Matthew 28:16-20 is about the commandment to preach the gospel or to spread the light or shekinah glory. It is needed by the world which is getting darker. To spread the light or shekinah glory means we are employed by God in the great revival according to the great commission of the Lord as follows.
- [verse 18-19] The revival of Holy Spirit at the early rain.
Matthew 28:19
28:19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
It is the revival in gospel word or the gospel of salvation. It is also called Good Tidings to bring the sinners to get the salvation through believing in Jesus and being baptized of water. It is the revival of salvation.
- The revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
Matthew 28:20
28:20 "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
It is the revival in the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ or the teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword. It is called Bride Tidings to bring the people who have been saved to enter the building of Christ’s perfect body, be sanctified, and perfected to become the Bride of God who is ready to welcome Jesus’ second coming as Heavenly Bridegroom on glorious clouds. It is the revival of perfection.
Why do we have to enter the building of the perfect body of Christ?
Matthew 8:208:20 And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head." We have to enter the building of the perfect body of Christ because Jesus longs to place Himself as the Head over His body.
If Jesus does not become the Head, the foxes and birds or the unclean and evil spirit will become the head. Therefore, we must also long for entering the building of the perfect body of Christ.
The facts found in placing Jesus as the Head are as follows.
- We must remove the foxes and birds.
It means we must experience the sanctification from evil and uncleannessthat dwell in our heart and mind.
Revelation 18:2
18:2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!
The foxes and birds or evil and unclean spirit will lead to the building of the body of Babylon. How can we be sanctified from the evil and unclean spirit?
Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two–edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Only the power of the true teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword is able to sanctify our heart and mind from the evil and unclean spirit.
Matthew 15:19
15:19 "For out of the heart proceed (1)evil thoughts, (2)murders, (3)adulteries, (4)fornications, (5)thefts, (6)false witness, (7)blasphemies.
We are sanctified from seven evil and unclean spirits that lead human to the perfection in evil and uncleanness. For example, Mary Magdalene, out of whom come seven demons.
If our heart is sanctified from the seven evil and unclean spirits, it will be filled by Holy Spirit with the seven manifestations until we can have the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah 11:1-3
11:1. There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
11:2 (1)The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, (2)The Spirit of wisdom and (3)understanding, (4)The Spirit of counsel and (5)might, (6)The Spirit of knowledge and of (7)the fear of the LORD.
11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
The fear of the Lord means we hate sins up to lie.
Psalm 25:14
25:14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.
The Lord becomes our close friend if we have the fear of Him. We are never separated with Him as the body and its Head.
The result is as follows.
- We have the revelation of God’s Word to satisfy or give us joy, so we will never fall in the satisfaction of the world. Moreover, there must be the opening of ways to solve all problems when we have the revelation of God’s Word.
- There is power to create something that does not exist yet and the impossible things are made possible.
Psalm 33:8-9
33:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
33:9 For He spoke, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.
- We must have the mind and feelings of Jesus, namely obedience to the point of death on the cross.
Philippians 2:5,8
2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
If we have the mind and feelings of Jesus, we will be able to obey Himuntil our flesh does not speak anymore.
The results are as follows.
- We have the power of Jesus’ name to give us victoryover the trinity of Satan or the source of problems, so all problems are solved, all tears are wiped away until someday there is no more tears. Being disobedient will make problems and tears come much more.
Philippians 2:9-10
2:9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
- We have the power of Jesus’ name to open the doorsalthough we only have little power. God opens the door of beautiful and joyful future life; even the door of heavenly kingdom is opened for us.
Revelation 3:8
3:8 "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
- We must worship God.
The closest relationship between head and the body is in the neck. It means the worship prayer.
Exodus 28:2-3, 6-7, 31-32
28:2 "And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.
28:3 "So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest.
28:6 "and they shall make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine woven linen, artistically worked.
28:7 "It shall have two shoulder straps joined at its two edges, and so it shall be joined together.
28:31 "You shall make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
28:32 "There shall be an opening for his head in the middle of it; it shall have a woven binding all around its opening, like the opening in a coat of mail, so that it does not tear.
There are two important things about the neck as follows.
- The opening for the head must be in the middle of it, not turning to the left or to the right. It refers to the justice of Godthat all men can worship God anywhere, anytime, and in any situation.
The neck is the way of the body to go to the Head. It means the worship prayer is the way to make us perfect or glorious as Jesus is.
- It must be strong, so that it does not tear.
It means as follows.
- We have the power of resurrection(the blue color) in the worship to defeat the enemy up to the last one, namely the death.
1 Corinthians 15:26
15:26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
If the death is defeated, we can live in righteousness and holiness. The death is the last enemy. It is destroyed means all other enemies are also defeated.
- We must be patient, strong, of good courage, and fond of worshiping God. Do not become weak, lack in diligence, or stop worshiping God to worship others.
For example, Daniel, who keeps on worshiping God although he must face the den of lions and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who keeps on worshiping God although they must face the furnace.
If the opening for the head or the worship is broken, there will be destruction in other things as follows.
- The net breaks.
Luke 5:6
5:6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their netwas breaking.
The net refers to daily lives, such as ministry, job, et cetera. The breaking net refers to decrease up to destruction in daily life.
- The edge of the robe tears.
1 Samuel 15:27-28
15:27 And as Samuel turned around to go away, Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore.
15:28 So Samuel said to him, "The LORD has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today, and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.
The edge of the robe refers to the ministry and the anointing of Holy Spirit.
1 Samuel 24:4 -6
24:4 Then the men of David said to him, "This is the day of which the LORD said to you, ‘Behold, I will deliver your enemy into your hand, that you may do to him as it seems good to you.’"And David arose and secretly cut off a corner of Saul’s robe.
24:5 Now it happened afterward that David’s heart troubled him because he had cut Saul’s robe.
24:6 And he said to his men, "The LORD forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the LORD’S anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD."
The edge of the robe which tears refers to the decrease up to the destruction in spiritual life. The sign is one easily becomes disappointed, hopeless, proud of something, angry without any cause, and envy, even makes revenge and produces bad words such as lie, slander, gossip, et cetera.
- The stomach breaks as Judas Iscariot’s.
Acts 1:18
1:18(Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out.
It means total destruction in life as well as the rottenness of sin. The sin of Judas Iscariot is stealing the possession of others and God, betrayal or unfaithfulness, and lying, so he perishes forever.
John 19:32-34
19:32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.
19:33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
19:34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
The way out of the broken condition is Jesus’ willingness to be pierced in His side. It is the mercy of God to heal the broken condition, sanctify and perfect the Gentiles.
Zechariah 12:10
12:10 "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look onMe whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn forHim as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
We must look on and mourn for the side of Jesus out of which blood and water come because of being pierced or torn by the spear.
The blood refers to repentance. We must mourn in order to repent or stop sinning to return to God.
The water refers to water baptismthrough which we have new life in righteousness and life by faith.
The spirit of grace and worship will flow in us to encourage us to worship God, believe, and fully entrust our life to Him.
John 19:36
19:36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, "Not one of His bones shall be broken."
As a result, there is no one of the bones shall be broken as follows.
- We experience the power of resurrection to heal all things that have been broken or torn.
- The power of resurrection makes us complete or perfect as Jesus is. We are sanctified and renewed to become perfect as Jesus is. We are worthy of welcoming His second coming.
If now we are not willing to see the side of Jesus and mourn, we will mourn when Jesus comes a second time.
Revelation 1:7
1:7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will seeHim, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mournbecause of Him. Even so, Amen.
If now we want to see His side and mourn, we will rejoice when Jesus comes a second time.
God blesses you.
