Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 6:12-17
6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
6:17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
The sixth judgment of Holy Spirit is the great earthquake which causes these things.
- Darkness [verse 12-13]
- Shaking [verse 14]
- Fear [verse 15-17].
ad. 1.
Darkness.
The great spiritual earthquake refers to the influence of the world with all of its activities, sorrows, amenities, uncleanness, evil, hatred, and so on that cause the sun to be black like the sackcloth of hair. It means that
there is no more love of God.
There are three things that cause the sun to be black like the sackcloth of hair as follows.
- Getting angry until the sun goes down. It means being angry without love. One gets angry without a cause until there is hatred without a cause.
Ephesians 4:26
4:26 "Be angry, and do not sin": do not let the sun go down on your wrath,
Genesis 4:3-8
4:3 And in the process of time it came to pass that Cain brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to the LORD.
4:4 Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat. And the LORD respected Abel and his offering,
4:5 but He did not respect Cain and his offering. And Cain was very angry, and his countenance fell.
4:6 So the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen?
4:7 "If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."
4:8 Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him.
Cain got angry without love to Abel until killing him. Why?
- The deeds of Cain were evil.
1 John 3:12
3:12 not as Cain who was of the wicked one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his works were eviland his brother's righteous.
Consequently, he hated the righteous.
- Envy because the service and ministry of Abel could please God.
Cain should have joined the fellowship with Abel to be righteous.
Consequently, his countenance fell or did not beam. There were no happiness and peace, so he could not welcome Jesus' second coming.
- Touching the carcass of unclean animal, one is unclean until evening.
Leviticus 11:24
11:24 ' By these you shall become unclean; whoever touches the carcass of any of them shall be unclean until evening;
It means the friendship with false teachings and sins in deed and saying. The spirituality is dead and one falls and rises in sin up to the peak. He enjoys living in sins up to the peak.
Consequently, the face becomes bad like dog and swine.
2 Peter 2:20-22
2:20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning.
2:21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.
2:22 But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: "A dog returns to his own vomit," and, "a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire."
- Not returning the garment which is as a pledge until the sun goes down.
Exodus 22:26-27
22:26 If you ever take your neighbor's garment as a pledge, you shall return it to him before the sun goes down.
22:27 "For that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What will he sleep in? And it will be that when he cries to Me, I will hear, for I am gracious.
Romans 3:23
3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
All men in the world have sinned and lost the righteousness, holiness, and glory since Adam and Eve sinned in garden Eden and were cast to the world. It is the same as making the garment as a pledge. In the nakedness, one shows his flesh and embarrasses himself until he is not ashamed anymore.
The true attitudes are as follows.
- Returning the garment which is as a pledge before the sun goes down. It means not talking about the sin or nakedness of others.
- Doing reconciliation through confessing and forgiving one another. As a result, the blood of Jesus will take away all of our sins.
Not returning the garment which is as a pledge until the sun goes down means as follows.
- Liking to talk about the sin or nakedness of others, even when they may not be guilty.
- Not doing reconciliation. One does not forgive the sin of others. He also does not confess his sin, but blames others and God.
It is the same as keeping the nakedness, so he cannot welcome Jesus' second coming.
Matthew 16:21-23
16:21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.
16:22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, "Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!"
16:23 But He turned and said to Peter, "Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."
The purpose of Jesus' going to Jerusalem is to die on the cross to return the garment which is as a pledge to cover our nakedness.
It means that the Lord confesses all of our sins and bears all of the consequences, namely the curses, labor, and heavy burdens.
Unfortunately, Peter, a great servant of God, rejected the cross because of using the fleshly mind or logic. He became egoistic and sacrificed the interest of others and God. He did not confess his sin, but blamed others. Consequently, Jesus said "Get behind me, Satan." It means that his face becomes like Satan.
The consequences of the sunset or being without love are as follows.
- Whatever we have done becomes useless without love; even it will only destroy the body of Christ. Our service and ministry to God will also be useless without love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-3
13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal.
13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
- Love is eternal. Without love, all things are not eternal; even going towards perdition.
1 Corinthians 13:8
13:8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
1 John 4:10
4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
God is love, so He does not want us to have sad and bad face or the one of Satan which will bring perdition.
Therefore, He sent His only Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Isaiah 52:13-15
52:13 Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.
52:14 Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marredmore than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;
52:15 So shall He sprinkle many nations. Kings shall shut their mouths at Him; For what had not been told them they shall see, And what they had not heard they shall consider.Isaiah 53:1-4
53:1 Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
53:2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, And as a root out of dry ground. He has no form or comeliness; And when we see Him, There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
53:3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.Jesus is a glorious successful servant of God and His face shines, but it becomes so bad on the cross to radiate the sunshine to us, namely His mercy and goodness. Whatever condition we have, let us return to the love of God.
Psalm 136:1-6
136:1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
136:2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever.
136:3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:
136:4 To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever;
136:5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever;
136:6 To Him who laid out the earth above the waters, For His mercy endures forever; On the cross, Jesus alone was stretching His hand of mercy and goodness to us, to perform great wonder.
The results are as follows.
- Changing us from the fleshly man to the spiritual one like Jesus.
The sad face can be cheerful, namely appreciating and loving one another.
The bad face can be cheerful, namely living in righteousness in all aspects of our life.
The face like Satan can be cheerful, namely confessing and forgiving one another. As a result, the blood of Jesus washes our sins and we feel peaceful. All things become easy and light up to the easiest and lightest condition when we are lifted up to the glorious clouds to welcome Jesus' second coming.
- If the spiritual miracle happens, the physical one will happen also.
[Psalm 136:5-6] God's hand of goodness and mercy is able to create something that does not exist yet and preserve our life in the midst of difficulties in the world on the last days up to the time when the Antichrist reigns over the world.
- God's hand of goodness and mercy is able to divide the Red Sea or solve all impossible problems.
Psalm 136:13
136:13 To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever;
The Red Sea can be divided. It means that we have the beautiful successful future life. The hand of God lifts us up from the valley of failure.
It also means that the way to Canaan is opened or God uses us in the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain or the great one for edifying the body of Christ. Not being the great army, one will be a dry bone. Tonight, God wants to change the dry bones into the great army to be used in the edifying of the body of Christ.
- The last miracle happens when Jesus comes a second time, namely the face shines like the sun. We are ready to welcome Jesus second coming on the glorious clouds.
Matthew 13:43
13:43 "Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!
God blesses you.
