Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
There are four appearances of Jesus in the glory [Revelation 1:13-16] as follows.
- [verse 13] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as The High Priest.
- [verse 14] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as The King of all kings.
- [verse 15] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as The Just Judge.
- [verse 16] the appearance of Jesus in the glory as The Heavenly Bridegroom.
Jesus, The Heavenly Bridegroom is The Head and we are His bride or body. Jesus appears in the glory as The Heavenly Bridegroom in order to become one with us, so that we will never be separated from Him forever.
Thus, the purpose of the four appearances of Jesus is to make us not separated from Him forever.
ad. 4. The appearance of Jesus in the glory as The Heavenly Bridegroom.
Revelation 1:16
1:16 He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two–edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.
One of the signs is
out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword.
Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of Godis living and powerful, and sharper than any two–edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
What comes out of Jesus’ mouth is the sword of the Word of God. What is its work?
- Sanctifying the house of Israel in the age of the Old Testament until there was the figure 3000.
Exodus 32:27-28
32:27 And he said to them, "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'Let every man put his swordon his side, and go in and out from entrance to entrance throughout the camp, and let every man kill his brother, every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.' "
32:28 So the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses. And about three thousand menof the people fell that day.
3000= 2000+1000.
2000 is the volume of the Holy Place, whose length is twenty cubits and the width is the same as the height, namely ten cubits.
1000 is the volume of the Most Holy Place, whose length is the same as the width and height, namely ten cubits.
Thus, the figure 3000 refers to the Holy Place added with the Most Holy Place.
The sword of the Word of God is able to do these two things.
- Sanctifying the congregation to enter the Holy Place.
There are three kinds of equipment inside the Holy Place that refer to the perseverance in doing three main services as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Service to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service to get the fellowship with the Son of God in God’s Word and the sacrifice of Christ.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service to get the fellowship with Father God in His love.
We are sanctified by the sword of God’s Word until we enter the perseverance in doing three main services to God. Our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God or we are faithful in doing the three main services to God and we live in holiness.
Thus, the figure 2000 refers to holiness and faithfulness in life. Although we are only small and powerless branch, we are attaching to the True Vine when we are holy and faithful. As a result, we bear sweet fruits for sure.
- Sanctifying the congregation to enter the Most Holy Place to be perfect or without any blemish and as glorious as Jesus to become His bride. It is the highest level of fruit that can be offered to God.
- Sanctifying the house of Israel in the age of the New Testament to reach the figure 3000 and become the bride of God.
Acts 2:37,41-42
2:37Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, "Men and brethren, what shall we do?"
2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand soulswere added to them.
2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
- Sanctifying the Gentiles or unclean animals that are not worthy to be offered to God, so that they can be made clean to please Him. This happens only because of the mercy and grace of God to the Gentiles.
Acts 10:10-16
10:10 Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance
10:11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth.
10:12 In it were all kinds of four–footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.
10:13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
10:14 But Peter said, "Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean."
10:15 And a voice spoke to him again the second time, "What God has cleansed you must not call common."
10:16 This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.
The process that the Gentiles, unclean animals, can become the clean ones even the heavenly bride is as follows.
- Entering a great sheet bound at the four corners that refers to the four gospels for the four directions of the wind.
Acts 10:11
10:11 and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth.
Ephesians 1:13
1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
It is the gospel about Jesus’ first coming in the world to die on the cross and save the sinners, including the Gentiles. They must receive the gospel of salvation or Good News, so that the heavenly kingdom can be opened for them. It means there is opened opportunity for the Gentiles to get the redemption done by the sacrifice of Christ through the gospel of salvation or Good News.
The proof of the salvation of the Gentiles is as follows.
- Believing in Jesus as the only Savior. It refers to the Gate of Tabernacle.
- Repenting or stopping sinning to return to God. It refers to the Altar of Burnt Offering.
- Being baptized of water and Holy Spirit or renewed by the water and spirit. It refers to Brazen Laver and the Door of Tabernacle.
John 3:5-8
3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
3:8 "The windblows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
We become the wind coming from heaven and bringing coolness, peace, and truth wherever we are.
The wind is empty. It means humbleness of heart and obedience.
If we become the servants or sons of God who bring the coolness, peace, and truth, and we are obedient, we will endure all things. It means that we are not disappointed or hopeless and we never leave God regardless of any risk we have to face. We keep on giving thanks to God. We keep faithful and fervent in spirit without going backward.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2,8
28:1 "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandmentswhich I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.
28:2 "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:
28:8 "The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
As a result, God commands the blessings to come to us.
- The Gentiles must be killed. It means that we are sanctified by the sharp two-edged sword coming out of Jesus’ mouth.
Acts 10:13
10:13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; killand eat."
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
It refers to the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ or the gospel preaching about Jesus’ second coming on the glorious clouds in the glory as The King of all kings and Heavenly Bridegroom to sanctify the saved people to become as perfect as Jesus is and His bride. It is called Bride Tidings or the Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword [Hebrews 4:12].
2 Timothy 4:2
4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching.
The content of the true teaching Word is as follows.
- Showing the hidden sins in our life, so that we can get the remission and there is no condemnation.
- Rebuking, so that we can repent.
- Exhorting, namely the guidance of God’s hand to make us keep on staying on the railway track of God’s will or righteousness and holiness. It is also to give us solution of all problems, even the opened way to heaven.
Do not hide the sins, so that the presence and help of God are not hidden. Moreover, the important thing is the second coming of Jesus will not be hidden for us.
Matthew 15:21-27
15:21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon.
15:22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon–possessed."
15:23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, "Send her away, for she cries out after us."
15:24 But He answered and said, "I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."
15:25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"
15:26 But He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs."
15:27 And she said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table."
How great the Gentiles are, the condition is being demon-possessed, the marriage and children are destroyed, and there is no peace and quietness, but distress, sorrow, many tears and impossibilities, even perdition, if they are not in line to the true teaching Word. Only Jesus can help the Gentiles with the sharp two-edged sword coming out of His mouth. Thus, the Gentiles need the Word of God that is sharper than any two-edged sword as a must. It is the answer of God and solution of all problems.
Mark 7:24-25
7:24 From there He arose and went to the region of Tyre and Sidon. And He entered a house and wanted no one to know it, but He could not be hidden.
7:25 For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit heard about Him, and she came and fell at His feet.
If there is the teaching Word sharper than any two-edged sword or the revelation of the Word of God, the presence of God cannot be hidden to visit and help the Gentiles regardless of their condition. The second coming of Jesus will not be hidden also, so that we can welcome Him on the glorious clouds.
Matthew 15:26-27
15:26 But He answered and said, "It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs."
15:27 And she said, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbswhich fall from their masters’ table."
Our attitudes towards the Word of God that is sharper than any two-edged sword must be as follows.
- We need it, so we seriously hear it without getting bored and sleepy.
- We confess that it is true. It means that we do not murmur, criticize, or reject it, so that we can see our unrighteousness and weaknesses.
We can hear the true teaching Word seriously, understand, and believe, so that it becomes faith in our heart, and we can obey it. Afterwards, we can experience the slaughtering or sanctification.
Being killed or slaughtered means being sanctified from the characteristics of the Gentiles as follows.
- The characteristics of dog and swine.
The characteristic of the dog means the idle words that must be changed to become good righteous words.
The characteristic of the swine refers to the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
- Worry about daily life needs.
Matthew 6:31-33
6:31 "Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
6:32 "For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
6:33 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
The worry causes unfaithfulness and unrighteousness. The unfaithfulness and unrighteousness in the service and ministry to God as well as the marriage, job, and so on will cause the deficiency and one loses all things.
On the contrary, we live by the cross if we prioritize the spiritual matters. All things are added until we get the eternal life in heavenly kingdom forever.
- Self-truth.
Matthew 15:25
15:25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, "Lord, help me!"
It means the truth coming by blaming others, even God.
If the Gentles have been sanctified from the characteristics, they will be able to lick the bread crumbs or enjoy consuming the true teaching Word or the repeated Shepherding Word. We lick the crumbs with humble heart and highest appreciation, so that we become the sheep that are full and peaceful. The Word is ingrained in our life. It never vanishes away until forever.
- The Gentiles must be eaten. It means entering the true fellowship based on the true teaching Word.
Acts 10:13
10:13 And a voice came to him, "Rise, Peter; kill and eat."
- The fellowship of the body of Christ begins from marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding fellowship, up to the one perfect body of Christ between Israel and Gentiles.
Ephesians 2:13-16
2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
2:15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
2:16 and that He might reconcilethem both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
It begins from reconciling with one another by confessing and forgiving sins one another. The sins are removed by the blood of Jesus.
Reconciling means breaking down the middle wall of separation and building the wall of New Jerusalem.
If we can confess and forgive sins one another, we will be able to pay attention to, serve, give, and visit one another.
- The fellowship between the body and the Head.
John 6:55-56
6:55 "For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed.
6:56 "He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him.
It happens through the Holy Communion. We must examine and correct ourselves when we are consuming it. Finding any sin, we have to reconcile with God and others, so that the sin is finished by the blood of Jesus.
The fellowship between the body and the Head also happens through the neck, namely worship prayer with a broken heart. We confess that we are only clay that is not worthy, powerless, and not able. We only surrender fully to God, believe, and entrust ourselves fully to the sacrifice of Christ.
Mark 7:29
7:29Then He said to her, "For this saying go your way; the demon has gone out of your daughter."
Our worship is tested by God, namely until we can believe and entrust our life to Him, and we have the saying of faith, without being doubtful or weak.
Matthew 15:28
15:28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, "O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire." And her daughter was healed from that very hour.
Genesis 22:5
22:5 And Abraham said to his young men, "Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you."
Abraham also had the saying of faith. He believed that he and his son would come back.
Jesus will also struggle on the cross and say "It is finished." All sins and problems, even the impossible ones can be finished by the blood of Jesus. Through the Holy Communion, Jesus understands, cares, pays attention to us, and struggles until "It is finished." It happens until He comes a second time and changes us to be as glorious as He is.
Revelation 21:5-6
21:5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
21:6 And He said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.
God finishes all things from the beginning to the end.
God blesses you.
