Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 3:1-6 is about the church in Sardis.
Revelation 3:13:1 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
Jesus appears for the church in Sardis as follows.
- One who has the seven stars.
- One who has the seven Spirits of God.
We learn the second one.
Jesus appears as the One who has the seven Spirits of God to revive or awaken the church in Sardis that seems alive but dead.
John 6:636:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. How great a flesh human is, he is not profitable if there is no Holy Spirit. Moreover, he dies and perishes.
The facts found in the flesh human without Holy Spirit are as follows.
- Being ruled over by the desires of the flesh until there is no obedience to the Word.
Romans 8:6-7
8:6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.
Matthew 7:21-23
7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
7:22 "Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
7:23 "And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
The ministry that seems great is useless if there is no obedience or Holy Spirit. Such person is the same as ones who practice lawlessness. Consequently, he is driven out by God and perishes.
- Doing fleshly deeds, sins, and the sin peak. It means being unprofitable and unable to inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Galatians 5:19-21
5:19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- Being ruled over by the weakness of the flesh.
Romans 8:26
8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- Not being able to worship God. There is no tearing to the flesh with all its lusts and desires. It means there is no life renewal. One keeps the flesh and blood human that is stamped with 666 by the antichrist. The body, soul, and spirit are like the beasts.
James 3:7-8
3:7 For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.
3:8 But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
It can be seen in the wild tongue that contains the deadly poison. It is the same as the mouth of the antichrist.
Revelation 13:5-6
13:5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty–two months.
13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
- Being unfaithful, even leaving the service and ministry to God.
Matthew 25:26, 30
25:26 "But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed.
25:30 ‘And cast the unprofitable servantinto the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
Jesus does not want that the church in Sardis becomes unprofitable, dies spiritually, and perishes, so He appears as the One who has the seven Spirits of God, the perfect Spirit, or Holy Spirit with His seven manifestations.
Isaiah 11:1-311:1 There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots.
11:2 (1)The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, (2)The Spirit of wisdom and (3)understanding, (4)The Spirit of counsel and (5)might, (6)The Spirit of knowledge and of (7)the fear of the LORD.
11:3 His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;We must breathe with the fear of the Lord because the air is ruled over by Satan with evil and unclean spirit. Let us remember these two things whenever we take a breath.
- The mercy and goodness of God. We always give thanks. We are not hopeless when we are in failure and not proud of our success.
- Breathing with the fear of the Lord so that we are not ruled over by the evil and unclean spirit.
The facts found in the fear of the Lord are as follows.
- Honesty.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
- Serving and ministering to God faithfully, fervently in spirit, and sincerely, without the purpose to get any physical advantage.
Joshua 24:14
24:14 " Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
- Obeying the Word of God.
Ecclesiastes 12:13
12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.
One who is anointed by Holy Spirit is the same as the honest, faithful, and obedient life that stretches out the hand to God. God will also stretch out His hand to us and we get the power or miracle from Him as follows.
- We have the power of lifting up.
2 Samuel 12:11-13, 24
12:11 "Thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12:12 ‘For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’"
12:13 So David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
12:24 Then David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her and lay with her. So she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the LORD loved him,
David fell in adultery with the wife of other man and killed him. He was unclean and evil. He failed spiritually and his marriage did too. Nevertheless, he willingly received the rebuke of the Word of God so that he could honestly confess his sin and be obedient. As a result, he got the power of lifting up or restoration from God. He could live in righteousness and holiness and was used to prepare the building of the temple in the days of Solomon.
- We have the power of creation.
Luke 5:4-6
5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."
5:6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
Peter was expert in fishing, but he could fail physically. We will fail for sure if we only rely on our flesh ability, not God.
John 21:3
21:3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
Peter also failed spiritually because he was disobedient. From the fisher of man, he returned to the fisherman.
John 21:5
21:5 Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."
Nevertheless, Peter honestly confessed his condition and failure that had been shown by the true teaching Word sharper than any two-edged sword.
John 21:6, 11
21:6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
21:11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty–three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.
As a result, he got the power of creation, from nothing to something. 1+5+3 = 9 or the figure of the grace. The Lord is able to preserve us with the great grace or mercy that never ends. He helps us from the failure to success. All problems are solved by God, even the impossible ones.
- We experience the power of life renewal.
Job 1:1-3
1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.
1:2 And seven sons and three daughters were born to him.
1:3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatestof all the people of the East.
Job was great physically, but suddenly he failed because of his self-truth.
Job 32:1-2
32:1 So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
32:2 Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.
The self-truth means the truth that is not in line with the Word or covering the sin by blaming others, even God. It will cause the division in the marriage, shepherding, and the body of Christ.
God let Job experience the total test and failure to make him gentle.
Job 42:5-6
42:5 "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.
42:6 Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."
Job sat on dust and ashes to honestly confess that he was only clay or dust that is powerless and not precious. He could honestly confess his sins and surrender fully in the hand of God, the Potter. As a result, there is power of life renewal until we can be the spiritual man that is as perfect as Jesus is.
God blesses you.
