Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:1-8 can be divided as follows:
- Verse 1 is about a new heaven and a new earth.
- Verse 2-3 is about a new man.
- Verse 4-8 is about the new atmosphere.
Revelation 21:1 21:1. Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.John the apostle saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away because of the doomsday. It refers to the renewal as follows:
- The renewal of attention. It means caring for the things of the Lord or the spiritual and eternal ones as follows:
- God's Word.
- God's lovingkindness.
- The heavenly kingdom.
- There is no more sea.
James 1:6
1:6. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the seadriven and tossed by the wind.
The sea refers to the doubtful heart.
Romans 14:23
14:23. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
It refers to the renewal of heart that tends to do evil continually to become a good conscience.
How can we receive the good conscience?
- The true water baptism.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20. who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21. There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good consciencetoward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
One who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life, namely the good conscience.
- Worshipping God, so we can have and keep the good conscience.
Hebrews 13:18
13:18. Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably.
The facts and functions of the good conscience in daily life are as follows:
- Having a conscience without offense.
Acts 24:14-16
24:14. "But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets.
24:15. "I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.
24:16. "This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offensetoward God and men.
It means keeping holding fast the pure Word.
1 Peter 2:2
2:2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
It is the same as newborn babes who desire the pure milk of the word.
Purity means the true or pure Word of God, namely the Word whose secret is revealed through one verse that explains the other verses in the Holy Bible--the true teaching Word.
It is also preached in the anointing of Holy Spirit as well as in order and regularity.
It is the same as the true teaching Word that is preached by a shepherd faithfully and repetitively--the shepherding Word.
If we have a conscience without offense, we will always hold fast and obey the true teaching Word. We can enjoy it in our life until the finish line, and it cannot be replaced by anything else.
As a result, we experience the spiritual growth as follows:
- The salvation, namely life in righteousness--the Court of the Tabernacle.
2 Samuel 22:31
22:31. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
We receive the fence or shield, namely God's blessing and mercy.
Psalm 5:12
5:12. For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
As a result, God does all things well.
1 Peter 2:3
2:3. if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
- Holiness--the Holy Place.
1 Peter 2:4-5
2:4. Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious,
2:5. you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
In the sheepfold, we persevere in the three kinds of main service to God, so we are purified by the Trinity of God. We live in holiness, so we are equipped with the ministry and Holy Spirit's gift--the tunic of many colors. We are appointed as the priests and kings to be used in the ministry of the building of the body of Christ until the finish line. As a result, our life becomes beautiful in due time.
- The perfection--the Most Holy Place.
- Being strong and of good courage.
Psalm 16:7-8
16:7. I will bless the LORD who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.
16:8. I have set the LORD always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.
It means that we are not shaken. We do not get desperate and disappointed as well as leave God in facing the challenge and obstacle of the ministry. We just see God as the High Priest who stands at the right hand of the throne of God the Father.
Acts 7:54-55
7:54. When they heard these things they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.
7:55. But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God,
The heart is filled by Holy Spirit, so we can minister, just as Jesus ministers as follows:
- Being signified with the sacrificing. All things must be sacrificed for the building of the body of Christ, except the true teaching Word--Jesus as the Head. Sacrificing the true teaching Word is the same as building the body without the head, so one will live blindly. It is so terrible.
- Ministering in holiness.
- Ministering faithfully and fervently until the finish line, namely our death or Jesus' second coming.
We become the servant of God who is like a flame of fire.
Hebrews 1:7
1:7. And of the angels He says: "Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire."
Daniel 7:9
7:9. "I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;
We become the throne of God in the world. It means that we present the throne of the glory of God anywhere, anytime, and in any circumstances in the world. We can feel God's glory to purify, unify, finish the problem, and make us happy.
Revelation 1:14
1:14. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire;
We become the apple of God's eye. Nothing can disturb us; even a grain of sand.
Psalm 17:8
17:8. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
We receive the shadow of the two wings of a great eagle, namely God's protection and preservation in the midst of the difficulties of the world until we are evacuated to the wilderness, far from the eyes of the Antichrist who reigns over the world for three and a half years. We are taken care of directly by God with the Word and Holy Communion up to perfection.
- Having a calm heart.
1 John 3:19-22
3:19. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.
3:20. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
3:21. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God.
3:22. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.
The good conscience knows if something is wrong. Having a calm heart means that all things have been fixed by the blood of Jesus, so Satan cannot accuse us. God cannot show our sin. We are not accused, and we do not accuse others.
Luke 6:17-19
6:17. And He came down with them and stood on a level placewith a crowd of His disciples and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases,
6:18. as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed.
6:19. And the whole multitude sought to touch Him, for power went out from Him and healed them all.
The calm heart is the same as a level place where Jesus comes through with His great mercy.
A level place in front of the hill--Golgotha--means the heart that appreciates Christ's sacrifice. The facts are as follows:
- One always makes peace with God and others. As a result, the blood of Jesus takes away our sin, so we experience peace.
- Honesty.
The heart can receive God's love that helps us to worship Him. We make effort to touch God and be touched by Him.
If our heart is empty of God's love, the worship will become the hardest ministry in our life. It is like the disciples who fell asleep while praying.
Matthew 26:43
26:43. And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy.
Consequently, we will not able to face the temptation, so we deny God.
Mark 5:25-29
5:25. Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,
5:26. and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.
5:27. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
5:28. For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well."
5:29. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.
A woman who has a flow of blood for twelve years means as follows:
- The lie and decay in sins up to the peak.
- The destruction in marriage and children.
- The failure.
- The impossibilities.
- Suffering and tears.
There are many efforts that have been done, but the condition grows worse. The last effort is touching God. God is still busy with our heart when He has not helped us yet.
We humble ourselves. We confess that we are unworthy and incapable. We just trust and hope God, so He remembers, cares, and touches us.
As a result, the decay is changed into fragrance. We live in righteousness and holiness. The broken marriage and children become one. Failure becomes success and beauty. Suffering becomes happiness. The impossible thing becomes possible.
John 19:30
19:30. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
God finishes all things that have not been fixed yet up to perfection.
God blesses us.
