From Delayed Broadcast of Fellowship in MangkutanaPeace and grace in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 4:19b4:19 ... "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."The fishers of men are the servants of God or priests and kings. The duty is to cast the net of Gospel Word to catch human for God, so he can be saved and perfected.
Habakkuk 1:14-151:14 Why do You make men like fish of the sea, Like creeping things that have no ruler over them?
1:15 They take up all of them with a hook, They catch them in their net, And gather them in their dragnet. Therefore they rejoice and are glad. How great a human in the world is, he is only as a fish swimming to and fro in the sea without end. It means as follows.
- Being busy to sin.
- Being busy to look for physical or worldly things, so there is no opportunity to look for God.
The consequence is as follows.
- There is no peace, quietness, or rest, but weariness, heavy burden, and many tears.
- Being stamped with 666 by the antichrist.
Revelation 13:1, 6, 16-18
13:1 And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
13:6 Then he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name, His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
13:16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads,
13:17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.
The first six refers to the fleshly body, the second refers to the fleshly soul, and the third refers to the fleshly spirit. Thus, a man who is stamped with 666 is flesh and blood human following his lusts only and heading for the woman of Babylon or the bride of Satan. In such condition, he is perfect in evil and uncleanness.
Revelation 17:3-5
17:3 So he carried me away in the Spirit into the wilderness. And I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast which was full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.
17:4 The woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup full of abominations and the filthiness of her fornication.
17:5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
Consequently, he is destroyed together with Babylon.
Revelation 18:2, 9-10
18:2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!
18:9 "The kings of the earth who committed fornication and lived luxuriously with her will weep and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning,
18:10 "standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’
Jesus wants to help the human who is as the fish of the sea, so that he does not perish, through the casting of the net of Gospel Word.
There are two times of the casting of the net of the Gospel Word as follows.
- The casting of the net of the Gospel of Salvation or Good Tidings[Ephesians 1:13, Proverbs 25:25].
Luke 5:4-7
5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."
5:6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
5:7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
The net of the Gospel of Salvation calls many people and prioritizes the quantity as well as physical signs and blessings.
We must be alert. Do not be drowned in blessings after we are blessed, but we must remember other people as follows.
- God, the one who gives us the blessings. We remember Him through returning the tithes and offerings.
- Other people. We remember them through giving and visiting.
Luke 5:8
5:8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, "Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!"
Do not be arrogant after being blessed, but we must remember ourselves who have many weaknesses. We must fall down at Jesus’ knees to confess our sins much more.
The process of having the salvation is to believe or have faith in Jesus through hearing the Word of Christ. Then, we must repent or stop sinning to return to God, be baptized of water and Holy Spirit to get the renewal of water and spirit, so we have new life in righteousness. Righteousness means salvation.
Isaiah 32:17
32:17 The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
As a result, we feel quietness and peace in our life. There is no anxiety anymore. We do not become as the fish of the sea anymore, but we are quiet inside the net of salvation. Afterward, we can be used to become the fishers of men.
Luke 5:10
5:10and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men."
We have been saved, blessed, and used by God, and then we must increase our spirituality. Do not remain in the net of salvation because it can be broken and we can return to the sea of the world or our old life.
Luke 5:6
5:6 And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
For example, Peter who has become the fisher of men returns to the fisherman in the sea of the world.
John 21:3, 7
21:3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
21:7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea.
Consequently, there is total failure and one returns to the condition before he knew Jesus. Moreover, he is naked and worse than the first condition because of living in sins again up to the peak and being ashamed. Therefore, we must increase to the second net.
- The casting of the net of the gospel of the glory of Christ or teaching Word or Bride Tidings[2 Corinthians 4:3-4].
John 21:6, 10-11
21:6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
21:10 Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have just caught."
21:11 Simon Peter went up and dragged the net to land, full of large fish, one hundred and fifty–three; and although there were so many, the net was not broken.
The right side refers to the position of Jesus in His glory as the High Priest at the right side of Father God.
Matthew 25:6
25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’
Catching one hundred and fifty three fish means the casting of the net of Bride Tidings brings us to enter the count of God. It means we are shepherded by God.
Ezekiel 20:37
20:37 "I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
If one does not want to be shepherded, there will be no quietness or rest in his life, even he will head for the woman of Babylon who will be destroyed.
Proverbs 7:10-12
7:10 And there a woman met him, With the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.
7:11 She was loud and rebellious, Her feet would not stay at home.
7:12 At times she was outside, at times in the open square, Lurking at every corner.
All people must be shepherded as a branch that dwells in the True Vine. It means we must be shepherded to the true teaching Word.
We are shepherded in the sheepfold. Physically, it refers to church organization. Spiritually, it refers to the Holy Place of Tabernacle in which there are three kinds of equipment that denote the perseverance in doing three main services as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or the perseverance in doing General Service as the drink for the sheep.
- Table of Showbread or the perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion as if the sheep is eating.
- Golden Altar of Incense or the perseverance in doing Prayer Service as the breath for the sheep.
As a result, the sheep will grow to spiritual maturity. If the spirituality grows, the physical life will also grow for sure.
We are sanctified and renewed intensively and continually in the sheepfold. It relates to the figure one hundred and fifty three.
153 = 100 + 50 + 3.
The figure one hundred refers to the length of Tabernacle.
100 = 10 x 10.
The first ten means to hear the Word of Godand the second one means to be obedient.
The figure fifty means Pentecost or Holy Spirit who makes us faithful and fervent in spirit.
The figure three means the renewal to our body, soul, and spirit.
Ephesians 4:22-25
4:22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts,
4:23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
4:24 and that you put on the new manwhich was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
4:25 Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
The shepherded people God counts are the obedient, faithful, fervent in spirit, and honest.
Being counted means God knows and cares us.
The result is as follows.
- God counts or knows our sorrows.
Exodus 3:7-8
3:7 And the LORD said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
3:8 "So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
- He counts or sees every step or heartbeat in our life, so that we are not ruled over by death.
Job 31:4
31:4 Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps?
Romans 10:15
10:15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feetof those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
We can bear witness to other people about the Good Tidings and Bride Tidings, so our present and future life will become beautiful.
- The very hairs of our head are all numbered.
Matthew 10:30
10:30 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
God protects and preserves us in the days which are full of difficult things although we are powerless as a hair. Moreover, we can be perfect in the one body of Christ to become the Bride of God who is ready to welcome Jesus’ second coming.
God blesses you.
