Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are in Revelation 2-3 (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, July 27, 2014).
We are learning Revelation 3: 14-22 about the church of the
LAODICEANS. This is the last or the seventh church in the book of Revelation that shows the condition of the church in the last days (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, June 14, 2015).
THE SPIRITUALITYof the church of the Laodiceans is in
LUKEWARMNESS.
It means that they are rich physically and do not lack of anything, but the spirituality is wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
Consequently, they are vomited by God. They are useless before God, disgusting, unclean, cursed, and separated from Him until they perish forever.
Therefore, the Lord advises and rebukes to knock the door of the heart.
Revelation 3: 20
3:20. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
The Lord Jesus stands at the door and knocks repetitively.
It means the longsuffering of the Lord (
It has been explained in Bible Study Service in Surabaya, September 28, 2015) through the preaching of the true teaching Word or the sharp sword of the Word that contains the advice, rebuke, and chastening so that we may open the door of our heart for Him.
There are two kinds of possibilities while the Lord is knocking the door as follows.
- We open the door of our heart by receiving the sword of God's Word and the Lord enters to sanctify us.
Matthew 21: 12-13
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of Godand drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'"
As a result, we become the house of prayeror the dwelling place of God and we are blessed by Him. The signs of the house prayer are enjoying testifying and worshiping God.
- We have a hard heart rejecting the sword of God's Word.
Matthew 21: 17
21:17. Then He left themand went out of the city to Bethany, and He lodged there.
Consequently, the Lord Jesus leaves our life and we are like the church of the Laodiceans in the lukewarmness. They are like the vomit and the den of thieves that will be cursed and destroyed by God. The signs of the den of thieves are enjoying gossiping, lying, and slandering.
We have learnt about the way to become THE HOUSE OF PRAYER. We pay attention to the household, the church or the service and ministry to God, and we can be the house of prayer (it has been explained in
General Service in Surabaya, October 4, 2015).
Now we learnt the way from God to make us the house of prayer.
Matthew 21: 12-13
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove outall those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'" The Lord Jesus drove out. It means the sanctification that causes the flesh sufferings or the sprinklings of blood.
WHATmust be sanctified or driven out of our heart that we can be the house of prayer?
- Selling and buying spirits or the ones of the antichrist.
Matthew 21: 12
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
- Indignant spirit or hatred without any cause because of gossips. This is also the spirit of the antichrist.
Matthew 21: 15
21:15. But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant
We learn the first one, namely
THE SANCTIFICATION FROM THE SPIRIT OF SELLING AND BUYING.
The spirit of selling and buying makes
the temple become a marketplace. It means as follows.
- All things are cheap or there is no true consecration.
It is the same as despising the blood of Jesus who has redeemed us.
- Being crowded= the amenities of the flesh or the world without sanctification.
- Looking for physical advantagessuch as money, position, and so on. It is the same as the den of thieves.
The facts found in the spirit of selling and buying are as follows.
- Stinginess and greediness.
Stinginessmeans that one cannot give to the work of the Lord or other people who need. The matter of giving does not depend on our richess, but heart, namely not being bound by money.
Greedinessmeans seizing rhe rights of God, namely the tithes and offerings, as well as the ones of others, namely doing corruption, not paying the debt, and so on.
If the spirit of the antichrist, namely selling and buying spirit, has ruled over the heart of human, the shepherding, or the temple, there will be the idolatrylike what has happened to the house of Israel as follows.
- Serving and ministering to God only to look for physical advantage or one gets unfaithful or leaves the service and ministry to look for physical things.
- Looking for money in illegal way that is not in line with the Word.
- Trading the sin offeringsor the sacrifice of Christ.
Matthew 21: 12
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
It means despising or trampling the sacrifice of Christ. One does not willingly get the deliverance from sins, but keeps them by blaming others and lives or enjoys in them without any regret, up to the sin peak. The sin peak is the sins concerning eating-drinking such as smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse, as well as the ones concerning marrying-being given in marriage such as sexuality sin with all of its kind up to the wrong marriage.
Such person lives like doglicking the vomit and swinereturning to the wallowing in the mire.
- Receiving the mark 666 from the antichrist on the forehead and hand.
Revelation 13: 16-18
13:16. He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
13:17 and that no one may buy or sellexcept one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
One who has the mark 666 on the forehead and hand cannot get the life renewal. He keeps the fleshly man with the eighteen characters of the flesh (666).
2 Timothy 3: 1-5
3:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
3:2 For men will be lovers of themselves(1), lovers of money(2), boasters(3), proud(4), blasphemers(5), disobedient to parents(6), unthankful(7), unholy(8),
3:3 unloving(9), unforgiving(10), slanderers(11), without self-control(12), brutal(13), despisers of good(14),
3:4 traitors(15), headstrong(16), haughty(17), lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God(18),
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
'the last days' = now.
'perilous times' = it is difficult to change.
'unholy' = mixing with the other religions.
'lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God' = disobedience.
Who are they?
Verse 5 => they only want to please their flesh.
The power of godliness is the sword of God's Wordor the true teaching Word that is able to sanctify and change us.
Rejecting the sword of sanctification in the house of the Lord, one will get the sword of the antichrist and the one of God's condemnation when the Lord comes a second time.
On the contrary, we will rejoice if we willingly receive the sword of sanctification that hurts our flesh now.
The number six refers to the flesh. Human was created on the sixth day.
666 refer to the fleshly body, soul, and spirit.
Consequently, one appears like a beastthat only fulfills the instinct of the flesh and gets naked.
We have our fleshly body, but we must have the spiritual soul or mind and spirit.
Be careful! The spirit of selling and buying rules over the three kinds of equipment in the Holy Place or shepherding pen.
The solutionis the firm sanctification.
THE SANCTIFICATION OF THE TABLE OF SHOWBREAD
Matthew 21: 12
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changersand the seats of those who sold doves. The tables of the money changers are overturned. The money is replaced with bread. It means the
perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
James 1: 19-22
1:19. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
1:20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
1:21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.
1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. The table of heart is filled with the bread of the true teaching Word through this process.
- Verse19 => be swift to hearmeans hearing the true teaching Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit with a gentle heart seriously until we can understand it. The Word is written on our forehead, so the antichrist cannot stamp us.
The proofs of understanding the Word are as follows.
- 'slow to speak' = we keep silent more to correct ourselves.
- 'slow to wrath' = we are patient.
We may get angry, but with love, not with emotion, to help others.
- Holy Spirit helps us to believe the Word, so it can be planted in our gentle heart to become faith. The heart is stamped by the Word, so there is no chance for the antichrist to stamp us.
As a result, the Word sprouts and produces blossoms and fruits as follows.
- The fruit of salvationor there are no swords of the antichrist and condemnations.
- The sweet fruitsor joy and hope.
- Holy Spirit helps us to obey the Word. As a result, the miracles happen.
The spiritual miracle happens that we do not deceive ourselvesas follows.
- We confess our sinand do not repeat it after being forgiven.
- We forgive and forget the sin of others.
Sinning, one says that he does not sin, he is deceiving himself. He is the most evil person.
If we do not deceive ourselves, we will neither deceive others nor God. We are changed or the spiritual miracle happens. As a result, the physical miracles also happen. There is nothing impossible for the obedient. The obedient will be successful.
THE SANCTIFICATION OF THE GOLDEN CANDLESTICKMatthew 21: 12
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturnedthe tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. The seats of those who sold doves refer to selling and buying the priest's offices and there is no sincerity (dove). It means there are no anointing and gifts of Holy Spirit. The seats of those who sold doves are overturned so that the golden candlestick can keep on burning.
The proof of being sanctified from the spirit of selling and buying is we persevere in doing General Service.
The lamp keeps on burning means as follows.
- We live in the light, so we will not stumble because of sin or darkness up to the peak, namely sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage. We also do not stumble in the ministry, so we keep faithful and fervent in spirit in ministering to God until the end, namely we pass away or Jesus comes a second time.
- We can minister to God with a sincere heart as follows.
- There is no hatred. We minister to God with love.
The dislike feelings are the proof that the dove has been sold. One becomes like a serpent or a murderer with the hatred without a cause. Consequently, his life is in sorrow like the tortuous way of a serpent, even perdition.
- Sincere heart or we minister with honesty, not with lie. The serpent is a liar.
- We minister to God without any purpose to get advantage for ourselves.
Luke 17: 7-10
17:7. "And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?
17:8 "But will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourselfand serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'?
17:9 "Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.
17:10 "So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.'"
It means as follows.
- Ministering to God only to do the duty. We have been purchased by the blood of Jesus that is priceless. We do not insist our right, praise, and thanksgiving from others, as well as the right of eating and drinking, but only glorify God. As a result, our work and reward are in the hand of God.
- We feel that we are nothing. We only rely on God's mercy.
- Ministering to God with girding our life with the belt of faithfulness and righteousness.
Isaiah 11: 5
11:5. Righteousnessshall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulnessthe belt of His waist.
In such condition, we are giving food and drink to Jesus to please and satisfy Him. Our food and drink are His concerning. We are satisfied and made joyful by the heavenly joy, so we do not need to look for the satisfaction in the dischoteque, cinema, bad friendship, and so on.
THE SANCTIFICATION OF THE GOLDEN ALTAR OF INCENSEMatthew 21: 12-13
21:12. Then Jesus went into the temple of God and drove out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
21:13 And He said to them, "It is written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer,' but you have made it a 'den of thieves.'" The proof of being sanctified from the selling and buying spirit is we can persevere in doing Prayer Service.
The worship means as follows.
- The process to tear the fleshwith all of its wills and lusts, so that we will not be scratched out by the antichrist whose feet are like the ones of a bear (Revelation 13).
As a result, the more we worship God, the more we are embraced by Him.
Fasting and all night-long prayer will hasten the tearing of the flesh. We are competing with the time of Jesus' second coming that is so fast.
- The process to offer our whole life to God.
It begins from offering the smallest thing, namely the tithes and offerings, and then we can offer the worship prayer or become the house of prayer and our whole life to God to be His bride.
If the temple has been sanctified from the selling and buying spirit through the sanctification of the Table of Showbread, Golden Candlestick, and Golden Altar of Incense, we will be the
HOUSE OF PRAYERand we can say '
Alleluia' and the powerful name of Jesus.
Philippians 2: 8-9
2:8. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, Jesus is obedient to the point of the death of the cross, so He receives the name which is above every name or the powerful one. We can get it through the Holy Communion.
The results are as follows.
- The power of victory over the trinity of Satan or the source of sins up to the peak, tears, and problems.
Philippians 2: 10
2:10. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
'of those in heaven' = Satan.
'of those on earth' = false prophet.
'of those under the earth' = the antichrist.
We just say the name of Jesus and we can defeat the sin. We can live in righteousness and holiness. We just say the name of Jesus and we are comforted that we can have the peace and joy of heaven. We just say the name of Jesus and there is nothing impossible for him.
- The power of lifting up.
Philippians 2: 9
2:9.Therefore God also has highly exaltedHim and given Him the name which is above every name,
It means as follows.
- The fall in sin can be forgiven and healed.
- The failure can be changed into successs and beauty in time of need.
- We are used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the building of the perfect body of Christ.
- The power of renewal.
Philippians 2: 11
2:11. and that every tongue should confessthat Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
It begins from the tongue that only confesses the sin. We do not repeat the sin and we can say good and right words to glorify the name of the Lord. This is a spiritual miracle.
As a result, the water can be changed into sweet wine that can be tasted, only with a spoon. It refers to the small life renewal in our tongue. It will give the sweet taste.
Matthew 21: 14
21:14. Then the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.
If the spiritual miracle happens, the physical one will also happen. There is a healing power. The impossible can be made possible. There is also a help power.
It continues until we are changed to be as perfect as Jesus is when He comes a second time. We are worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds and we become the perfect house of prayer. The people from all over the world only say 'Alleluia' to welcome Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
