Revelation 6: 12-17
6:12 I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood.
6:13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
6:15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains,
6:16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb!
6:17 "For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
The opening of the sixth seal or the sixth condemnation of Holy Spirit to the earth refers to the great earthquake which causes these things.
- Darkness.
- Shakings.
- Fear.
ad. 2. The shakings.
Revelation 6:14
6:14 Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.
The spiritual earthquake refers to the influence of the world with all of its difficulties, amenities, wickedness, and uncleanness
which cause the shakings.
There are three influences of the world which cause the shakings as follows.
- Hatred up to the hatred without a cause.
John 15:25
15:25 "But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law, 'They hated Me without a cause.'
- Difficulties, tribulation, and persecution.
John 16:33
16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
- Amenities, riches, and position in the world.
2 Timothy 4:10
4:10 for Demas has forsaken me, having loved this present world, and has departed for Thessalonica--Crescens for Galatia, Titus for Dalmatia.
The shakings will cause the sons of God to move from His love, so all things become meaningless, useless, and destroyed forever.
We must be watchful so that we do not move from the love of God.
The solution is through learning about the Ark of the Covenant.
The Ark of the Covenant consists of these two parts.
- The mercy seat of pure gold or godly matters.
Exodus 25:17-18
25:17 "You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold; two and a half cubits shall be its length and a cubit and a half its width.
25:18 "And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work you shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.
It consists of these things.
- The first cherub, namely Father God or the Lord.
- The mercy seat, namely the Son of God or Jesus.
- The second cherub, namely Holy Spirit God or Christ.
Thus, the mercy seat refers to the Lord Jesus Christ in the glory as the Head, namely the King of all kings or the Heavenly Bridegroom.
- The ark.
Exodus 25:10-11
25:10 " And they shall make an ark of acacia wood; two and a half cubits shall be its length, a cubit and a half its width, and a cubit and a half its height.
25:11 "And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of gold all around.
The ark was made of black acacia wood. It refers to the sinful fleshly men.
The acacia wood was overlaid with gold, so the wood cannot be seen anymore. It refers to the sanctification and renewal of life by the Word, Holy Spirit, and God's love until we can be as perfect as Jesus is.
Exodus 25:21,11
25:21 "You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the Testimony that I will give you.
25:11 "And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of goldall around.
The mercy seat must not move from the ark, so there must be the molding of gold on the ark. We must have the spiritual molding of gold so that we can keep close to and be united with God or we do not move from the love.
The mercy seat does not move from the ark means that we can love God more than anything. We can also love other people as we love ourselves; even we can love our enemy.
The meanings of the spiritual molding of gold are as follows.
- The fear of the Lord.
Psalms 25:14
25:14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- Serving and ministering to God in sincerity and truth.
Joshua 24:14
24:14 " Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
We are faithful or nothing may hinder us. We serve to God in sincerity, meaning that we do not look for any physical advantage, but we can sacrifice.
- Hating sin up to lie.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
Thus, the fear of the Lord means serving and ministering to God in faithfulness and righteousness, faithfulness and sincerity, as well as faithfulness and fervency until the end line, namely our physical death or Jesus' second coming. We serve and minister to God together with our family.
Joshua 24:15
24:15 "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
We must choose the true service and ministry to God, not the false ones. The husband first must choose the true shepherding and the wife with the children will follow him.
The results are as follows.
- We and our family will be used in the edification of the perfect body of Christ or the revival of Holy Spirit at the latter rain until we become the heavenly bride.
Revelation 19:11
19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
Not being used in the edification of the body of Christ, one will be used to edify Babylon.
- God pays attention to us.
Psalms 33:18-19
33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,
33:19 To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
He pays attention to, cares, and struggles for us or for doing these things.
- Saving us with our family from the death.
- Preserving us with our family. Physically, we are preserved in the time of crisis of famine in the world. Spiritually, we are preserved in the midst of spiritual famine like in the book of Amos, so there is always the revelation of the Word.
Psalms 25:14
25:14 The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.
Physically, we are full. Spiritually, we are satisfied. We always give thanks to God and grow towards perfection.
- Honesty.
Proverbs 3:32
3:32 For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel is with the upright.
It means honoring God. Lying means honoring Satan and resisting against God.
The honesty also means that we do not take any bribe. We say "yes" if "yes" and "no" if "no".
There are three things which determine the honesty in our whole life as follows.
- The honesty about the true teaching Word.
Titus 2:7
2:7 in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,
We say 'true' if the teachings are true and obey as well as support such teachings.
We say 'false' if the teachings are false and avoid them, not hating the people.
After we are honest about the teachings, we can be honest in confessing sin. As a result, the Word will lead us to become the example in good works until we can repay good for evil.
One who is not honest about the teachings will pretend to do good things to cover something.
- The honesty in marriage.
Hebrews 13:4
13:4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
We must keep the righteousness in the marriage according to the true teaching Word. There must be no mix marriage and divorce-remarrying.
We must also keep the holiness and unity in the marriage until entering the marriage supper of the Lamb.
- The honesty about finance.
Hebrews 13:5
13:5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
There is the blessing of others we must give honestly in the blessing we receive from God.
- We must return the tithes and offerings to God as the Giver of the blessings.
- We must give to other people who are in need. We give to and visit others, beginning from our household.
- The rest is ours. It is the mercy and trust of God to us that we may use it according to our need and to glorify Him.
Misusing the blessings from God, He will take back the blessings from us. Many times, we can endure in sufferings, but not in the time of being blessed through misusing the blessings. We must be careful.
Hebrews 13:6
13:6 So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
If we are honest in those three things or the mercy seat does not move from the ark, God will pay attention to, care for, help, plead, and give solution of all problems as well as heavenly joy to us. Men as well as Satan cannot touch us.
- The love of the Bridegroom or the perfect one.
How great a fleshly man is, he does not have the love. He only has the fleshly desires, lusts, emotion, and ambition.
Why do we need the love of God?
Romans 8:35-36
8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36 As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
Because how great a man or God's servant is, he is only like a sheep for slaughter whose distance with the death is only a step.
Where do we get the perfect love?
- As for the Lord, Jesus must willingly die on the cross to give the perfect love to us.
- As for us, we must worship God much more.
Worship prayer is the process to tear the flesh with all of its desires and lusts, so we experience the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus, namely obedience until our flesh does not speak anymore. It is the same as loving God more than anything.
John 13:23
13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosomone of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.
John 21:20
21:20 Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"
One who loves God more than anything is leaning on Jesus' bosom, so the death cannot touch him. We are in the embrace of the hands of the Bridegroom.
Isaiah 46:3-4
46:3 "Listen to Me, O house of Jacob, And all the remnant of the house of Israel, Who have been upheld by Me from birth, Who have been carried from the womb:
46:4 Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you.
The result of leaning on Jesus' bosom is that He pays attention to, cares, and struggles for us to do these things.
- 'I will bear'
John 21:21-23
21:21 Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?"
21:22 Jesus said to him, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me."
21:23 Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?"
It means that the love of God is responsible to determine our death and life or preserve us physically in the midst of difficulties in the world as well as make us healthy. We are also preserved spiritually, so we can keep on living in righteousness and holiness.
- 'I will carry'
It means that the loving hands of God bear all of our weariness and heavy burdens on the cross. We can feel peaceful, easy, and light. The loving hands of God are able to solve all impossible problems and wipe away our tears.
- 'Who have been upheld by Me'
It means that the loving hands of God lift us up from falls. We are lifted up from the fall in sin, so we can live in righteousness. The failures are changed into success.
- 'I will deliver'
It means that the loving hands of God save us from the world which will be ruled over by the Antichrist for three and a half years. We are evacuated to the wilderness, far away from the presence of the Antichrist. We are preserved by the Word and the Holy Communion.
The loving hands of God also save us from the hell and bring us to the New Jerusalem. The loving hands of God change and renew us until we are as perfect as He is. We do not stumble in words, but only say "Alleluia" to welcome His coming on the glorious clouds. We sit with Him in the New Jerusalem forever.
God blesses you.
