Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Mark 9: 30-32
9:30. Then they departed from there and passed through Galilee, and He did not want anyone to know it.
9:31 For
He taught His disciplesand said to them, "The Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of men, and they will kill Him. And after He is killed, He will rise the third day."
9:32 But
they did not understand this saying, and were afraid to ask Him.

Jesus was teaching His disciples. Thus, the disciples refer to the people who receive the teaching Word.

What is the teaching Word?
Colossians 3: 16
3:16. Let the word of Christdwell in you richly in all wisdom, teachingand admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

It is the Word spoken by Jesus Himself as follows.

  1. The Word written in the Bible.
  2. The Word revealed by the Lord through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible.

2 Timothy 4: 2
4:2. Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.

The content of the true teaching Word is as follows
.

  1. Convincing.
It reveals the sins in the congregation.

  2. Rebuking(if the first content is rejected).
It is the hard Word showing the sin and weakness right in the heart.

  3. Exhorting(if the rebuke is received and one returns to God).
It makes us not return to the old life or the sinful one, but walk following the will of God.

The functions of the teaching Word are as follows
.

  1. There is creation powerin the Word that has created the world and all things in it, including human.
    John 1: 1-3
1:1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
    1:3
All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.

    It means as follows.

    • It creates something that does not exist yet or makes impossible things possible.
    • It repairs the corrupt things or the sinful people to become the first creation.

  2. For sanctifying us.
    John 15: 3
15:3. "You are already clean because of the wordwhich I have spoken to you.

It means cutting our sins. The sinful hand is cut or cleansed by the sword of the Word and then we need the third function so that there is no defect.

  3. For sanctifying and renewing us.
    Colossians 3: 10
3:10. and have put on the new man who is renewedin knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

We are sanctified and renewed until we become the same as Jesus, the Creator.

    What must be sanctified?
    Colossians 3: 5
3:5. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication(1), uncleanness(2), passion(3), evil desire(4), and covetousness(5), which is idolatry(6).

The six outer sins must be sanctified
    .

    Colossians 3: 8-9
3:8. But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger(1), wrath(2), malice(3), blasphemy(4), filthy language(5)out of your mouth.
    3:9 Do not
lie(6)to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

The six inner sins must also be sanctified as follows.

    • Anger.
This means the anger that has been a characteristic. We may get angry if it is in the love of God.
    • Wrath.
    • Malice.
    • Blasphemy.
    • Filthy language or the useless words that only make others stumble.
    • Lie.

    Colossians 3: 12-14
    3:12.Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies(1), kindness(2), humility(3), meekness(4), longsuffering(5);
3:13 bearing with one another, and
forgiving(6)one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
3:14 But above all these things put on
love(7), which is the bond of perfection.

After we are sanctified from the six outer sins and the six inner ones, God will renew and equip us with the seven characteristicsas follows.

    • Tender mercy means that we do not judge others who are sinful, but bring them to God.
    • Kindness or we like giving.
    • Humility means the ability to confess the sin.
    • Meekness means the ability to receive other in their goodness or weakness.
    • Longsuffering means we patiently bear the suffering and wait for the time of God.
    • Forgiving others like God has forgiven us. It must be our characteristic.
    • Love as the bond of unity and perfection means that we love God more than anything and love others like ourselves.

The figure seven refers to the perfection.

Thus, the function of the true teaching Word is to sanctify, renew, and perfectour life until we become the perfect Bride of God or the one perfect body of Christ.

Ephesians 5: 22-25, 32
5:22. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
5:23 For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body.
5:24 Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
5:32 This is a great mystery, but I speak
concerning Christ and the church.

We must keep the unity. It begins from within our marriage or household that is in one heart and one mind like the head is united with the body, and then in the shepherding, and inter-shepherding fellowship.

The requirement is the renewal until the Gentiles and Isrealites are renewed and united in the one perfect body of Christ.

We cannot be renewed to reach the perfection if there is no true teaching Word.

God waits for our renewal until the end. There are two kinds of the end line as follows.

  1. We pass away.
For example, the criminal crucified besides Jesus could realize finally before dying and say 'And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong." Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

  2. Jesus comes a second time.
The voice of the Son of God or the last trumpet will be heard.

    John 5: 25
5:25. "Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead willhear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.

    1 Corinthians 15: 52
15:52. in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

The dead will be resurrected and the alive will be renewed to become one with the Lord forever.

The key is the life renewal we get now by the work of God's Word.
We will be renewed someday at the last trumpet until we are changed to be as perfect as Jesus is if now we are being renewed. On the contrary there is no life renewal later if now one is not renewed.

If there is the true teaching Word, there will be the spiritual miracle, namely the life renewal until we are perfect.
Afterwards, the physical miracle will happen for sure.

Unfortunately, the disciples did not understand(in Mark 9). It means as follows.

  1. Not being able to hear the true teaching Word.
    2 Timothy 4: 3-4
    4:3. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;
    4:4 and they will
turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

'they will not endure sound doctrine'= they do not understand the true teaching Word until they turn their ears away from the teaching Word and open the ear to fables.
    The fables mean as follows.

    • Something that is not right; only joke, illustration, and so on.
    • The doctrine that is not in line with the truth of the Word.It is not written in the Bible. It cannot be accounted for because the verse does not explain other verses, but the logic, joke, knowledge, philosophy, and so on do.

    It is dangerous.
'the time will come' = the last time.
There will be the deception. There will be many people who do not willingly understand the Word in the end line when Jesus will come a second time. There will be many people who open their ears for the fables more than the ones who willingly hear the true teachings.

Consequently, one is lost for sure.

It is written in Matthew 24:3-4 that the coming of the Lord refers to the last time. One of the signs is the deception, before the earthquakes, wars, and so on.

    Matthew 24: 3-4
24:3. Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?"
24:4 And Jesus answered and said to them: "
Take heed that no one deceives you(1).
There are many people who do not understand when Jesus will come a second time, so they are lost.

    Matthew 24: 5, 11, 24
24:5. "For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will
    deceive(2) many.
24:11 "Then many false prophets will rise up and
    deceive(3)many.
24:24 "For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders
to deceive(4), if possible, even the elect.

Be careful of the deception because it is written four times.

There are two kinds of the false doctrine that bring the deception as follows.

    • THE DOCTRINE OF HUMAN.

      1. The doctrine about the tradition.
        Matthew 15: 3-6
15:3. He answered and said to them, "Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?
15:4 "For God commanded, saying, 'Honor your father and your mother';and, 'He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.'
15:5 "But you say, 'Whoever says to his father or mother, "Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God" --
15:6 'then he need not honor his father or mother.' Thus you have made
the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition.

Verse 3-4 = the true teaching Word.
Verse 5-6 = the doctrine about the tradition.

We may use the tradition, but it must not be contrary to the Word.

      2. The doctrine of the Pharisees.
        Matthew 19: 3
19:3.The Phariseesalso came to Him, testing Him, and saying to Him, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wifefor just any reason?"

It is the doctrine that allows the divorce and remarrying (with other man or woman) with all reasons.

      3. The doctrine of the Sadducees.
It is the doctrine that does not confess the resurrection.
        1 Corinthians 15: 32
15:32. If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!"

Consequently, one will fall and rise in sin up to the peak.

Such doctrine makes the sin legal.

      4. The doctrine of Jezebel.
        Revelation 2: 20
2:20. "Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teachand seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.

        1. The doctrine that allows woman to teach and have authority over men, both in the service to God and household.
        2. The doctrine of the depth of Satan, including the house and sort of Satan.

      5. The doctrine of Babylon, namely the one that only emphasizes the prosperity and entertainment physicallywithout the sanctification.

It is in line with the doctrine of Balaam that is about pursuing the physical wage only.

    • THE DOCTRINE OF SATAN.
      1 Timothy 4: 1
4:1. Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

Genesis 2: 16-17 => the true teaching Word.
      2:16.And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
      2:17 "but
of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

      Genesis 3: 2-5
      => the teaching of Satan.
      3:2. And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden;
3:3 "but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said,
'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.' "
3:4 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.
3:5 "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and
you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

      The meanings are as follows.

      1. The doctrine that reverses the Wordor the one that is not in line with the Word.

Satan teaches in order to make human the same as God by resisting or reversing the Word. The Word says that something is not allowed, but Satan says that it is allowed. This is the cleverness of Satan even he will impersonate as the angel of light and teach also.

      2. The doctrine without the support of the verses in Bible.
        Luke 4: 3
4:3. And the devil said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."

      3. The doctrine that uses the verse in the Bible but it is interpreted using the logic, not the verse that explains other verses.
        Luke 4: 9-11
4:9. Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.
        4:10 "
For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,'
4:11 "and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'"

  2. There is no teaching Word.

Why did they do not understand? Because of THE HARDNESS OF HEART.
    The preacher must be corrected.

We remember about the sowing of the seed. From among the four kinds of soil, only one is successful. It means the success of preching of the Word is only twenty five percent.

    Mark 6: 34
6:34. And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things.

Before Jesus taught or there was no true teaching Word, the condition had been like sheep having no shepherd.

    Matthew 9: 36
9:36. But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.

That is the condition in weariness or being scattered.

BEING WEARYmeans heavy burden or tiredness until one often does not serve and minister to God.
The Word is like the food. The more one serves to God without eating the food, the weaker he is.

BEING SCATTEREDmeans being ignored or forgotten. None pays attention to him physically or spiritually.

One will fallif he continues in such condition.

    Matthew 15: 7-9
15:7. "Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
15:8 'These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
    15:9 And
in vainthey worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'"

One who is weary and scattered because there is no true teaching Word may still have the service and ministry to God that seem great, but God says that it is 'in vain'.

    Matthew7: 23
7:23. "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; departfrom Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

The price Jesus must pay to make our life easy and light and pay attetntion to our life is by His death on the cross as the Good Shepherd who gives His soul for the sheep
.

God blesses you.
