Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are in Revelation 2-3 (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, July 27, 2014)about the last sanctification to the seven churches that they can be perfect. The church has many excellences, but cannot welcome Jesus' second coming if there is a blemish. Therefore, we need the last sanctification.
We are learning Revelation 3: 14-22 about the church of the
LAODICEANS. This is the last or the seventh church in the book of Revelation that shows the condition of the church in the last days or all of us (it has been explained from
General Service in Surabaya, June 14, 2015).
Revelation 3: 21-22
3:21. "To him who overcomesI will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
3:22 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." THE PROMISE OF GODto the church of the Laodiceans or all of us who overcome is
sitting with Him on the throne of the heavenly kingdom or New Jerusalem forever or we become His Bride. This is our main and last purpose in following and ministering to Jesus.
The relationship between the bridegroom and the bride is in
LOVE. We must have the love of God to sit with Jesus on the heavenly throne. The love of God refers to the two tablets of stone in Tabernacle which consist of two parts as follows.
- The first tablet.
It contains four laws, namely loving God with all of our body, soul, and spirit or more than anything (it has been explained from Bible Study Service in Surabaya, December 7, 2015to General Service in Surabaya, December 13, 2015).
- The second tablet.
It contains six laws, namely loving other people as we love ourselves; even we love our enemies.
AD 2. THE SECOND TABLETIn Tabernacle, there are three levels of loving other people as we love ourselves as follows.
- The Court.
Matthew 5: 46
5:46. "For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectorsdo the same?
The first level is we love other people who love us.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- Repaying good for good.
This is the first because of these reasons.
- The tax collector or sinful may do it.
- There is intent to get physical advantage. The good is repaid with good and the evil is repaid with evil.
- There is no wage from God.
The Gentiles usually do it. Thus, the servants of God should do it as the characteristic. Nevertheless, it must be increased.
- Loving others who are in deficiency either physically or spiritually.
Luke 14: 12-14
14:12.Then He also said to him who invited Him, "When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors, lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid.
14:13 "But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.
14:14 "And you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the resurrection of the just."
It begins from the household, shepherding, and inter-shepherding fellowship service.
Matthew 25: 37-40
25:37. "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?
25:38 'When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You?
25:39 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?'
25:40 "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.'
For example, we give to and visit others. We pray for others, testify, and give the Word to them.
It is the same as ministering to God. It will never be useless. God will repay it to us.
1 John 3: 16-18
3:16. By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
3:17 But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
3:18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
God has given His life for us, so we have to give our life for others.
If the door of the heart is not opened, the one of the heavenly kingdom will not be opened.
The requirementof loving others who are in deficiency is we do it as a deed or practice, not a theory or saying only. It means that we give in the truth, not with the intent to get physical advantage or praise from others.
What must we give?
- Verse 17: worldly treasure. We must flow the blessings of God we have received to others or else we become a marsh and the heap of salt towards Babylon because of the egoism.
Moreover, we can give the spiritual blessings to others through giving them Manna magazine.
- Verse 16: our life.
Matthew 25: 31, 45-46
25:31. "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.
25:45 "Then He will answer them, saying, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'
25:46 "And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
We must give account if we do not do it. The consequence is being in curse and perdition.
- The Holy Place.
Mark 12: 31
12:31. "And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
The second level is we love others like we love ourselves.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- We do, think, and say something good towards others like we want them to do, think, and say towards us.
Matthew 7: 12
7:12. "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
It begins from between the husband and wife.
We are egoistic when we want others to be good to us but we are not good to them. It means there is no love.
Thus, loving others like we love ourselves means that we do not harm other people.
- We do not owe one anything, especially sins.
Romans 13: 8
13:8. Owe no one anythingexcept to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
The process of paying the debt of sin is through reconciliation or confessing and forgiving one another. As a result, the blood of Jesus forgives us our sins. We can live in righteousness and feel peaceful.
If there is no righteousness, there will be no peace, but envy, revenge, and gossip.
Isaiah 32: 17
32:17. The work of righteousnesswill be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
The peace refers to the the One Thousand Years Kingdom of Peace. We return to the atmosphere of paradise and enter New Jerusalem or the heavenly kingdom. The atmosphere of paradise is in righteousness and silence or peace.
1 Peter 4: 7
4:7. But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.
As a result, we can prayto God and the waves and storm of the sea can be made calm or all problems can be solved and all things become easy and light.
The doubtful heart makes the drowningbecause it is the greatest wave (James 1).
- The Most Holy Place.
Matthew 5: 44-45
5:44. "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
5:45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
The third level is we love our enemy.
It means that we can love all people. We have been in the one body.
Such love is perfect like the sun or the love of Jesus in Golgotha. He asked the Father to forgive the people crucifying Him.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- Forgiving and forgetting the sin of others, or else God does not forgive us and we are in terrible life.
Matthew 6: 14-15
6:14. "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
6:15 "But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Just look at the sacrifice of Christ every time you cannot forgive. He has no sin, but been insulted, stripped, ashamed, and killed as an accursed man, but He forgives the people crucifying Him. We must look at our sins which have been forgiven by God.
- Praying for others who make hostility towards us.
- Repaying good for evil.
Formerly, Lot went out of Sodom and Gomorrah. He was commanded to run away to the mountain, but he could not endure, so he asked to run to a little city, namely Zoar. The sun rose there while the rain of fire and brimstone came down in Sodom.
The little city refers to the cross. The love of the sun is radiated on Mount Golgotha.
As for us, the cross is the place for us to confessall of our physical weaknesses such as economy, sickness, and so on, and spiritual ones, namely uncleanness, bitterness, and revenge. It is also the place for strugglingwith Jesus. As for Jesus, the cross means as follows.
- The place for Him to struggle for bearing and finishing all of our sins.
John 19: 29-30
19:29. Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
'It is finished'= Jesus struggles until giving His life. The sins are finished.
All problems will be finished if the sin is finished because sin is the heaviest problem.
Let us struggle for our weaknesses. Do not cover it, but confess it to God and other people. Jesus said 'It is finished' and then He died. It means that His promise is finished and nothing can change it. The guarantee is His life.
- Jesus also struggles to radiate the sunshine of His face.
Isaiah 52: 13-14
52:13. Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.
52:14 Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marredmore than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;
'His visage was marredmore than any man' = His face is so marred on the cross like dog and swine, even Satan.
The dog always licks its vomit. It refers to the sinful words. The swine always returns to the mire. It refers to the sinful deeds up to the peak.
Jesus radiates His glory or the sunshine to us (He has been so marred not like man anymore) to change us to be as glorious as He is.
The functions of the love of the sun or Jesus' love from the cross are as follows.
- It gives us extra power to establish us in facing all things.
Jeremiah 33: 19-21
33:19. And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
33:20 "Thus says the LORD: 'If you can break My covenant with the day and My covenant with the night, so that there will not be day and night in their season,
33:21 'then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levites, the priests, My ministers.
We do not stumble but keep on being the priests and kings until the end, namely we die or Jesus comes a second time or forever.
The light of the cross is able to lift up and restore us who have fallen like David. Do not become like Judas Iscariot whose ministry was taken by other. His entrails gushed out. Formerly He had been the treasurer whom the Lord chose and trusted, but then he was rotten and destroyed.
- The Lord makes war instead of us and gives us victory over all enemies.
Joshua 10: 12-14
10:12. Then Joshua spoke to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel: "Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon."
10:13 So the sun stood still, And the moon stopped, Till the people had revenge Upon their enemies. Is this not written in the Book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and did not hasten to go down for about a whole day.
10:14 And there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the LORD heeded the voice of a man; for the LORD fought for Israel.
All problems are solved. He gives life to us physically and spiritually. We keep righteous and holy.
- The love of the sun is able to change uslittle by little.
Matthew 13: 43
13:43. "Then the righteous will shine forth as the sunin the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
It begins from obedience like Jesus who is obedient to the point of death of the cross. Our face is bright when we are obedient.
It continues until someday our face shines like the sun when Jesus comes a second time. We are as glorious as Jesus is. We are worthy to welcome Jesus' second coming. We sit with Him on the heavenly throne forever.
God blesses you.
