Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are in Revelation 2-3 (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, July 27, 2014)about the last sanctification to the seven churches.
We are learning Revelation 3: 14-22 about the church of the
LAODICEANS. This is the last or the seventh church in the book of Revelation that shows the condition of the church in the last days or all of us (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, June 14, 2015).
Revelation 3: 21-22
3:21. "To him who overcomesI will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
3:22 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." THE PROMISE OF GODto the church of the Laodiceans or all of us who overcome is
sitting with Him on the throne of the heavenly kingdom. Jesus, the King of all kings and the heavenly Bridegroom becomes our husband and Head and we become His bride. This is our main and last purpose in following and ministering to Jesus.
The requirementis we overcome with Jesus (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, October 18, 2015to
General Service in Surabaya, October 25, 2015).
We must overcome the spiritual lukewarmness(it has been explained from
Bible Study Service in Surabaya, November 2, 2015).
Revelation 3: 16-17
3:16 "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.3:17 "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' --and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--
The spirituality of the church of the Laodiceans or the church in the last days is in lukewarmness, namely they physically are rich, but spiritually they arewretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked. It means that they are satisfied only by the physical things or blessings without being filled up by the true teaching Word or Jesus Himself. Consequently, they are empty.
They are the Christians who are like
the chaff. They only have the skin without the content. Consequently, they are burnt only to perish forever.
Jeremiah 13: 23-24
13:23. Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil.
13:24 "Therefore I will scatter them like stubbleThat passes away by the wind of the wilderness. The chaff means the servant of God who
does not experience the life renewalfrom fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus is.
'the Etiophian' refers to
the Gentiles. He cannot change the skin. It means that the Gentiles cannot easily be changed.
'the leopard' refers to one of the appearances of the
antichrist.
Revelation 13: 1-2
13:1. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
13:2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. Thus, the chaff refers to the servants of God who do not experience the life renewal, so they are
the same as the antichristand stamped with 666. It means that the body, soul, and spirit are only fleshly. It can be detected from
the mouth.
Revelation 13: 5-6
13:5. And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty-two months.
13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven. We must be careful with the things that enter our mouth, namely we must not smoke, get drunk, or do drugs abuse.
We must also be careful with the things that go out of our mouth!
The mouth of the antichrist lies, gossips, slanders, and blasphemes.
The blasphemy happens towards God, namely blaspheming the true teaching Word and supporting the false one. The blasphemy also happens towards the righteous. For example, Judas Iscariot believed the mouth of the antichrist more than Jesus.
Ephesians 2: 15-16
2:15. having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new manfrom the two, thus making peace,
2:16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. Not experiencing the life renewal,
one cannot enter the unity of the body of Christbecause the body of Christ consists of the new men.
Consequently, he enters the building of Babylon's body, the great harlot or the false church that will be destroyed.
1 Corinthians 15: 50
15:50. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. The human in flesh and blood cannot experience the life renewal, so he cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven. He cannot sit with Jesus on the heavenly throne. It means that he sinks in the sea of fire and brimstone in the hell forever.
1 Corinthians 15: 51-52
15:51. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--
15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. '
I tell you a mystery' = the mystery of God that is revealed through Paul that we shall not all sleep. Some servants of God die physically, and the other servants of God are still alive until Jesus comes a second time.
Death and life are not important. They are according to the mercy of God.
The important thing is we hear the loud sound of trumpet or the true teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword while we are alive in the worldso that we can get the life renewal from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus is.
The last sound of the trumpet will be heard when Jesus comes a second time and the
two great thingswill happen as follows.
- The dead in Jesus or the people who hear the Word and get the renewal while he is alive will be resurrected in the glorious body like Jesus.
- The people who are still alive until Jesus comes a second time or living in the renewal will be changedin the twinkling of an eye to get the glorious body like Jesus.
Both will be one perfect or glorious body of Christ or the heavenly bride who is ready to welcome Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds and enter the marriage supper of the lamb, the One Thousand Years Kingdom of Peace, and the eternal heavenly kingdom or New Jerusalem. We sit with Jesus forever.
Thus, overcoming the lukewarmness means that we get
THE LIFE RENEWALfrom fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jeus. Do not become the chaff!
Romans 12: 1-2
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.How can we experience the process of the renewal? The renewal process happens through the true teachings that lead us to the true service to God or the reasonable one.
There are two kinds of difference about the service to God as follows.
- Between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him.
Malachi 3: 18
3:18. Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.
'one who serves God' = the righteous.
'one who does not serve Him' = the wicked.
There will be separation between the righteous and the wicked when Jesus comes a second time.
Malachi 4: 1
4:1. "For behold, the day is coming, Burning like an oven, And all the proud, yes, all who do wickedly will be stubble. And the day which is coming shall burn them up," Says the LORD of hosts, "That will leave them neither root nor branch.
How great a man in the world is, he will be only like stubble if he does not serve to God. He is useless and burnt or destroyed only.
Let us advise one another that we can faithfully serve to God.
- Between one who serves God and one who also serves Him.
The difference happens because there is the true service to God and the false one.
For example, Cain and Abeloffered their sacrifices to God, but He only received one of them, namely Abel's. Judas Iscariot and the other eleven disciples served God, but they were separated.
The signs of the true or reasonable service to God are as follows.
- Presenting the sacrifice to God; not asking or looking for the blessings.
Romans 12: 1
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
It begins from the least, namely the tithes, our confession that we live by God, and offerings, until we can offer our whole life to God.
We are following God when we confess that we live by Him.
Romans 12: 1
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
'a living sacrifice' = not the dead one.
The house of Israel could not bring the animal that almost died or had the scabies.
The requirementsof the sacrifice of our life to God are as follows.
- THE LIVING BODY.
John 6: 63
6:63. "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life..
It means that we are ruled over by Holy Spiritthrough the perseverance in doing General Service, including the fellowship service or church visit service.
It refers to the Golden Candlestick to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts.
The facts found in the living body are as follows.
- Holy Spirit puts to death our sins, so we can live in righteousness. We will die if we sin.
- Holy Spirit encourages us to be faithful and fervent in spiritin serving and ministering to God. Holy Spirit cannot be limited by anything in the world, including old age.
- THE HOLY BODY.
Romans 12: 1
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
John 15: 3
15:3. "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
It means that we are cleansed by 'the word which I have spoken to you' or the revelation of God's Word whose verse explains other verses in the Bible or the teaching Word. We get it through the perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
It refers to the Table of Showbread or the fellowship with the Son of God in the teaching Word and the sacrifice of Christ.
What must be sanctified?
- The sin of Judas, namely the evil sin or the love of money that causes stinginess and greediness.
John 13: 10-11
13:10. Jesus said to him, "He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you."
13:11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, "You are not all clean."
It is the dirtiest feet or life journey of a servant of God.
- The sin of the young man, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage or the sin peak.
Psalm 119: 9
119:9. BETH. How can a young mancleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
- THE BODY THAT IS ACCEPTABLE BEFORE GOD.
Matthew 17: 5
17:5. While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!"
It means being ruled over by the love of God through the perseverance in doing Worship Prayer Service.
It refers to the Golden Altar of Incense or the fellowship with Father God in His love. We are illuminated by the love of God when we worship Him, so we can love Him or be obedient.
The obedience is the same as we love God and He loves us.
Thus, the true or reasonable service to God is as follows.
- In the pattern of Tabernacle or the heavenly kingdom.
- In the shepherding systemor perseverance in the three main services to God.
We can offer the offerings that can please God.
Leviticus 21: 12
21:12. 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his Godis upon him: I am the LORD.
This is about the holiness of the priests.
It is so heavy for our flesh to enter the shepherding, but we get the great result.
The results are as follows.
- We can be the servants of God who are anointed by Him, so we can minister to Him faithfully and fervently in spirit. We can be the servants of God who live in holiness.
The holy, faithful, and fervent in spirit ministers of God are the apple of His eyethat He specializes. The eye of God is like a flame of fire.
We are preserved and protected by God from now on in the difficulties of the world until the time when the antichrist reigns over the world for three years and a half. A grain of sand cannot enter us, the apple of God's eye.
- We become the servants of God who are alive.
Leviticus 10: 7
10:7. "You shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die, for the anointing oil of the LORD is upon you." And they did according to the word of Moses.
For example, Daniel was in a den of lions, but he could be alive because there was the power of God to shut the lions' mouths or defeat Satan.
Daniel 6: 19-22
6:19. Then the king arose very early in the morning and went in haste to the den of lions.
6:20 And when he came to the den, he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel. The king spoke, saying to Daniel, "Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?"
6:21 Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever!
6:22 "My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you."
We defeat Satan means as follows.
- We defeat the false teachings, so we can keep on holding fast the true teaching Word.
- We defeat the sins up to the peak, so we can keep on living in righteousness and holiness.
- We defeat the impossible problems or all problems are solved.
- We overcome the hindrance. We cannot be hindered by anything in our service and ministry to God, so we keep on ministering to God until the end, namely we pass away or Jesus comes a second time.
- 'The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want' = we can be as perfect as Jesus is.
- We experience the life renewal.
Romans 12: 2
12:2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Formerly, in the Old Testament, the meat had to be burnt as the sweet smelling aroma so that the meat did not produce stench and worms.
In the New Testament, we must experience the renewal, namely the sprinklings of blood or the cross.
If we do not experience the sprinklings of blood or the cross, we will not please God.
1 Peter 4: 12-14
4:12.Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trialwhich is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
We experience the renewal through the fiery trial or sufferings in the flesh with Jesus or the cross, such as being slandered, being blamed although we are not wrong, and so on.
Do not be afraid of experiencing the fiery trial, the cross, or the burning, because the spirit of glory will be poured out to us and we can experience these two things.
- 'If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you' = we can feel joyful and give thanks in the sufferings, not grumbling.
We can be strong to endure.
For example, Jesus knew that the bread was His body when He broke it, but He gave thanks to God.
- We experience the life renewal or burningthat results in the sweet-smelling aroma before God. The facts found in it are as follows.
- The heart renewal.
All fleshly characters are hard, but the hardest one is the heart.
Romans 12: 2
12:2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The hard heart must be renewed to be obedientlike the one of a servant. We must have a sensitive heart to be able to distinguish the true and the false. It begins from the true teachings and the false ones.
The house of Israel said that the gold calf was God. Moses was obedient, so he could be firm.
Elijah in facing the prophets of Baal also said to the house of Israel to choose between following God or Baal.
After we are able to distinguish between the true teachings and the false ones, we can distinguish between the true worship and the false one. We can be sensitive. Then, we can distinguish between the true marriage and the false one.
The obedient heart is like the one of Jesus (Philippians 2: 8). Jesus is obedient to the point of the death of the cross.
Ephesians 5: 1-2
5:1. Therefore be imitators of Godas dear children.
5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
We must be obedient until our flesh does not speak anymore. As a result, we can offer the sweet-smelling aroma that is well-pleasing before God to please His heart.
The heart renewal begins from the household. The husband can love the wife. The wife can be submissive to the husband. The children can be obedient to the parents. Not being obedient is the same as producing bad odor.
In the shepherding, the pastor, congregation, and servants must be obedient. All of us must be obedient also in the inter-shepherding fellowship service.
- The deeds renewal.
Philippians 4: 17-18
4:17. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.
4:18 Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.
It begins from the righteous deeds, and then we can do the good deeds, namely giving for the work of God and other people who are in need; even we can repay good for evil.
It is the sweet-smelling aroma before God.
- The mouth renewal.
Hebrews 13: 15
13:15.Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
'the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name' begins from the righteous and good sayingthat becomes blessings for other people. For example, we can testify to strengthen other people. We can hosnestly confess the true and the false.
Lying means producing bad odor and bitterness.
Exodus 29: 22, 24-25
29:22. "Also you shall take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, the right thigh (for it is a ram of consecration),
29:24 "and you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them as a wave offeringbefore the LORD.
29:25 "You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the LORD. It is an offering made by fire to the LORD. The wave offering was in the hands of Aaron, the High Priest, as the sweet aroma or the best offering for God. The fat was taken from the ram and put on the hands of Aaron to be waved and burnt to produce the sweet aroma.
Likewise, one who is shepherded well can offer the best offerings for God.
Such personis
being waved by the hands of the High Priest, namely the Lord Jesus Christ.
Being waved in the merciful hand of Jesus means as follows.
- We are moved or used in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
- We are carried or loved.
Isaiah 46: 3-4
46:3. "Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, Who have been upheld by Me from birth, Who have been carried from the womb:
46:4 Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
It means that the Lord as the High Priest is responsible for our life and death. He bears all of our weariness and heavy burdens, so our life becomes easy and light. All problems are solved or helped by God.
- The fat is the best offerings. If we give the best offerings to God, He will also give us the best. We get the best future life that is beautiful and successful in time of need. Do not be doubtful!
Luke 10: 17-20
10:17. Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."
10:18 And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.
10:19 "Behold, I give you the authorityto trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
10:20 "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
Verse 19 = we are given the power of victory and the miracles. It is good, but the best thing is our name's being written in the heavenly kingdom. We can sit with Jesus on the heavenly throne forever or we are perfect.
God blesses you.
