Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 6:5-66:5 When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come and see." So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand.
6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, "A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine."The opening of the third seal is the same as the third judgment of Holy Spirit God to the world, namely the revival of the black horse, so the famine happens physically and spiritually, especially of the Word of God.
The famine has happened in the world from age to age up to the last days when Jesus will come a second time on the glorious clouds.
- The age of Father God, which is counted from Adam to Abraham for about two thousand years, is represented by Abraham.
Genesis 12:10-16
12:10 Now there was a faminein the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe in the land.
12:11 And it came to pass, when he was close to entering Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, "Indeed I know that you are a woman of beautiful countenance.
12:12 "Therefore it will happen, when the Egyptians see you, that they will say, 'This is his wife'; and they will kill me, but they will let you live.
12:13 "Please say you are my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, and that I may live because of you."
12:14 So it was, when Abram came into Egypt, that the Egyptians saw the woman, that she was very beautiful.
12:15 The princes of Pharaoh also saw her and commended her to Pharaoh. And the woman was taken to Pharaoh's house.
12:16 He treated Abram well for her sake. He had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants, female donkeys, and camels.
Abram willingly sacrificed his wife, Sarai, because of famine. It means that the famine disturbs the relationship in marriage.
There are two kinds of relationship in marriage as follows.
- The relationship in the right and obligation which is arranged by God through His Word.
1 Corinthians 7:3-4
7:3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband.
7:4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
A husband has to love his wifelike his own body and must not do bitterly towards her. As a result, his wife will be his full right which cannot be charged against by anything.
A wife must be submissive to her husband in everything. As a result, the husband will be her full right which cannot be charged against by anything.
The children must be obedient to the parents. As a result, the parents will be the right of the children and they will pay attention to their children.
The parents must love and bring up the children according to the Word, so the children will not lose heart. A child will lose heart if the parents do not bring him up, even if they do not rebuke him in his mistake, especially about marriage. Losing heart, one will be the pillar of salt which is only to be trampled and destroyed forever like the wife of Lot.
- The relationship in the trust of God.
Marriage refers to the calling and election of God. Some people are called and chosen to get married, so they have to get married. Nevertheless, some people are not called and chosen to get married, but they have the highest status according to the Bible.
Be careful! The physical and spiritual famine may make everyone sell the right and trust of God in the marriage.
We must appreciate the right and trust of God in the marriage according to our own position, so we will not experience the physical and spiritual famine.
Actually, there are three kinds of God's right and trust which cannot be charged against by anything as follows.
- The tithes and offerings.
Malachi 3:8-9
3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.
3:9 You are cursed with a curse, For you have robbed Me, Even this whole nation.
Because of the physical and spiritual famine, many servants of God steal the tithes and offerings, which belong to God. It is the same as selling the right and trust from God. Consequently, they live in curse, sorrow, weariness, heavy burden, tears, and perdition forever.
A pastor must be trustworthy to receive and return the tithes and offerings, which belong to God; or else there will be no food or the revelation of God's Word for the congregation. Consequently, the congregation will experience the physical and spiritual famine. There will be no opening of the doors if there is no revelation of God's Word; even the door of the heavenly kingdom is closed.
- The house of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 3:16
3:16 Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
6:19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
6:20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's.
Our life has been bought at a price, namely the expensive or glorious blood of Jesus. Thus, our life becomes precious and expensive before God, namely as His house. We become His possession which cannot be charged against by anything.
The function of the house of the Lord is to serve and minister to Him.
There will be many servants of God who become unfaithful in the service and ministry to Him because of the physical and spiritual famine. Moreover, they leave their service and ministry to God and do not want to worship Him. It is the same as despising God and trampling the blood of Jesus or selling the right and trust from Him.
Jeremiah 48:10a
48:10 Cursed is he who does the work of the LORD deceitfully, ....
Consequently, they are cursed. They weep forever like Esau.
- The bride.
John 3:29a
3:29 "He who has the bride is the bridegroom;...
She refers to the congregation that has been as perfect and glorious as Jesus is by the work of the sword which is sharper than any two-edged sword. She will meet the Bridegroom on the glorious clouds to enter the marriage supper of the Lamb and the New Jerusalem forever.
Therefore, let us keep our physical marriage to be able to enter the spiritual one. What must be kept?
- The truth of the marriage according to the Word. There must be the blessing from the parents, the approval in the administration by the government, and the blessing from the pastor.
- The holiness of the marriage.
- The unity of the marriage.
If the marriage is righteous, holy, and one, the death will not be able to separate the husband and the wife. One of them may die according to God's permission, but he or she will be resurrected in the body of glory when Jesus comes a second time to enter the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Because of the physical and spiritual famine, many servants of God reject the sanctification which is done by the work of the Word, so they keep the sins up to the peak. It is the same as selling the right and trust from God. Consequently, they live in curse and will be left when Jesus comes a second time. It means that they cannot enter the marriage supper of the Lamb.
Jeremiah 48:10b
48:10 ... And cursed is he who keeps back his sword from blood.
Genesis 12:16
12:16 He treated Abram well for her sake. He had sheep, oxen, male donkeys, male and female servants, female donkeys, and camels.
Be careful! Do not sell the right and trust of God about the tithes, offerings, service and ministry to Him, as well as the marriage and Bride Tidings in order to get physical things, or else there will be curse and everlasting perdition.
- The age of the Son of God, which is counted from Abraham to Jesus' first coming, is represented by Isaac.
Genesis 26:1,7
26:1 There was a faminein the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar.
26:7 And the men of the place asked about his wife. And he said, "She is my sister"; for he was afraid to say, "She is my wife," because he thought, "lest the men of the place kill me for Rebekah, because she is beautiful to behold."
Isaac did not dare to confess Rebekah as his wife. He confessed her as his sister. It was right that she was his sister, but something was hidden.
The consequence of the famine is something which is dark or hidden in the marriage until one easily stumbles and the destruction happens in the marriage and children.
Genesis 26:12
26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him.
The solution from the famine is that we must be in the sowing of the seed of the Word until bearing fruits a hundredfold.
The things which must be kept are as follows.
- One kind of the seed of the true teaching Word which is written in the Bible and revealed by God through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible.
Leviticus 19:19
19:19 ' You shall keep My statutes. You shall not let your livestock breed with another kind. You shall not sow your field with mixed seed. Nor shall a garment of mixed linen and wool come upon you.
- The gentle heart, namely being able to receive the hard teaching Word that points at our sins.
1 Thessalonians 2:13
2:13 For this reason we also thank God without ceasing, because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also effectively works in you who believe.
The gentle hearts is able to believe in the preaching of the Word as the words of Jesus Himself which will work to do good things in our life.
As a result, we can bear fruits, namely thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.
The thirtyfold refers to the Golden Candlestick, namely the perseverance in doing General Service to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts. The sheep is drinking in this perseverance.
The sixtyfold refers to the Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy communion to get the fellowship with the Son of God in the true teaching Word and His sacrifice. The sheep is eating in this perseverance.
A hundredfold refers to the Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service to get the fellowship with Father God in His love. The sheep is breathing in this service.
Thus, bearing fruits up to a hundredfold refers to the perseverance in doing three main services in the shepherding.
John 21:15-18
21:15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
21:16 He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep."
21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.
21:18 "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
These things will happen in the shepherding.
- Our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God, so we can be strong spiritually and not deny God.
- We always do the introspection to be sanctified and cleansed up to our heart.
- We can be mature spiritually and able to submit our life to God. We can be obedient until our flesh does not speak anymore.
As a result, God as the Great Shepherd will stretch out His great merciful hands to count us.
Ezekiel 20:37
20:37 "I will make you pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant;
Isaiah 52:13-14
52:13 Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.
52:14 Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;
Isaiah 53:3-4
53:3 He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.
53:4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.
The glorious Jesus was not counted to make the Gentiles counted.
The results are as follows.
- We are counted by God although we are only like a piece of hair as long as we dwell in the shepherding.
Matthew 10:30
10:30 "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
Acts 27:34-36
27:34 "Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you."
27:35 And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat.
27:36 Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.
The great merciful hands of God are able to preserve and protect our life in the midst of the sea of the world physically and spiritually up to the days when the antichrist reigns over the world. We can feel peaceful, easy, and light.
- Every step of our life is counted by God.
Job 31:4
31:4 Does He not see my ways, And count all my steps?
Job 14:16
14:16 For now You number my steps, But do not watch over my sin.
It means that the great merciful hands of God are sanctifying and changing our life from the sinful men to the spiritual ones like He is. It means honesty. As a result, every step of our life is in miracle. It continues up to the last step, namely we are changed to be as perfect as Jesus is when He comes a second time. We do not stumble in words. We only cry out "Alleluia" to welcome His coming on the glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
