Revelation 6: 12-17
6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
6:17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
The opening of the sixth seal or the sixth condemnation of Holy Spirit to the earth refers to the great earthquake which causes these things.
- Darkness.
- Shakings.
- Fear.
ad. 2.
The shakings.
Revelation 6:14
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
The great spiritual earthquake refers to the influence of the world with the evil and uncleanness which cause the servants of God to move out of the faith, hope, and love.
Revelation 18:2
18:2 And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird!
The cause of the sins of Babylon is as follows.
- Evil spirit or the wolves refers to the lust or love of money which causes stinginess and greediness.
- Unclean spirit or the birds refers to the sins concerning eating-drinking such as smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse as well as the ones concerning marrying-being given in marriage such as sexual affairs, sexual deviation, free sex, divorce-remarrying, and so on.
Revelation 21:8
21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
The fact found in the sins of Babylon is the eight sins which can be divided into three groups as follows.
- The cowardly and unbelieving.
The cowardly means the fear of something until resisting God and living in unrighteousness.
The unbelieving means anxiety or doubt.
It means moving out of the faith, the Court, or the truth.
- The abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters.
Such sins refer to resisting against the holiness of God or moving out of the hope or the Holy Place.
- The liars.
Such sin resists against the perfection of God. It means moving out of the love or the Most Holy Place.
Revelation 18:21
18:21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.
Revelation 21:8
21:8 "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part inthe lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
Consequently, one is drowned in the sea of the world up to the lake of fire and brimstone in the hell forever.
Revelation 17:1-2,5,15
17:1 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
17:2 "with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication."
17:5 And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
17:15 Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.Isaiah 17:12
17:12 Woe to the multitude of many people Who make a noise like the roar of the seas, And to the rushing of nations That make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters!Babylon rules over many waters or the sea, namely the Gentiles.
If the Gentiles want to be free in all things such as the marriage, the service and ministry to God, and so on, they will be ruled over by Babylon for sure.
The flesh is free means that it does not want to be crucified or torn. It does not want to suffer.
How can the Gentiles not be ruled over by Babylon?
- The many waters must be put in the waterpots. It means that the Gentiles must be shepherded correctly.
John 2:6-7
2:6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.
2:7 Jesus said to them, "Fill the waterpots with water." And they filled them up to the brim.
There are only six waterpots. Such amount is too small comparing to the seawater.
The figure six refers to the flesh.
It means as follows.
- Only few people of the Gentiles are willingly repressed from the desires and lusts.
- Only few people of the Gentiles are willingly shepherded correctly.
Only the Gentiles who are chosen by God and get His great mercy want to be shepherded well and correctly.
The requirements of being shepherded correctly are as follows.
- Dwelling in the sheepfold, namely the perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Serviceto have the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the gifts. We receive the hope from God. The proof is our faithfulness and fervency in spirit in doing the service and ministry to God.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communionto get the fellowship with the Son of God in the Word and the sacrifice of Christ. We receive the firm faith and the Word is ingrained in our life.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Worship Prayer Serviceto get the fellowship with Father God in the love. We breathe with the love of God.
- Consuming the double shepherding Word.
The main duty of a pastor is giving the double food to the congregation as follows.
- The Gospel Word, the Good News, or the milk.
Psalms 23:2
23:2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.
We experience the peace and serenity, so all things become easy and light.
- The teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword, the Bride Tidings, or the solid food.
Psalms 23:5
23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.
As a result, we are satisfied. We always give thanks to God and grow up to the spiritual maturity. The sign of the spiritual maturity is that we keep silent more.
The pastor must also lift up the intercession prayer to watch for the salvation of the congregation.
Proverbs 16:20
16:20He who heeds the word wisely will find good, And whoever trusts in the LORD, happy is he.
If there is the Word, the congregation will get the covering of goodness, salvation, and joy from God.
Proverbs 28:9
28:9 One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.
If a pastor does not want to feed the congregation, his prayer will be an abomination.
1 Timothy 5:17
5:17 Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and doctrine.
The congregation who can consume the double Word will feel the intercession prayer of the pastor in the world and the Shepherd in the heavenly kingdom. Such life will get the covering of goodness, salvation, and joy from God.
The results of being shepherded are as follows.
- Our body, soul, and spirit attach to the trinity of God, so the trinity of Satan cannot touch us. We keep on living in holiness in the Holy Place. We do not move out of the faith, hope, and love.
- "I shall not want" means the abundant and miraculous preservation of God. We can always give thanks to God as well as give to and visit others who are in need. Spiritually, God sanctifies our life until we are as perfect as Him. We are without blemish.
- Experiencing the renewal of life from water to wine.
John 2:8-10
2:8 And He said to them, "Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast." And they took it.
2:9 When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
2:10 And he said to him, "Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!"
Only the water in the waterpots may change into the wine.
It means that only the Gentiles who are shepherded may experience the renewal of life.
If the Gentiles are not shepherded like the sea, they will only produce mire and dirt.
The dirt refers to useless life.
The mire refers to life that wallows in the mire of sin.
Be careful! Being shepherded but not changing happens because the service to God is done only as habit and to be seen by others, not from the heart.
The signs are as follows.
- Not prioritizing the preaching of the Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword.
- Being proud of the tradition more than the Word.
What must be sanctified and renewed?
- Worry and doubt are changed into believing and fully entrusting our life to Jesus.
John 2:3
2:3 And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."
The sin of the cowardly and unbelieving or the first group has been defeated, so we can live in righteousness.
- Disobedience and rebellion are changed into obedience until the flesh does not speak anymore regardless of any risk we must face.
John 2:5
2:5 His mother said to the servants, "Whatever He says to you, do it."
As a result, the sin of the abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, and idolaters has been defeated, so we do not move out of the hope, but live in holiness.
- The tongue is changed from the dog licking vomit, namely lying, gossiping, slandering, and blaspheming God, to licking the crumbs and wine.
John 2:9
2:9 When the master of the feast had tastedthe water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.
Mark 7:28
7:28 And she answered and said to Him, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs."
We are changed, so we can be honest. We can also surrender and cry out to God. It will drag the great mercy of God.
The results are as follows.
- God stretches out His hand of power to divide the Red Sea.
Exodus14:21
14:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
It means that God gives solution of all problems or solve impossible problems. Moreover, the Red Sea is divided means that there is the revival to Canaan.
- God stretches out the great merciful hands to cure the physical and spiritual diseases as well as the ones in the marriage and children.
Mark 7:28
7:28 And she answered and said to Him, "Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs under the table eat from the children's crumbs."
God let the woman of Canaan face physical and spiritual disease as well as the one in the household so that she did not use the self-truth.
Matthew 15:22
15:22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, "Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed."
- God stretches out His mighty hands to exalt us in His time.
Luke 7:12-16
7:12 And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her.
7:13 When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, "Do not weep."
7:14 Then He came and touched the open coffin, and those who carried him stood still. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise."
7:15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And He presented him to his mother.
7:16 Then fear came upon all, and they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet has risen up among us"; and, "God has visited His people."
The young people are let die because they are often arrogant and not shepherded.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
The hands of God lift us up from all falls and failures. He is able to restore our life and make it beautiful and successful. The hand of God sanctifies us until we enter the marriage supper of the Lamb up to the New Jerusalem.
God blesses you.
