Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Man consists of two big parts, namely the physical part and the spiritual one.
The main care is about the food.
If the physical body does not eat, it will be weak, sick, and dead. Likewise, not eating spiritually causes the weakness that one gets bored in serving to God and becomes lazy in praying. Then, he will spiritually be sick by sinning up to the spiritual death.

The place for caring us physically is in the household, restaurant, or hospital.
The place for caring us spiritually is in the service and ministry to God. Therefore, we must prioritize the Word in the service and ministry to God.

Luke 5:1
5:1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

The main purpose of our service to God must be hearing the Word or pressing about Jesus. Where there is the revelation of the Word, there is God's presence to care for our spiritual life.

Exodus 32:1,4
32:1 Now when the people saw that Moses delayed coming down from the mountain, the people gathered together to Aaron, and said to him, "Come, make us gods that shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man who brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him."
32:4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, "This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!"

The service to God whose purpose is not to hear or eat the Word is gathering together to Aaron, not God. Aaron refers to man, money, position, and so on.

Hebrews 5:11-14
5:11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need
milkand not solid food.
5:13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
5:14 But
solid foodbelongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

There are two kinds of spiritual food or the preaching of the Word as follows.

  1. The milk, the Gospel of Salvation, or the Good News for the new Christians or newborn babies.
    Ephesians 1:13
1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

    Proverbs 25:25
25:25 As cold water to a weary soul, So is good newsfrom a far country.

The gospel Word preaches Jesus' first coming to save the sinners.

    Acts 2:36-40
2:36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredlythat God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
2:37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
2:38 Then Peter said to them, "
Repent, and let every one of you be baptizedin the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
2:39 "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."
2:40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation."

    The process is as follows.

    • Knowing assuredly. It means having faith in Jesus as the only Savior.
    • Repenting or being dead to sin to return to God.
Especially, we must repent from lie and hatred.

    • Being baptized of water.
      Matthew 3:16
3:16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

      Acts 8:35-38
8:35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.
8:36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?"
8:37 Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God."
8:38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him.

The Ethiopian refers to the Gentiles, who are hard-hearted.

      Jeremiah 13:23
13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil.

The condition of the Gentiles is like the skin of the Ethiopian which is dark, referring to the sins, and like the leopard, referring to the antichrist or the fleshly men who do not change.

Through the water baptism, we can experience the renewal of life, so we can be saved and blessed by God.

  2. The solid food, the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, the teaching Word, or the Bride Tidings.
    2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest
the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

    Matthew 25:6
25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'

It preaches Jesus' second coming as the Heavenly Bridegroom.

Hearing and obeying the teaching Word is the same as stretching out the hands to God. The results are as follows.

    • The Word of God is living.
      Hebrews 4:12
4:12 Forthe word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It means that the Word guarantees our life from now on in the midst of the difficulties in the world up to the eternal one.

      Luke 5:1-6
5:1 So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,
5:2 and saw two boats standing by the lake; but the fishermen had gone from them and were washing their nets.
5:3 Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat.
5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."
5:6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.

Peter and his friends relied on the intelligence, experience, and the proper time and place, but they failed; even he got naked.

      John 21:7
21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.

The true teaching Word is able to give us the guarantee of abundant life until we can give thanks to God always.

      John 8:51
8:51 "Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death."

The true teaching Word gives the guarantee of eternal life.

    • The Word of God is powerful. It gives extra power from heaven.
      2 Corinthians 4:7-9
4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.
      4:8 We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
4:9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed--

How great a man in the world is, he is only the clay. He is brittle or easily gets hopeless and proud. Therefore, we must be filled with the heavenly treasure, namely the true teaching Word, so we can be strong and of good courage. We will not easily get disappointed and hopeless in facing all things in the world. God will give us victory.

      John 16:33
16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

The peaceful heart is the same as the quietness and calmness. All things will be easy and light.

    • The Word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword. It sanctifies and renews our life from the fleshly man to the spiritual one.
      Matthew 5:27-28
5:27 "You have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not commit adultery.'
5:28 "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

The beginning of the sanctification is in our heart and mindwhich are the center of our life.

      Matthew 5:29
5:29 "If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

The eyesare sanctified from the fleshly sight, so we can sacrifice the physical things to look for the spiritual ones. Esau sacrificed the spiritual thing for the physical one. Consequently, he lost everything.

      The sanctification to the deeds.
      Matthew 5:30
5:30 "And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

The sanctification to the marriage and the characteristics of the fleshmakes us able to confess and forgive sin one another.
      Matthew 5:31-32
5:31 "Furthermore it has been said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.'
5:32 "But I say to you that whoever divorces his wife for any reason except sexual immorality causes her to commit adultery; and whoever marries a woman who is divorced commits adultery.

The sanctification to the mouthbegins with honesty.
      Matthew 5:33-37
5:33 "Again you have heard that it was said to those of old, 'You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to the Lord.'
      5:34 "But I say to you, do not swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is God's throne;
5:35 "nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
5:36 "Nor shall you swear by your head, because you cannot make one hair white or black.
5:37 "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one.

Titus 2:7
2:7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,

It begins from the honesty about the teachings.

Proverbs 15:8
15:8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

As a result, we become the house of prayer.

The mouth is also sanctified to produce the words of faith.
For example, a woman with the flow of blood for twelve years could say the words of faith "If only I may touch His garment, I will be made well" and she was healed. The flow of blood refers to the rottenness in sin.
The woman of Canaan faced the demon-possessed marriage or the problems in marriage and children, destruction, and gloomy future life. Nevertheless, through her saying "Yes, Lord", she could be helped.

The honesty and the words of faith will result in miracle.

God blesses you.
