Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 9:13-21 is about the sixth trumpet or the sixth judgment of the Son of God to men in the world. A third of men will die because of a great war.
Revelation 9:149:14. saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."
There are four angels of war who are bound at the great river Euphrates.
The great river Euphrates is in Paradise.
Genesis 2:10-142:10.Now a river went out of Edento water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads.
2:11 The name of the first is Pishon; it is the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.
2:12 And the gold of that land is good. Bdellium and the onyx stone are there.
2:13 The name of the second river is Gihon; it is the one which goes around the whole land of Cush.
2:14 The name of the third river is Hiddekel; it is the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates.
The four angels of war rule over four rivers in garden Eden or Paradise.
The four rivers refer to the river of living water, the four gospels, or the full one.
Paul the apostle divided the full Gospel in two parts as follows.
- The Gospel of Salvation, the Gospel Word, the Good News, or the milk.
Ephesians 1:13
1:13. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
It refers to the Gospel that preaches Jesus' first coming to the world as the only sinless Man who must die on the cross to save the sinful men so that they do not perish.
The Gospel of Salvation is the beginning of redemption and renewal for the sinful men.
- The light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, the Teaching Word, the Bride Tidings, or the solid food.
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3. But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
It refers to the gospel that preaches Jesus' second coming in the glory as the King of all kings and the Heavenly Bridegroom on the glorious clouds to sanctify and renew us until we are as perfect as Jesus is and become the perfect body of Christ.
The four angels of war rule over the four rivers. It means that the four angels of war hinder the process of redemption and renewal, so the sinful men cannot return to Paradise. They also hinder the edification of the perfect body of Christ, so the Church of God can neither be perfect nor return to paradise, but dies or perishes in the great war or gets the sixth judgment of the trumpet.
Luke 13:31-35
13:31. On that very day some Pharisees came, saying to Him, "Get out and depart from here, for Herod wants to kill You."
13:32 And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.'
13:33 "Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.
13:34 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, but you were not willing!
13:35 "See! Your house is left to you desolate; and assuredly, I say to you, you shall not see Me until the time comes when you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'"Jesus faced Herod and Jerusalem.
Herod refers to Satan, the Antichrist, and false prophet. They are the three angels of war. The fourth one is Jerusalem.
Isaiah 2:3
2:3. Many people shall come and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Jerusalem refers to the servant of God who has received the true teaching Word, but the heart is not right. He may have the right heart, but the teaching is not right, so he resists against the edification of the perfect body of Christ.
Luke 13:32-3313:32. And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the thirdday I shall be perfected.'
13:33 "Nevertheless I must journey today, tomorrow, and the day following; for it cannot be that a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem.
As the solution, Jesus must fulfill His work in three days as follows.
- The work on the first day or the beginning one. It refers to the redemption and renewal to the sinful men.
Jesus cried out "It is finished" on the cross.
- The work on the second day or the last redemption and renewal up to the perfection.
It refers to the second "It is finished."
- The work on the third day or the judgment.
It refers to the third "It is finished."
ad. 1.
The work on the first day.
John 19:30
19:30. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Jesus is the only sinless man, but He must die on the cross to finish redeeming the sinful men and renewing them.
John 19:31-34
19:31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
19:32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him.
19:33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs.
19:34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.
Actually, Jesus has died with four wounds, namely two in the hands and two in the feet, as the love of God for redeeming Israelites or the chosen people of God who have transgressed the Law.
The fifth wound in Jesus' side is the deepest and biggest one, out of which blood and water come, as the great mercy of God to redeem and renew the Gentiles.
The beginning of the redemption and renewal for the Gentiles is receiving the sign of blood and water.
The sign of bloodin the Tabernacle refers to the Altar of Burnt Offerings or the cross of Christ. It means that the Gentiles must believe Jesus as the only Savior and repent. We die to sin. By the encouragement of the sword of the Word, we can confess to God and others. After being forgiven, do not repeat the sin! As a result, the blood of Jesus washes away all of our sins.
The sign of waterrefers to the water baptism. One who has believed Jesus and repented must be buried in water together with Him and come out of water with Him to get the new life or the heavenly one.
John 1:28
1:28. These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
John the Baptist baptized beyond the Jordan.
There are three kinds of renewal which are related to the place as follows.
- The renewal of heart.
John 1:28-32
1:28. These things were done in Bethabara beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
1:30 "This is He of whom I said, 'After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.'
1:31 "I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water."
1:32 And John bore witness, saying, "I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
Matthew 3:16
3:16. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
The heart that tends to do evil and uncleanness is changed into the good conscience which is honest and as sincere as the dove.
Titus 2:7
2:7. in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,
As a result, we can do good deeds and become example in doing good deeds. God is able to make all things good in His time.
Hebrews 13:4-6
13:4. Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
13:6 So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
We can be honest in the matters of the teaching Word, marriage, and finance.
There is God's possession or the tithes and offerings and the one of other in every blessing we have received.
The honest and good conscience is a strong foundation to be the house of prayer.
Proverbs 15:8
15:8. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.
Jesus places Himself as the Head over our life until He must die on the Hill of Skull to pay attention to, take care of, and struggle to preserve, help, and plead for our life. We must not be afraid of anything in the world. We must fear the Lord.
- The renewal of the fleshly man.
Judges 12:1-2,5-6
12:1. Then the men of Ephraim gathered together, crossed over toward Zaphon, and said to Jephthah, "Why did you cross over to fight against the people of Ammon, and did not call us to go with you? We will burn your house down on you with fire!"
12:2 And Jephthah said to them, "My people and I were in a great struggle with the people of Ammon; and when I called you, you did not deliver me out of their hands.
12:5 The Gileadites seized the fords of the Jordan before the Ephraimites arrived. And when any Ephraimite who escaped said, "Let me cross over," the men of Gilead would say to him, "Are you an Ephraimite?" If he said, "No,"
12:6 then they would say to him, "Then say, 'Shibboleth'!" And he would say, "Sibboleth," for he could not pronounce it right. Then they would take him and kill him at the fords of the Jordan. There fell at that time forty-two thousand Ephraimites.
Sibboleth means a grain of wheat.
Shibboleth means a grain of wheat which has grown and yielded fruits through the crucifixion of the flesh with all of its lusts, desires, and characteristics.
Thus, the renewal of the fleshly man to the new one like Jesus is through the slaughtering of the flesh with all of its lusts, desires, and characteristics.
The characteristics of the Ephraimites are the craftiness, hypocrisy, pretense, and egoism. Such characteristics must be changed into confessing and forgiving one another.
1 Peter 2:2
2:2. as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
We get the renewal, so we become as a newborn baby who only desires the pure spiritual milk or the true teaching Word. God as the spiritual mother will always pay attention to, take care of, and struggle for us to make us full, quiet, and peaceful. We can grow toward the perfection.
- The renewal from Egypt or the world to Canaan or the heavenly kingdom.
Joshua 3:14-17
3:14. So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people,
3:15 and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest),
3:16 that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho.
3:17 Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.
Deuteronomy 11:10-12
11:10. "For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden;
11:11 "but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven,
11:12 "a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
The worldly system or the one of Egypt is in labor and relying on the intelligence, riches, position, and experience until ignoring God and leaving the service and ministry to Him.
The heavenly system or the one of Canaan is in the valleys and mountains or the cross, namely the death and resurrection with Jesus. Where there is the cross, there must be no sin. We must live in righteousness.
Hebrews 9:14
9:14. how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
In the system of the cross, we must prioritize the service and ministry to God more than all things in the world. Outside the service and ministry to God, all things we do in the world are in vain and will perish.
ad. 2.
The work on the second day.
Revelation 21:5-621:5. Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
21:6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
The last renewal is in the New Jerusalem.
Jesus had been dead on the cross, so the bones could not be broken.
The last renewal is through the bones which are not broken. It means being complete or perfect.
John 19:36
19:36. For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, "Not one of His bones shall be broken."
2 Kings 13:2113:21. So it was, as they were burying a man, that suddenly they spied a band of raiders; and they put the man in the tomb of Elisha; and when the man was let down and touched the bones of Elisha, he revived and stood on his feet.
The bones were not broken. It refers to the power of resurrection in the Word, Holy Spirit, and love that we can receive in the shepherding pen through the perseverance in doing the three main services to God as follows.
- The Bible Study Service refers to the power of resurrection in the Word.
- The General Service refers to the power of resurrection in Holy Spirit.
- The Prayer Service refers to the power of resurrection in the love.
Revelation 21:821:8. "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
The renewal of the New Jerusalem is until there is no more lie, so there is no more tear.
ad. 3.
The work on the third day.
Revelation 16:17-1816:17. Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"
16:18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.
Rejecting the work of the renewal from God, one will enter His judgment.
Zechariah 12:10-1112:10. "And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
12:11 "In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning at Hadad Rimmon in the plain of Megiddo.
Let us struggle for experiencing the renewal.
God blesses you.
