Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We still discuss about the benefit of the Ascension.
Acts 1:8-11
1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
1:9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
1:10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
1:11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."
Jesus ascended to heaven with the following two promises:
- The pouring of Holy Spirit.
- He will come a second time soon to lift us up to heaven, so where He is, there we are. We are not separated from Him anymore forever.
Thus, we absolutely need the power of Holy Spirit to welcome Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds.
Related to Jesus' second coming, Holy Spirit is useful to give us power to testify.
Thus, we must testify to welcome Jesus' second coming.
John 15:25-27
15:25 "But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated Me without a cause.'
15:26 "But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.
15:27 "And you also will bear witness, because you have been with Me from the beginning.
John 16:1-216:1 "These things I have spoken to you, that you should not be made to stumble.
16:2 "They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service.
The condition we face on the last days are as follows:
- Difficulties, sorrows, business, and amenities of the world.
- Hatred without a cause.
- Being isolated, treated in unjust manners, and killed.
Our duty is testifying. Therefore, we need Holy Spirrit to give us extra power, so we are neither disappointed nor hopeless and we do not reject Jesus reagrdless of anything we must face. We must keep on testifying.
What must we testifyabout?
- Jesus Himself.
Acts 1:8,11
1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
1:11 who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."
Such testimony has two kinds as follows:
- From Jerusalem, namely the testimony about Jesus as the Saviour, the Gospel of Salvation, the Gospel Word, or the Good News.
Luke 24:46-49
24:46 Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,
24:47 "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
24:48 "And you are witnesses of these things.
24:49 "Behold, I send the Promise of My Father upon you; but tarry in the city of Jerusalem until you are endued with power from on high."
It preaches Jesus' first coming to the world as the only sinless man to save the sinful people. It is said as the revival of Holy Spirit at the first rain.
In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Court.
The process is through believing Jesus, repenting, and being baptized of water and Holy Spirit. We get the new life, namely in righteosuness. It is the same as being saved.
As a result, there is the increase of the quantity of the members of the body of Christ from twelve disciples, seventy, one hundred and twenty, three thousand people to whom Peter spoke, five thousand people in Antioch, and innumerable number of people until now.
The direction is from Jerusalem, to Judea, Samaria, western countries, and the end of the earth or Papua.
- Jesus who will come a second time in the glory as the King of all kingsor the Heavenly Bridegroom. It refers to the testimony about the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, the Word which is sharper than any two -edged sword, or the Bride Tidings.
Matthew 24:27
24:27 "For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
It preaches Jesus' second coming in the glory as the Heavenly Bridegroom to sanctify the saved and blessed people to be as perfect as Jesus is. It is said as the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain.
As a result, there is the increase of the quality of the church to be as perfect as Jesus is or the heavenly bride.
The direction is from the east to the west, going back to Samaria, Judea, and Jerusalem. If Israel has received the Bride Tidings, Israel and Gentiles will be one perfect body of Christ to welcome Jesus' second coming and enter the everlasting New Jerusalem forever.
Mark 5:18-20
5:18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him.
5:19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, "Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you."
5:20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
The life of man in the world is described as a demon-possessed man in Gadarenes who only committed sins up to the peak, so there was no peace. Men only live in curses, heavy burdens, tears, and perdition forever.
They need the Good News and Bride Tidings, so the demon-possessed ones can be healed to get back the right mind. It means believing Jesus, repenting, being baptized of water and Holy Spirit, living in righteousness, being the witness in the household, shepherding, inter-shepherding, and the light of the world or reaching the perfection like Jesus.
Matthew 5:14
5:14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
- The true and good shepherding.
The true and good shepherding is like a branch that dwells in the True Vine or Jesus Himself.
Mark 5:13-17
5:13 And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
5:14 So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened.
5:15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.
5:16 And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine.
5:17 Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region.
Mark 5:2-5
5:2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit,
5:3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,
5:4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.
5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
The demon-possessed man dwelt among the tombs day and night. The spiritual meanings of the tomb are as follows.
- The places of the lengthening of the hand of the death or Satan. Such places bring spiritual death or perdition in the hell forever such as cinema, discotheque, et cetera.
- The service and ministry to God or the fellowship which is without the true teaching Word and holiness, but only prioritizes physical things. There are only the fable, joke, and false teachings, so the people commit sins up to the peak, enjoy in sins, and die spiritually until they perish forever.
Mark 5:15
5:15Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.
Sitting and being clothed means being firm in the true and good shepherding. As a result, there is the guarantee of assurance from God for the present and future life up to the everlasting one.
The five thousand men sat on the grass. It means that the attitude of a man will determine the direction of the marriage. If he has sat, sooner or later the woman and children will firmly sit in the shepherding. Jesus as the Great Shepherd will also break the bread for sure. He will preserve our physical and spiritual life abundantly. We feel satisfied physically and spiritually, so we do not seek for the other satisfactions in the world anymore.
What is testified in the shepherding?
Exodus 3:1-3
3:1 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian. And he led the flock to the back of the desert, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God.
3:2 And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.
3:3 Then Moses said, "I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn."
- The perseverance in doing the three main services to God.
The Golden Candlestick refers to the perseverance in doing the General Service to have the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts as if we are drinking spiritually to be fresh.
The Table of Showbread refers to the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion to get the fellowship with the Son of God in the true teaching Word and the sacrifice of Christ as if we are eating spiritually.
The Golden Altar of Incense refers to the perseverance in doing the Prayer Service to get the fellowship with Father God in His love as if we are breathing with His love until we reach the eternal life.
Leviticus 21:12
21:12 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
By the perseverance in doing the three kinds of main service to God, our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God, so the trinity of Satan cannot touch us. In the shepherding, we get the continual and intensive sanctification, so we get the anointing of Holy Spirit. As a result, our service and ministry to God will have the spiritual value and the atmosphere of the heavenly kingdom.
Psalm 133:1-3
133:1 <<A Song of Ascents. Of David.>>Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
133:2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.
133:3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the LORD commanded the blessing--Life forevermore.
Romans 15:5-6
15:5 Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus,
15:6 that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Being filled by the true teaching Word, we can dwell together in unity and have the one voice of worship. As a result, all things will be beautiful and God will command the blessings to come to us.
- Testifying about the sanctification which is done by the fire of the Word, Holy Spirit, and the love of God or the perseverance in doing the three main services to God.
Revelation 12:1
12:1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
As a result, we become the woman with the light of the sun, moon, and stars or the heavenly bride.
Revelation 12:2-3
12:2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
12:3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
How great the church is, the condition is only like a pregnant woman who will deliver the baby (powerlessness) while facing a dragon.
Revelation 12:14
12:14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
Only the two wings of a great eagle or the Word and Holy Spirit are able to help us.
- The sprinkling of blood.
It refers to the Most Holy Place of Tabernacle.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
The forms of the sprinkling of blood are different, but the results are same, namely the Spirit of glory or Shekinah Glory.
The Spirit of glory changes us from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus is. We can be happy in the midst of sufferings or strong and of good courage. We are not disappointed and hopeless. We do not leave God regardless of anything we must face. We can keep faithful and fervent in spirit in serving and ministering to God.
The examples as well as the results are as follows.
- A husband who faced the destruction of the marriage and children.
John 4:46-53
4:46 So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum.
4:47 When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death.
4:48 Then Jesus said to him, "Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe."
4:49 The nobleman said to Him, "Sir, come down before my child dies!"
4:50 Jesus said to him, "Go your way; your son lives." So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.
4:51 And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, "Your son lives!"
4:52 Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, "Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him."
4:53 So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, "Your son lives." And he himself believed, and his whole household.
If we willingly worship God and become strong and of good courage, He will be able to help us. Impossible things can be made possible. The decreased condition will be helped.
- A woman who had the flowing of blood for twelve years or faced disease and impossible problem.
Confessing "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well", she only hoped God and He was able to help her.
- Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego faced the false teachings, the fire of temptation, and the failure in the future life.
They were strong and of good courage. They only cried out to God. As a result, He was able to help them. The failure was changed into success.
When Jesus comes a second time, Holy Spirit will change us until we are as perfect as He is. We do not stumble anymore in words, but only cry out "Alleluia" to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds together with our family.
God blesses you.
