Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 3:7-13 is about the church in Philadelphia.
Revelation 3:73:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
There are three kinds of Jesus’ appearance for the church in Philadelphia as follows.
- Jesus as He who is true.
- Jesus as He who is holy.
- Jesus as He who has the key of David.
Ad.1 Jesus as He who is true (it refers to the Court).
Luke 23:46-4723:46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’"Having said this, He breathed His last.
23:47 So when the centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God, saying, "Certainly this was a righteous Man!"
Jesus was confessed as a right person by the Gentiles when He died, so they could get the righteousness of Jesus. Jesus is a right man, but He willingly dies on the cross for doing these things.
- Bearing the sins as well as the curses and condemnation of sin.
- Forgiving and saving the sinful men as well as justifying them to be as righteous as Jesus is.
1 John 3:7
3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
Acts 19:1-619:1 And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples
19:2 he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."
19:3 And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John’s baptism."
19:4 Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus."
19:5 When they heard this, they were baptizedin the name of the Lord Jesus.
19:6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
The process of being saved until the Gentiles are as righteous as Jesus is as follows.
- Having faith or believing in Jesus as the only savior. It refers to entering the Gate of Tabernacle.
- Repenting or being dead to sin and returning to God. It refers to the Altar of Burnt Offering.
- Being baptized of water. It refers to Brazen Laver.
Ones who have died to sin must be buried in water with Jesus and raised with Him to receive the new life or the righteous one.
- Being baptized of Holy Spirit. It refers to the Door of Tabernacle.
Being baptized of water and Holy Spirit results in the new life, namely the heavenly one. We become the sons of God.
1 John 3:9
3:9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
The facts found in being the sons of God are as follows.
- Not sinning anymore, but living in righteousness and holding fast the true teaching Word. We also become the instruments of righteousness, namely serving and ministering to God faithfully and correctly.
- We cannot sin anymore. None can deceive us. It means being as righteous as Jesus is.
1 John 3:7
3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
The results are as follows.
- Being saved.
Proverbs 10:2
10:2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, But righteousness delivers from death.
- God always pays attention to us and answers our prayer.
1 Peter 3:12
3:12 For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil."
Ad.2. Jesus as He who is holy (it refers to the Holy Place).
1 Peter 1:15-161:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
1:16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
Jesus appears as He who is holy
to sanctify the saved people until they can be as holy as Jesus is.
We can be sanctified in the Holy Place or shepherding pen. There are three kinds of equipment inside it that refer to the perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Service to have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the gifts.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion to have fellowship with the Son of God in the teaching Word and Christ’s sacrifice.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service to have fellowship with Father God in the love.
Our body, soul, and spirit are serving the Trinity of God in the shepherding pen like the three times of Jesus’ question to Peter. It is useful so that we experience the sanctification done by the sword of the Word and do not deny Jesus because of keeping sin or idol.
1 Corinthians 5:115:11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner––not even to eat with such a person. In the shepherding pen, our body, soul, and spirit are sanctified from the six ingrained sins as follows.
- The sins that are ingrained in our body, namely sexually immoralor sexuality sin with all its kinds anddrunkard or the sins concerning eating-drinking.
- The sins that are ingrained in the soul, namely covetous(one cannot give for the work of God and others who need), reviler, andextortioner.
- The sin that is ingrained in the spirit, namely idolater. Idol means something that hinders us to love God and prioritize the service and ministry. It includes disobedience.
1 Samuel 15:22-23
15:22Then Samuel said: "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.
15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the LORD, He also has rejected you from being king."
We are sanctified in the shepherding so that our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God like a branch that dwells in the true Vine. The results are as follows.
- Bearing sweet fruits. There is heavenly joy.
- We are preserved abundantly until we can give thanks.
John 15:1
15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
We are pleaded and protected by God.
- We are used in the ministry for building the perfect body of Christ until we are as holy as Jesus is.
Ad.3 Jesus appears as He who has the key of David (it refers to the Most Holy Place).
The key of David is given to the people who are worthy to get it.
Physically, the key of David refers to the one of the kingdom of Israel that was given to Solomon. Adonijah could not take it away.
Spiritually, the key of David refers to the one of heavenly kingdom that is given only to the people who are worthy to get it.
Acts 14:2214:22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, "We must through many tribulations enter the kingdom of God." Those are the people who willingly experience the sprinkling of blood or suffering in the flesh with Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:16-174:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, It is useful for the renewal of our life from carnal men to spiritual ones like Jesus. It begins from the heart. The disappointed heart is changed into the strong one and good courage.
Acts 27:33-36, 4427:33 And as day was about to dawn, Paul implored them all to take food, saying, "Today is the fourteenth dayyou have waited and continued without food, and eaten nothing.
27:34 "Therefore I urge you to take nourishment, for this is for your survival, since not a hair will fall from the head of any of you."
27:35 And when he had said these things, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of them all; and when he had broken it he began to eat.
27:36 Then they were all encouraged, and also took food themselves.
27:44 and the rest, some on boards and some on parts of the ship. And so it was that they all escaped safely to land.We can be strong and of good courage through the food on the fourteenth day although we are like a piece of hair in the midst of storm. The food on the fourteenth day refers to the Holy Communion.
Exodus 12:5-612:5 'Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats.
12:6 'Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. Being strong and of good courage means as follows.
- Keeping on holding fast and obeying the true teaching Word.
- Keeping on living in righteousness regardless of any storm we have to face. Not being righteous, one will sink in the midst of the storm.
- Not being disappointed or hopeless in facing all things, but keeping faithful and fervent in spirit in serving and ministering to God.
- Keeping on believing and entrusting our life fully to God. We keep on worshiping and lifting up our two hands to God. As a result, God will stretch out His merciful hand to save us.
Acts 27:4427:44 and the rest, some on boards and some on parts of the ship. And so it was that they all escaped safely to land.
Escaping safely to land means as follows.
- The merciful hands of God are able to preserve and protect us in the midst of difficulties in the world until the days when the antichrist reigns over it although we are powerless like a piece of hair.
- The merciful hands of God are able to calm the raging sea or solve all problems, even the impossible ones. Our tears are wiped away. He gives us peace and all things become easy and light. He also gives us beautiful, successful, and joyful future life.
- The merciful hands of God are able to bring us in the unity of the perfect body of Christ. We become the bride who is ready to welcome Jesus’ second coming on the glorious clouds. We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God, one thousand years kingdom of peace, and New Jerusalem.
For example, the two criminals crucified besides Jesus were like two pieces of hair in the midst of great storm. One of them was disappointed until he blasphemed Jesus, sank, and perished while another could confess his sin, worship God, and enter the Paradise with Jesus.
God blesses you.
