Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 12:212:2.Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
'
being with child' means that the church conceives the spiritual or eternal thing as the quality.
Revelation 11:1911:19. Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail.
Revelation 12:112:1. Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
We have learnt that the Ark of the Covenant refers to the church.
The contents of the Ark of the Covenant are as follows:
- The golden pot that had the manna = the Word or the permanent faith. It is the same as the faith and its works.
- The rod of Aaron which budded, bloomed, and yielded fruits = the permanent hope or Holy Spirit. It is the same as the hope and its work, namely the holiness.
- The two tablets of stone = the permanent love. It is the same as the love and its works or perfection.
This is the quality of the church:
- The golden pot that had the manna = the Word or the permanent faith. It is the same as the faith and its works.
Manna means the bread or Word which comes down from heaven.
Nevertheless, many churches do not receive it.
Exodus 16:15
16:15. So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.
2 Peter 1:20-21
1:20. knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, 1:21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
The Word is not the knowledge which comes from the will of men.
It comes from heaven or the revelation from God, namely the Word which is revealed by Holy Spirit through a verse which explains other verses in the Bible. It is the same as the true teaching Word which is preached by a man who is encouraged and anointed by Holy Spirit.
In Exodus 16, manna came down every morning. It means that the true teaching Word is preached repetitively. It is the Shepherding Word.
We must eat the Word like the Israelites who gathered and ate manna
The meanings of eating the Word are as follows:
- Hearing the Shepherding Word seriously in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
- Holy Spirit helps us, so we can understand the Shepherding Word.
- Holy Spirit helps us to believe the Shepherding Word, so it becomes the true faith in our heart.
Romans 10:17
10:17. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Holy Spirit helps us to do the Shepherding Word in our daily life, so it becomes the faith and its works.
The functions of the faith and its works are as follows:
- Making the earthen vessel become the golden one, so we can endure in facing all things in the world up to the eternal life.
2 Corinthians 4:4,7-9
4:4. whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
4:7 But we have this treasure in the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
4:8 We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
4:9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed--
'the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ' = manna = the true teaching Word.
- Overcoming the world with all of its influences such as the difficulties, activities, sorrows, sufferings, amenities, and so on that want to drown us. We overcome the world.
1 John 5:4
5:4. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world--our faith.
James 4:4
4:4. Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Making friendship with the world means being influenced by it. It causes disobedience and unfaithfulness to the Shepherding Word.
We can overcome the world with all of its influences by our faith and its works, so we become the friend of God like Abraham.
James 2:20-24
2:20. But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
2:23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness." And he was called the friend of God.
2:24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.
Abraham's faith and its works are through offering Isaac because of doing the command of God.
Thus, the content of the church must be the faith and its works, and the quality must be RIGHTEOUSNESS.
The results of having the quality of righteousness are as follows:
- Abraham met Jehovah Jireh. It means that God provides from nothing to something.
Let us obey the Word and God will take the responsibility.
- The temple of Solomon was built at the place where Abraham had offered Isaac. It means that we are used in the edification of the perfect body of Christ.
2 Chronicles 3:1
3:1. Now Solomon began to build the house of the LORD at Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David, at the place that David had prepared on the threshing floor of Ornan the Jebusite.
'Mount Moriah' refers to the place where Abraham offered Isaac.
We are used by God until we are ready for being lifted up on the glorious clouds.
Revelation 19:7
19:7. "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
- The rod of Aaron which budded, bloomed, and yielded fruits = the permanent hope or Holy Spirit. It is the same as the hope and its work, namely the holiness.
1 John 3:2-3
3:2. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3 And everyone who has this hopein Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
The work of Holy Spirit is to direct us to have the hope about Jesus' second coming. It means that Holy Spirit also directs us to live in holiness, so we can be as holy as Jesus is.
How can we be holy? Holy Spirit makes us realize our sins, righteousness, and judgment through the true teaching Word.
John 16:7-8
16:7. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
16:8 "And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
2 Timothy 4:1-2
4:1. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
What happens when Holy Spirit works?
- When the sins are shown by the Word, we can confess our sins honestly to God and others, so we get the remission of sin. This is the sanctification to the past sins.
1 John 1:7-9
1:7. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We are justified by God, so we are not condemned. We are set free from the judgment of God.
Not confessing sins, but blaming at others, is the same as deceiving oneself and others for sure. Such man lives in the darkness and enters the darkest darkness in the hell.
- We live in righteousness. Holy Spirit helps us, so we do not repeat the sins. This is the sanctification to the sins at present.
1 John 3:9a
3:9a. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him;
- Not committing sin anymore. This is the sanctification to the future, so we can be as holy as Jesus is.
1 John 3:9b
3:9b. and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
Thus, the content of the church must be the hope and holiness, and the quality must be HOLINESS.
For example, Saul became Paul the Apostle. In the beginning, the content of Saul, a servant of God, was the sin until he killed the Christians. Be careful! Many servants of God conceive sins. If it continues, they will perish forever like a rod.
Praise the Lord that Saul got the light from heaven, namely the teaching Word and Holy Spirit.
Acts 9:3
9:3. As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.
Finally, Saul got the sanctification.
1 Timothy 1:12-17
1:12. And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
1:13 although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
1:14 And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
1:15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
1:16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.
1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
'in unbelief' = being outside the righteousness or the unrighteous faith.
Saul got the sanctification for his past, and then he lived in the righteousness until he could not commit sin anymore.
We will be as holy as Jesus is if Holy Spirit controls over our life. As a result, Holy Spirit gives us the fruits of Holy Spirit. It means that we have experienced the full tearing of the flesh. We win over the flesh.
Galatians 5:22-23
5:22. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
5:23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Maybe formerly we were the brittle rod. There is still Holy Spirit who can make us realize our sins until we can have the fruits of Holy Spirit. There is hope for the sweet and beautiful fruits or the beautiful and successful future life.
- The two tablets of stone = the permanent love. It is the same as the love and its works(perfection).
How can love lead us to the perfection? Love covers a multitude of sins. It means that we defeat the sins.
1 Peter 4:8
4:8. And above all things have fervent love for one another, for "love will cover a multitude of sins."
The facts found in having the love are as follows:
- Loving God more than anything. We are faithful and fervent in spirit in our service and ministry to God. We are obedient until the flesh does not rule over us anymore.
We do not commit sin anymore. We are set free from sin.
- Loving others like we love ourselves. We do not hurt others, but only do good deeds and love others who make hostility towards us, namely repaying good for evil, at least praying for them that they will get the remission of their sins.
We are set free from sins until being perfect.
Colossians 3:14
3:14. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.
Thus, the content of the church is the perfect love and the quality is the PERFECTION.
If the church has been filled by the golden pot that had the manna or righteousness, Aaron's rod which budded and yielded fruits or holiness, and the two tablets of stone or perfection, the church will get the Mercy Seat.
It means that we place Jesus as the Head.
What happened after the Mercy Seat had been put on the Ark of the Covenant? God spoke from above the Mercy Seat. It means the revelation of the Word as the proof that we become the throne of God.
Exodus 25:21-2225:21. "You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you.
25:22 "And there I will meet with you, and I will speak with you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the Testimony, about everything which I will give you in commandment to the children of Israel.
Psalm 11:411:4. The LORD is in His holy temple, The LORD'S throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.
If there is God's throne, there are God's eyes that always watch over us. It means that He pays attention to, cares, and struggles for us. He stretches out His merciful hands for us and makes war instead of us.
The results are as follows:
- The miraculous protection and preservation of God for us who are small and powerless in the midst of the difficulties in the world until the time when the Antichrist reigns over the world.
- We feel peaceful. All things become easy and light because God has felt and born all of weariness, sorrow, and tears.
Hebrews 4:14-16
4:14. Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
The help of God comes true in its time. He makes war instead of us for finishing all of our impossible problems.
- God tests us. It means that we get the sprinkling of blood like Job.
Psalm 11:4
11:4. The LORD is in His holy temple, The LORD'S throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.
Let us examine ourselves when we face the test. Finding sin, that is the temptation. Finding no sin, that is the sprinkling of blood.
Where there is the sprinkling of blood, there is shekinah glory(the glory or life renewal).
Job was great, but he had the self-truth.
Job 32:1-2
32:1. So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
32:2 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.
The self-truth means covering the sins by blaming at others and God.
The self-truth must be changed into the truth of God, namely confessing and forgiving sin one another.
Job also had the pride. It must be changed also, so we feel that we are nothing or have no pride at all. We only feel that we are like the clay. Then, the physical and spiritual restoration will happen.
We will be changed to be as righteous, holy, and perfect as He is when He comes a second time. We are worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds. We truly sit with Him on the throne of heaven forever.
God blesses you.
