The whole Matthew 26 points to golden pot that had the manna. It is life renewal from carnal man (clay pot) to spiritual man as Jesus is (golden pot that had the manna).

Matthew 26:1-5 is about the Passover news.
Matthew 26:6-13 is about the preparation of the Passover or the preparation of slaying Passover Lamb.

Matthew 26:6-13
26:6. And when Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper,
26:7 a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.
26:8 But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, "Why this waste?
26:9 "For this fragrant oil might have been sold for much and given to the poor."
26:10 But when Jesus was aware of it, He said to them, "Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work for Me.
26:11 "For you have the poor with you always, but Me you do not have always.
26:12 "For in pouring this fragrant oil on My body, she did it for My burial.
26:13 "Assuredly, I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be told as a memorial to her."

Exodus 12:3,6
12:3 "Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: 'On the tenth dayof this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.
12:6 'Now you shall keep it until
the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.

Passover lamb was taken and kept on the tenth day.
The Passover lamb was slain on the fourteenth day.
In shorts, the Passover lamb was kept for four days as the preparation.

2 Peter 3:8
3:8. But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

4 days = 4000 years.
Thus, the sacrifice of Christ has been a shadow, as preparation in animal offering, for 4000 years.

The shadow of Christ's sacrifice for 4000 years is as follows:
  1. The age of Father God (from Adam to Abraham).
    • In Garden Eden.
      Genesis 3:21
3:21. Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.

The animal offering was not obvious and only for two people in marriage.
Do not be naked in marriage because of sinning! Being naked means being ashamed. The marriage must be reconciled by Christ's sacrifice through confessing sins and forgiving one another.

    • On Mount Moriah.
      Genesis 22:13
22:13 Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son.

The animal offering was more obvious, namely a ram.
  1. The age of Son of God (from Abraham to Jesus' first coming).
    • In Egypt.
      Exodus 12:21-23

12:21. Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, "Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb.
12:22 "And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning.
12:23 "For the LORD will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the LORD will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.

The animal offering is the Passover lamb to save the first sons of Israelites.
    • In the age of Law.
      Leviticus 16:3,16
16:3 "Thus Aaron shall come into the Holy Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering.
16:16 "So he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, for all their sins; and so he shall do for the tabernacle of meeting which remains among them in the midst of their uncleanness.

The animal offering is a young bull, a ram, and doves for a nation, namely Israelites.
John 1:29
1:29. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

In the last days (New Testament), all the shadows of the offerings above are fulfilled in Christ's sacrifice as Passover lamb. This offering takes away the sin of the world, as long as the people believe in Jesus.

The evolution of human for 4000 years is as follows:
  1. The age of Father God (from Adam to Abraham).
    Genesis 2:16-17
    2:16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
2:17 "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."

In Garden Eden, God gave order and prohibition, not law yet, to men.

    Genesis 3:6
3:6. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
The men died spiritually because of transgressing the prohibition of God.
Likewise, do not transgress the prohibition of God, or else there will be a spiritual death.

  2. The age of the Son of God (from Abraham to Jesus' first coming).
God gave the Law.Unfortunately, the men, who have been in the spiritual death, still transgressed the Law. The condition is as continuing in death and being spiritually rotten.
Thus, the men have been dead and rotten in sins for 4000 years.
Continuing in such condition, they will produce worms, referring to perdition.

Isaiah 66:24
66:24 "And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh."

Being rotten and producing worms, the animal offerings cannot help anymore. After 4000 years, Jesus came and died on the cross to do these things:
  1. To redeem the sins of men who have been died and rotten so they will neither produce worms nor perish, or to heal the destroyed mortar pot.
  2. To pour our Holy Spirit to fill the mortar potso the destroyed pot can be changed to become golden pot that had the manna.
    John 16:7
16:7. "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
Matthew 26:7
26:7 a woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table.

The mortar pot must be filled or anointed with Holy Spirit to the fullness as a woman anointing Jesus with oil.
Jesus is able to heal the mortar pot no matter how great it has been destroyed.

Luke 7:36-38
7:36. Then one of the Pharisees asked Him to eat with him. And He went to the Pharisee's house, and sat down to eat.
7:37 And behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at the table in the Pharisee's house, brought an alabaster flask of fragrant oil,
7:38 and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.

The sinful woman was permitted to anoint Jesus, meaning God still gives us chance to be anointed by Holy Spirit tonight no matter how great our destruction or rottenness is.As a result, we can become precious before Him, even someday we can become the golden pot that had manna.

The process of being anointed by Holy Spirit is as follows:
  1. Humbling ourselves in hearing the Word of God.
Meaning we hear the teaching Word solemnlyand give the widest chance to the hard teaching Word to show our sins and rottenness. As a result, we feel so unworthy, not brave to insist anything or to judge other people.

  2. Washing Jesus' feet with tears.
Meaning we realize and regret our sins.

  3. Kissing Jesus' feet.
Meaning reconciliation, confessing and forgiving one another. We confess our sins to God and other people honestly so Jesus' precious blood covers our sins which are vile. Afterward, do not commit the sins again, so we become precious before God.

  4. Wiping Jesus' feet with the hair of head.
Meaning we throw away all our prides, even we feel so powerless, and rely only on the mercy of God.
We can feel so powerless and unworthy at THE LOWEST PLACE. It is THE MAIN PLACE Jesus choses to pour out Holy Spirit.

The function of Holy Spirit is as follows:
  1. Holy Spirit gives life.
    John 6:63
6:63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
    • Spiritual life for people who have been dead and rotten.
      Romans 8:13
8:13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Holy Spirit will kill the worms of sin, so we can live in righteousness and holiness.
Being in the church continually may not become the sign of living spirituality. Judas always followed Jesus but his spirituality is dead.
The sign of living spirituality is righteous life and holy life, as well as faithfulness in committing service and ministry.

    • Physical life, even our descendants are blessed and become blessings for other people.
      Romans 8:11
8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

  2. Holy Spirit gives us the gifts.
    Ephesians 4:7
4:7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.

The gifts of Holy Spirit are miraculous abilities from Holy Spirit to make us able to minister God. The gifts determine the priest's offices.
Having the gifts of Holy Spirit and priest's offices, we will be employed in the ministry of building Christ's body.

    Ephesians 4:11-13
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
    4:13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Being employed in the ministry of building Christ's body, God will never fool us because we are placing Jesus as our Head. Being faithful and solemn in our ministry, Jesus as the Head is beautifying our lifeand providing beautiful future life for us, all things become beautiful in time of need.
  3. Jesus gives the fruits of Holy Spirit.
    Galatians 5:22-23
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love (1), joy (2), peace (3), longsuffering (4), kindness (5), goodness (6), faithfulness (7),
5:23 gentleness (8), self-control (9). Against such there is no law.

Meaning He is renewing our life from mortar pot to golden pot so we return to the image and example of God the Trinity, or we become as glorious as Jesus is as follows:
    • Love, joy, and peace as the image of Father God.
    • Longsuffering, kindness, and goodness as the image of the Son of God.
    • Faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control as the image of Holy Spirit God.

    Genesis 1:26

1:26. Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

Holy Spirit is able to perform the physical miracles, not only the spiritual ones. The impossible matters can be made possible. Even we can be lifted up together with Jesus on glorious clouds at the time of His second coming, and we become golden pot that had the manna, or God's Bride.
God blesses you.
