Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation chapter 2-3 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood before the Ark of the Covenant or the last sanctification done by the Lord to the churches in the last day so that they are without blemish like Jesus. They can be the bride of God who is worthy to welcome Jesus’ second coming.
We are learning the second church, namely in Smyrna.
Revelation 2:112:11 "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death."‘The promise of God to the church in Smyrna who overcomes is not being hurt by the second death or the hell.
Revelation 20:1420:14Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. It means defeating the death.
1 Corinthians 15:55-5815:55 "O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?"
15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.
15:57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. There are three proofs that we defeat the death as follows.
- Being steadfast and immovable.
1 Corinthians 16:13
16:13 Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong.
It means standing fast in the faith or righteousness. The facts found in it are as follows.
- We keep on living in righteousness, regardless of any risk we have to take.
- We hold fast the true teaching Word and obey it.
2 Thessalonians 2:15
2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.
The true teaching Word is written in the Bible and revealed by God through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible.
'which you were taught' means that we are in the full assurance and firmness to the true teaching Word we have experienced. Nowadays, there are many false teachings.
The process of holding fast and obeying the true teaching Word is as follows.
- Hearing the true teaching Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit, whether by writing or saying and direct preaching or through cassette / VCD/ internet until we can understand it.
- Holy Spirit helps us to believe in the true teaching Word to be the firm faith in our heart. We do not give any opportunity to hear other teaching.
- Holy Spirit helps us to obey the true teaching Word.
Matthew 7:24-25
7:24 "Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock:
7:25 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
As a result, we are used in the ministry for building the perfect body of Christ upon the rock or Jesus, so we can endure the attack of Satan the trinity, namely Satan with unclean spirit, the false prophet with false teachings, and the antichrist with the power of mammon.
The door of heaven is open and we do not experience the death forever.
Matthew 7:21
7:21 "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
John 8:51
8:51 "Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death."
- Always abounding in the work of the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58
15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
It means that we actively serve and minister to God according to the ministry He has entrusted to us.
2 Corinthians 3:5-8
3:5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
3:6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
3:7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,
3:8 how will the ministry of the Spiritnot be more glorious?
There are two kinds of the ministry to God as follows.
- In the Old Testamentor the system of the Law that only relied on flesh power. Nevertheless, it was not able. Thus, it only aims at physical death.
Ministering to God only by the flesh powers such as riches, intelligence, high position, experience, and so on, one will dry and die spiritually, even perish.
- In the New Testamentor the ministry of the Spirit that relies on the power of Holy Spirit that cannot be limited.
Leviticus 21:12
21:12 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
In the Old Testament, a priest had to be in the Holy Place of Tabernacle to get the sanctification and anointing of Holy Spirit so that he did not die spiritually.
In the New Testament, a priest must be in the spiritual Holy Place, namely perseverance in the shepherding pen. There are three kinds of equipment in the Holy Place that refer to the perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Service to have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the gifts.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communion to have fellowship with the Son of God in the true teaching Word and the sacrifice of Christ.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Prayer Service to get fellowship with Father God in the love.
In the shepherding, our body, soul, and spirit are sanctified by God the Trinity through the work of the true teaching Word, Holy Spirit, and the love of God so that we experience the anointing of Holy Spirit. We are neither dry nor dead in the spirituality.
The more we are sanctified and anointed, the more we are used and blessed by God.
The signs of the ministry of the Spirit are as follows.
- Not being disappointed or proud of anything, but giving thanks always to God.
2 Corinthians 4:1
4:1Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.
- Not being the stumbling-block for others so that the ministry is not blamed and it does not make God grieved.
2 Corinthians 6:3
6:3 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed.
We must become the example so that we can glorify God.
1 Timothy 4:12
4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an exampleto the believers in word(1), in conduct(2), in love(3), in spirit, in faith(4), in purity(5).
We must take the example of the sacrifice of Christ, namely willingly bearing the cross or suffering in the flesh with Jesus, so that we can be an example.
- Fulfilling the ministry we have received in the Lord.
Colossians 4:17
4:17 And say to Archippus, "Take heed to the ministry which you have received in the Lord, that you may fulfillit."
It means that we are faithful and fervent in spirit in serving and ministering to God until the end, namely we pass away or Jesus comes a second time.
2 Peter 1:10-11
1:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
1:11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As a result, we receive the full right to enter heavenly kingdom.
- The labor is not in vain in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 15:58
15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
We must labor in the world in our study and job. They may be great, but will only aim at the tomb. One labor that will not in vain is the service and ministry to God because they will accompany us in heaven.
Revelation 22:3
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
Nevertheless, many people belittle them. If our heart loves God, we will fight so that we can serve and minister to God without being hindered by anything.
Mark 10:28-30
10:28Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You."
10:29 So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel’s,
10:30 "who shall not receive a hundredfoldnow in this time––houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions––and in the age to come, eternal life.
There is double salary in the service and ministry to God, namely a hundredfold and eternal life. The requirements are as follows.
- Having the figure 100= 10x10.
The first 10 means listening to the Word of God.
The second 10 means obeying the Word of God.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us––baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
We must be reborn through water baptism to get the good conscience that is obedient.
- We must willingly get the suffering or persecution with Jesus.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
There is Spirit of Glory behind the suffering to make us joyful in the midst of sufferings. The Spirit of Glory changes us from fleshy men to new ones.
Ephesians 4:24-25
4:24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
4:25 Therefore, putting away lying, "Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor," for we are members of one another.
It begins from not lying, but saying right, good, and honest words.
Being honest and obedient means stretching out our two hands to God. As a result, He stretches out His hand to us and we get His power as follows.
- We experience the power of lifting up.
2 Samuel 12:11-13, 24
12:11 "Thus says the LORD: ‘Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12:12 ‘For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.’"
12:13 So David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
12:24 Then David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her and lay with her. So she bore a son, and he called his name Solomon. Now the LORD loved him,
David fell in sin and failed in spirituality and marriage. Nevertheless, God came with the hard teaching Word through Nathan the prophet. He could honestly confess his sin and be obedient. He did not sin anymore and the hand of God healed him spiritually. He returned to the right life. His marriage and household could be healed by God. His marriage and descendants were trusted by God to enter the building of the perfect body of Christ, even the marriage supper of the Lamb.
- We experience the power of creation.
Luke 5:4-5
5:4 When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."
5:5 But Simon answered and said to Him, "Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net."
Peter failed physically. Relying only on the intelligence, riches, position, experience, and so on, we cannot compete in the sea of the world which is full of waves. We must rely on God Himself or the true teaching Word.
John 21:3
21:3 Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.
Peter got the failure in spiritual life and ministry.
John 21:5-6
21:5 Then Jesus said to them, "Children, have you any food?" They answered Him, "No."
21:6 And He said to them, "Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some."So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.
Jesus comes with the hard Word that shows us our condition and failure. Such Word is not in line with our logic because Peter was commanded to cast the net in the morning. Nevertheless, Peter was honest and obedient. As a result, he could get the power of creation, from no fish to many fish. It means we get the preservation power in our physical life miraculously until we have the abundance. We are also healed spiritually in the right consecration.
Romans 11:29
11:29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.
The power of creation also creates the wine. It means that the marriage is healed and there is joy of heaven.
Luke 5:7
5:7 So they signaled to their partners in the other boatto come and help them. And they came and filled both the boats, so that they began to sink.
After being healed and blessed, we must not forget ourselves. Do not forget to testify to others.
- We experience the power of renewal.
Luke 5:10-11
5:10and so also were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. And Jesus said to Simon, "Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men."
5:11 So when they had brought their boats to land, they forsook all and followed Him.
We are changed from the fishermen to the fishers of men or from fleshy men to spiritual ones like Jesus.
The fleshy man is egoistic with the self truth and will like the beasts and the criminal who was crucified besides Jesus. It means total failure in physical and spiritual life.
Luke 23:41, 43
23:41 "And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong."
23:43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
If we are honest and obedient, God is able to heal us with the atmosphere of paradise. We are changed to be as glorious as Jesus is when He comes a second time. We can enter the Future Paradise and New Jerusalem.
God blesses you.
