10:10b. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Why must Jesus come to give life in abundance?
Because Satan has destroyed the earth physically and confined human in sins spiritually, so there is no physical and spiritual life, but destruction and perdition.
Therefore, Jesus must come to the world to give us life in abundance.
How can Jesus give us the life in abundance?
There are three times of Jesus’ appearance to give us the life in abundance that are written in the gospel according to John chapter 10 as follows.
Tonight we still discuss Jesus as the Son of God.
The Son of God is a human that is God.
1 John 4:8-9
4:8. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.
4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
God is love, so the Son of God is the love. Jesus as the Son of God brings the love of God to the world to give the life in abundance.
The life in abundance means as follows.
Thus, we can receive the life in abundance through the love of God.
Jesus is bringing the love of God but the reality of the last days is without the love of God. It is dangerous.
Matthew 24:12
24:12. "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.
The servants and sons of God become rebellious and perish in the crisis of love.
Actually, there are three kinds of spiritual crisis or winter as follows.
Thus, the crisis of the Word happens first, and then the crisis of Holy Spirit and love of God happen. The three kinds of crisis cannot be separated from one another because in the beginning is the Word of God. Holy Spirit without the Word is not the true Holy Spirit but emotion of flesh only.
ad. 1. The crisis of faith or the Word of God.
Jeremiah 36:21-23
36:21. So the king sent Jehudi to bring the scroll, and he took it from Elishama the scribe’s chamber. And Jehudi read it in the hearing of the king and in the hearing of all the princes who stood beside the king.
36:22 Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month, with a fire burning on the hearth before him.
36:23 And it happened, when Jehudi had read three or four columns, that the king cut it with the scribe’s knife and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.
King Jehoiakim heard the Word of God, and then he cuts and burns the Word. It means not appreciating the Word of God, so there is spiritual winter. It is the winter of faith.
The practice of not appreciating the Word is as follows.
ad. 2. The crisis of hope or Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1-3
2:1. When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2:2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
2:3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
Acts 28:1-3
28:1. Now when they had escaped, they then found out that the island was called Malta.
28:2 And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fireand made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.
28:3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
Where there is winter, there will be viper. It means that there is serpent biting to make spiritual death when there is crisis of faith.
The Acts is started with the pouring of the fire of Holy Spirit and ends with the winter, namely the crisis of hope or Holy Spirit. Therefore, we must be careful.
The serpent bit the hand of Paul when there was the crisis of Holy Spirit. The purpose was as follows.
Acts 28:3-5
28:3.But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
28:4 So when the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they said to one another, "No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he has escaped the sea, yet justice does not allow to live."
28:5 But he shook off the creature into the fire and suffered no harm.
Paul did not experience the winter although it was winter. It means that Paul did not experience the crisis of Holy Spirit because he increased in the anointing of Holy Spirit, namely from the tongues of fire to the burning fire or from the fullness of Holy Spirit to the overflowing in Holy Spirit. It means the full hope in God, so he could shake off the serpent into the fire and the poison could not enter him.
We need the anointing, infilling, and overflowing of Holy Spirit tonight to face the winter of hope and the bite of serpent.
The function of Holy Spirit is as follows.
God blesses you.

John 10:33,36
10:33. The Jews answered Him, saying, "For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God."
10:36 "do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?

Numbers 21:4-6
21:4. Then they journeyed from Mount Hor by the Way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way.
21:5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses: "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread."
21:6 So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and many of the people of Israel died.
Psalm 78:23-25
78:23. Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of heaven,
78:24 Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven.
78:25 Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.
Manna is the abundant angel’s bread.
The bread refers to the Word of God. The angel refers to the shepherd. Thus, the angels’ food or bread refers to shepherding Word.
The shepherding Word is the food God trusts to a pastor to preach to the congregation faithfully, continually, and repetitively to become nutrition to make the spirituality of the congregation grow up to the spiritual maturity until they are as perfect as Jesus is. If the sheep can eat the food, not only the spirituality will grow, but also the physical life.
Be alert! There are many people loathing the shepherding Word now.
The shepherding Word is the purest Word the congregation does not doubt because of knowing who the preacher is.
There are many pastors who loathe the shepherding and do not want to feed the congregation.
Moreover, there are many sheep that loathe the Word and do not want to consume it.
If the pastor and the congregation loathe the shepherding, there will be opened opportunity for the fiery serpent to bite them.
The poison of the serpent points to the sins up to the peak and false teachings.
The poison of serpent penetrates to the heart to make spiritual dryness and perdition.
The symptom of spiritual dryness is dry saying such as gossip, lie, slander, provocation, et cetera.
The spiritual death will bring the second death up to everlasting perdition. - Murmuring in hearing the true teaching Word explained by a verse that explains other verses in bible or the hard teaching Word.
John 6:60-62,66
6:60. Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, "This is a hard saying; who can understand it?"
6:61 When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, "Does this offend you?
6:62 "What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before?
6:66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
Murmuring means rejecting the true teaching Word because of the hardness of heart or the kept sins.
The teaching Word will become harder if the heart is hard, so one cannot stand hearing it until someday he goes back and walks with Jesus no more. He follows his own flesh lust to look for the Word that does not touch on his sins. Continuing in it, he will follow the false teachers to perish. On the contrary, Jesus will sanctify his sins if he wants to follow Him.
If we want to receive the true teaching Word and get the sanctification or we do not enter the crisis of faith, the Word will not be harder anymore, but the advice, so that we do not sin anymore as well as the solution. As a result, there is miracle for sure.
ad. 2. The crisis of hope or Holy Spirit

Galatians 6:11
6:11. See with what large letters I have written to you with my own hand!
It means to make us not able to receive the Word of God, but to die spiritually. Moreover, it wants to make us not able to serve God as the servants of righteousness, but the servant of Satan or the instruments of wickedness that sin up to the peak.
The sword of the Word of God will become dull and pierce a wrong target if there is no Holy Spirit.
We need not only the Word but also Holy Spirit tonight. - To make Paul not able to lift up the hands to worship God.
1 Timothy 2:8
2:8. I desire therefore that the men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting;
It means to make us not able to worship God and be forced to worship the antichrist someday.

Psalm 133:1-3
133:1.<<A Song of Ascents. Of David.>>Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
133:2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.
133:3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing––Life forevermore.
It means that we have one heart or teaching and voice or true worship to reach the oneness of the perfect body of Christ.
Afterward, we get these results.- All things become good and beautiful in His time.
It starts from marriage that we must keep the one heart and voice. Afterwards, we only need to wait for the time of God to make all things beautiful and good. - God commands the blessings forever.
- All things become good and beautiful in His time.
- Holy Spirit makes us faithful. We are never in the winter, but we keep fervent in spirit.
Romans 12:11
12:11. not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; - Holy Spirit renews us from the flesh men to spiritual ones as Jesus is.
Titus 3:5
3:5. not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
It is the greatest miracle Satan cannot imitate. We can change. The important thing is whether we want it or not.
Before being filled up with Holy Spirit, Peter had denied Jesus. After being filled up with Holy Spirit, he could say righteously and bear witness. Do not lie again, but say righteously and worship God.
We often use our emotion as Peter cutting the ears of other person. We will be changed to become patient if we have Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit is able to change us from uncleanness to holiness like Mary, and from unbelief to belief in God like Thomas.
If the spiritual miracle happens, the physical ones will also happen. Holy Spirit is able to help us to make the mountains plain and the impossible things possible.
It continues until Jesus comes a second time and we can welcome Him to be with Him forever.
