To Coincide with Priest and Priest Candidate Upgrading III
Matthew 27:11-26 is about
the seven sprinklings of blood upon the Ark of Covenant.
Meaning the suffering Jesus must experience until He dies on the cross to save, sanctify, and perfect the Church of God.
We learn about the third sprinkling of blood, namely
The Soldiers Mock Jesus.
Matthew 27:27-3127:27 Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole garrison around Him.
27:28 And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him.
27:29 When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
27:30 Then they spat on Him, and took the reed and struck Him on the head.
27:31 And when they had mocked Him, they took the robe off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him away to be crucified.
There are three kinds of mockery Jesus experiences as follows.
- The soldiers put a scarlet robe on Him and beat Him [verse 28].
It means mocking the authority of Jesus, the King. One of the authorities of Jesus as the King is defeating sin.
Keeping sins and false matters mean mocking the authority of Jesus.
- They put a crown of thorns on His head [verse 29].
Actually, the crown of Jesus, the King of all kings, is rainbow, the crown of glory.
Putting a crown of thorns on Jesus’ head means mocking the glory of Jesus, the King.
The fact found in it is doing or saying something that makes God, parents, and pastor grieved. Consequently, he will be pierced with thorns and burnt.
Jesus is willing to receive the sprinkling of blood through wearing the crown of thorns to deliver us from the curse of sin and give us the crown of bride so that we can welcome Jesus’ second coming on glorious clouds and enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
Song of Solomon 3:113:11 Go forth, O daughters of Zion, And see King Solomon with the crown With which his mother crowned him On the day of his wedding, The day of the gladness of his heart.Solomon, as it is written in Old Testament, wore the crown of bridegroom on the day of his wedding, the day of the gladness of his heart.
The perfect Church, in New Testament, wears the crown of bride to see Jesus face to face on glorious clouds. We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God that is the day of gladness, even the peak of gladness.
We have to seriously make efforts now and win to get the crown of bride.
All things we make effort to get and reach in the world will be meaningless if we do not have the crown of bride because we cannot welcome Jesus’ second coming and all things will perish together with the world.
There are five stages of the crown of bride as follows.
- The crown of righteousness.
2 Timothy 4:7-8
4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
The requirement to get it is we have to seriously make efforts and win in order to keep on having faith until the end, namely we die or Jesus comes a second time.
The facts found in keeping the faith are as follows.
- Fighting to keep on believing and confessing Jesus until the end.
- Fighting to keep on living in righteousness in all things until the end.
- Fighting to keep on holding fast to the true teaching Word we have experienced in our life.
1 Timothy 4:1-2
4:1. Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,
4:2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
Be alert, there will be many people who depart from the faith and the true teaching Word because of hearing strange voice that makes them doubt and lose the faith.
We can expressly reject the strange voice if we have the anointing of Holy Spirit, besides hold fast the true teaching Word. In such condition, our ministry is righteous before God.
The result is as follows.
- We are saved and preserved in the time of difficulties, both physically and spiritually.
Proverbs 10:2-3
10:2. Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
10:3 The LORD will not allow the righteous soul to famish, But He casts away the desire of the wicked.
- We can be righteous as Jesus is righteous.
1 John 3:7
3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
- Imperishable crown.
1 Corinthians 9:25-27
9:25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown.
9:26 Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air.
9:27 But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.
The requirement to get it is we have to seriously make efforts to preach or hear the gospel of salvation and the true teaching Word as well as obey it.
The result is as follows.
- We can live in holiness and sincere love of the brethren.
1 Peter 1:22
1:22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
- We will never see death or sin.
John 8:51
8:51. "Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death."
God shows Himself as the Healer so we can have spiritual health that we do not sin and physical one in our body, finance, et cetera.
Exodus 15:26
15:26 and said, "If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you."
- God opens the door of heaven for us.
Matthew 7:21-23
7:21. "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
7:22 "Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’
7:23 "And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
He also opens many doors in the world. For example, the door of our future life is opened and the door of heaven is too.
If one ministers with disobedience to the true teaching Word, he will be same as one who practices lawlessness. The more he ministers, the more he practices lawlessness and will be cast out by God to go into perdition.
- The crown of life.
Revelation 2:10
2:10 "Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
The requirement to get it is as follows.
- We have to seriously make efforts to be faithful in doing our service and ministry until the end.
- We have to fight in order to endure in facing temptations.
James 1:12
1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
One who endures is wise.
Matthew 7:24-25
7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
7:25 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
Being wise means knowing the limit in our saying or deeds, so that they are righteous and good. We should know well whom we talk to with good manner and the content of our saying. We also know the limit in hearing the Word of God that we should not criticize it, joke, or disobey it.
The result of being faithful and wise is as follows.
- Being employed in the ministry of building the perfect body of Christ.
If we are not employed in the ministry of building the body of Christ, soon or later we will be employed in building Babel that will perish.
- Our death and life depend on the faithfulness and wisdom. We will not perish if we are faithful and wise.
Revelation 2:11
2:11 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."
- The crown of glory that does not fade away.
1 Peter 5:4
5:4 and when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.
The requirement is we have to seriously make efforts in order to be well-shepherded.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- We fight in order to persevere in the shepherding or the Holy Place of tabernacle, where there are three kinds of equipment that refer to perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick -->perseverance in doing General Service.
- Table of Showbread -->perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
- Golden Altar of Incense -->perseverance in doing Prayer Service.
It begins from a pastor who must persevere first in the sheepfold.
- Making effort to minister to God not by compulsion but willingly.
1 Peter 5:2
5:2 Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly;
We must minister to God not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly, even we can offer all things.
- Being examples.
1 Peter 5:3
5:3 nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock;
1 Timothy 4:12
4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
As a result, we will never fade away but become as a tree planted by the rivers of water.
Psalm 1:3
1:3 He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
Not fading away means as follows.
- Not being hopeless or disappointed or proud of anything but we can always give thanks to God.
- Not stumbling, sinning, or losing ways.
- Keeping on being faithful and fervent in spirit doing the service and ministry to God.
Soon or later there will be sweet fruits. We have sweet beautiful life and well-arranged one in the shepherding. We also have success in life because of God as long as we attain to the Vine.
- The crown of rejoicing.
1 Thessalonians 2:19-20
2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?
2:20 For you are our glory and joy.
The requirement to receive it is our willingness to experience the sprinkling of blood or suffering together with Jesus.
1 Peter 4:14
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
We get the anointing of Holy Spirit or shekinah glory or the spirit of glory on our head when we experience the sprinkling of blood.
Leviticus 21:12
21:12 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
The result is as follows.
- We can joy in our sufferings.
- We experience life renewal from flesh men to spiritual ones as Jesus is.
Revelation 21:11
21:11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
The renewal in New Jerusalem is in being clear as crystal as follows.
- Honesty, meaning we say "yes" if "yes", "no" if "no". We must be honest about teaching, finance, and all matters.
- Sincere faith that we can believe and fully entrust ourselves to God.
There will be the light of glory or shekinah glory.
The examples are as follows.
- Saul, being reached by the shekinah glory, changes to Paul. One who has no hope spiritually and must perish can be changed if he has honesty and fully entrusts himself to God.
- The widow of Zarephath has no hope physically. There is help from the shekinah glory when there is sincere faith and honesty.
- The transgressor crucified beside Jesus who has no hope both spiritually and physically. One can still be healed even enter the paradise when he has honesty and believes in God.
Maybe our life now is as a bruised reed or smoking flax. There will be shekinah glory that is able to heal our life if we have honesty and sincere faith. It continues until we are changed to become as glorious as Jesus is when He comes a second time. We welcome Him and enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God, the peak of our joy.
God blesses you.
