which contains the names of people who HAVE FINISHED the five sins above while they are living in the world by the power of Jesus' blood. Our names being written in it, we have eternal life together with Jesus forever.
WHEN DOES THE JUDGMENT HAPPEN?It happens
at the time of the second resurrection, after the kingdom of peace a thousand year.
There are two kinds of the resurrection of the dead below:
- The first resurrection(Revelation 20: 6) which happens at the time of Jesus' coming.
Those who are risen are the children of Godwho have already finishedthe five sins above with the blood of Jesus so their names are written in the book of life.
The dead who is not in Jesus will not experience the resurrection.
- The second resurrection.
It happens after the kingdom of peace a thousand year.
Those who are risen are men who do not believe in Jesus, including the children of Godwho have not finishedthe five sins above. They will be cast into the sea of fire and brimstone.
Therefore, it is said "
Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection"because they will not be punished.
In short,
THERE WILL BE NO CHANCE TO FINISH SINS when the judgment in the white throne happens.
Therefore, we have to use our life in the world that is only once in order to finish all our sins.
1 Peter 4: 174:17 For the time has come for judgment to beginat the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?= the judgment begins in the house of God, meaning
we always have to judge our own selves while we are living in the world. Do not judge other people!
Judging ourselves can be done through these things:- True teaching Word, so our sins can be shown and we are delivered from them.
John 12: 48
12:48. "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him--the word that I have spoken will judge himin the last day.
- Holy Communion.
1 Corinthians 11: 28
11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
Therefore, the Holy Communion cannot be separated from the true teaching Word.
- Fiery trial= suffering in flesh.
1 Peter 4: 1-2
4:1. Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin,
4:2 that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.
Suffering in the flesh, we have to correct ourselves in order to cease from sin, to live according to the will of God.
Judging ourselves, our names are written in the Book of Life because there is no sin when Jesus comes a second time.
Judging other people, we are far away from God the most.
THE PLACE OF THOSE WHO JUDGE THEMSELVESRevelation 1: 151:15 His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; They are at the feet of Jesus, very close to Him.
'brass'= the judgment.
Let us now, whatever condition we have, use the chance to judge ourselves more and more (sitting at Jesus' feet).
Sitting at Jesus' feet, we are in the nearest place to touch the Lord and His hand is also stretched to touch us so we have His power.
The results of being at Jesus' feet are below:
- We have the power to heal us.
Matthew 15: 30
15:30 Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus' feet, and He healed them.
This healing power may heal us from bodily disease, economic disease, and marriage disease.
- We have the power of resurrection to defeat death.
1 Corinthians 15: 25-26
15:25. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
15:26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
We often get the experience of death as Lazarus has gotten that we may experience the power of resurrection. Lazarus has also experienced it because of Mary's being at Jesus' feet.
The death can be in the form of physical death or the spiritual one or the death because of sins.
Being at Jesus' feet, the dead can be alive, the impossible can be possible and we can confess our sins.
Confessing our sins, it is MORE THAN the power of healingbecause we are in salvation (the hell are defeated) although we may not be healed even we are dead.
The more we do not sin, the more we get the anointing of holy Spirit until someday we have the most holy anointing that WE CANNOT SIN(we are perfect as Jesus is)
- We have the power to lift us up.
Ezekiel 43: 7
43:7 And He said to me, "Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. No more shall the house of Israel defile My holy name, they nor their kings, by their harlotry or with the carcasses of their kings on their high places.
Being at Jesus' feet= being at the throne of God. Meaning we will be lifted up to the atmosphere of the throne of heaven if we are at Jesus' feet. In such condition, all heavy burdens we have in the world will be lifted up too.
And someday we will be lifted up to the throne of New Jerusalem when Jesus comes a second time. We are with Him forevermore.
Let us now sit at Jesus' feet much more!
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE JUDGMENT IN WHITE THRONE HAPPENS!God blesses you.
