Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 19:30
19:30. "But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
Matthew 19:27-30 is about the wage of following Jesus.
It refers to ordination or the ministry to God.
A priest or servant of God must bring the offering of total surrendering that produces fragrance before God, so his ministry pleases Him.
In the Old Testament, Aaron as the high priest and his sons as the priests brought the offering of male lamb as the one of total surrendering to God.
The male lamb was slain, skinned, cut into pieces, and burnt, so it produced fragrance before God.
Matthew 19:27
19:27. Then Peter answered and said to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore what shall we have?"In the New Testament, the requirement of total surrendering was leaving all and following Jesus like Peter.
It means sacrificing the time, effort, thought, money, and feeling up to our whole life to God.
Romans 12:1
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
The requirements of presenting our bodies are as follows:
- The living body means being ruled over by Holy Spirit. We get it through the perseverance in doing the General Service.
Holy Spirit helps us, so we keep faithful and fervent in the ministry to God.
- The holy body means being controlled by the true teaching Word. We get it through the perseverance in doing the Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
- The body which is acceptable to God refers to being ruled over by the love of God. We get it through the perseverance in doing the Prayer Service.
The love of God is eternal, so our ministry is eternal too up to the eternal life.
Matthew 19:28
19:28. So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. We must experience the renewal of life from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus, so we are worthy to receive the wages from God.
The wages of following and ministering to God are as follows:
- Sitting on the throne of judgment and judging men with God when He comes a second time.
- The double wage, namely the one of a hundredfold in the world and the eternal life in heaven.
Matthew 19:29
19:29. "And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.
Matthew 19:30
19:30. "But many who are first will be last, and the last first.
Be watchful! There are many servants of God who fail during the journey, so they are left when Jesus comes a second time.
Why is it so?
- They fail during the journey because they do not bring their total surrendering to God. They do not want to give the time, effort, and feeling to God.
- They fail during the journey because they do not want to experience the cross. They look for the thing that is comfortable for flesh but they do not want to be purified. It is the same as keeping the sinful flesh and blood man.
There are three states of the flesh and blood man that are kept as follows:
- The lust of the flesh in heart and mind, namely the one of evil and uncleanness.
Mark 7:21-22
7:21. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,
7:22. thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.
- The works of the flesh and idle word.
Galatians 5:19-21
5:19. Now the works of the fleshare evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
5:20. idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
5:21. envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Matthew 12:36
12:36. "But I say to you that for every idle wordmen may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.
- The characters of flesh.
It starts from disobedience like Adam and Eve. That is why Jesus must become obedient to the point of death on the cross.
Disobedience is the source of all negative things up to perdition forever.
We must experience the renewal of life from fleshly men to spiritual ones like Jesus. The flesh is burnt to become the incense that produces fragrance before God, so our ministry pleases Him until we sit on the throne of heaven forever.
The flesh is burnt by the things as follows:
- The true teaching word and the Holy Communion.
- The true worship that is driven by the true teaching word.
- The sprinkling of blood or suffering in the flesh with Jesus.
Philippians 2:5-9
2:5. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
2:6. who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
2:7. but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
2:8. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,The signs of spiritual man like Jesus are as follows:
- Making himself of no reputation or one who has no right. It is the zero point.
Fleshly man will demand his right, but the spiritual one just does his duty, namely glamorizing and glorifying God.
Our ministry starts from marriage, shepherding, and inter-shepherding until the perfect body of Christ is formed.
In the marriage, each one does his duty without demanding the right. A husband loves his wife, and a wife submits to her husband.
In the shepherding, the shepherd does his duty without demanding the right, so he can glamorize and glorify God.
It continues in the inter-shepherding ministry up to the perfect body of Christ.
Isaiah 49:3-4
49:3. "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.'
49:4. Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the LORD, And my work with my God.'"
As a result, our reward and work are in the hand of God. God never lies.
- Humbling ourselves, namely the lowliness in heart and gentleness.
The lowliness in heart means that one can confess his sin to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven! Also, he esteems others more than him.
Philippians 2:3
2:3. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
The gentleness means that one can receive the Word of God, no matter how hard it is. Also, he can accept others with their weakness and superiority.
If we have already become lowly in heart and gentle, we will experience peace and relief, so all things become easy and light.
- Being obedient until our flesh does not sound anymore.
Philippians 2:8-9
2:8. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
2:9. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
If we become obedient until our flesh does not sound anymore, we will receive the power of the name of Jesus.
The results are as follows:
- The power of winning over the trinity of Satan, the source of sins up to the peak, so we can live in righteousness and holiness.
Philippians 2:10
2:10. that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
Satan is the source of impossible problems. If we become obedient, the power of the name of Jesus will finish all of our impossible problems.
Satan is the source of labors, heavy burdens, and tears. If we become obedient, the power of the name of Jesus will give us the happiness of Paradise.
- The power to make all things beautiful and successful in His time.
Hebrews 1:4
1:4. having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
- The power of the name of Jesus takes away our reproach until we are as perfect as Him.
Isaiah 4:1
4:1. And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, "We will eat our own food and wear our own apparel; Only let us be called by your name, To take away our reproach."
We do not stumble in words. We just say Alleluiato greet Jesus when He comes a second time. We sit together with Him on the throne of heaven.
God blesses us.
