Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 19:1-5 is about heaven exults over Babylon.
Revelation 19:1
19:1. After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!
After Babylon is defeated and punished--Babylon is thrown down, and is not found anymore; being destroyed in the hell--a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia!" or "Praise the Lord" is heard.
Alleluia is linked with three things as follows:
- The salvation.
- The glory.
- The power.
Ad.1. Alleluia is linked with the salvationRomans 11:25-2611:25. For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
11:26. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
Actually, Jesus dies on the cross just for the Israelites, His chosen people. But a part of them hardens their heart, so there are opportunity and mercy for the Gentiles to believe in Jesus and be saved. Thus, both the Israelites and the Gentiles--the spiritual Israelites or the church of God--are saved by Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
Jesus has died with four major injuries. It is His love for the Gentiles.
Jesus has died, but one of the soldiers pierces His side with a spear. It is the fifth injury, namely His mercy for the Gentiles.
Romans 11:21-2211:21. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either.
11:22. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off.
The Gentiles have experienced God's mercy, so they must keep living in it.
The facts of living in God's mercy are as follows:
- Repenting.
Romans 2:4
2:4. Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?
We stop sinning and return to God. It means being dead to sin.
We can realize, regret, and confess our sin to God and others by the encouragement of the Word that shows our sin, so all sins are forgiven by Jesus' blood. It is God's longsuffering.
God has not come yet and we still live in the world, so all sins can be forgiven. It is God's forbearance.
Do not sin anymore after being forgiven!
1 Peter 2:1
2:1. Therefore, laying aside all malice(1), all deceit(2), hypocrisy(3), envy(4), and all evil speaking(5),
Repenting means laying aside the five major sins because they have been washed by the fifth injury of Jesus.
Titus 3:5
3:5. not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
We have repented, then we must experience the water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism.
Romans 6:4
6:4. Therefore we were buriedwith Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raisedfrom the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The true water baptism is that one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life or the heavenly one, namely Holy Spirit baptism or the fullness of Holy Spirit or the anointing of Holy Spirit.
1 Peter 3:20-21
3:20. who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.
3:21. There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
The water baptism is linked with four couples who are saved from God's punishment in the age of Noah. It means that it is God's mercy if our marriage can enter the true water baptism.
1 Peter 3:21-22
3:21. There is also an antitype which now saves us--baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good consciencetoward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
3:22. who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him.
The result of the true water baptism is that we receive a good conscience, namely the obedient heart. We can receive the power of resurrection of Jesus that defeats sins, so we can live in righteousness. The power of resurrection of Jesus also defeats the temptation, so we are helped, and defeats the death, so we are saved up to eternal life.
If we die, the power of resurrection will raise us in the body of glory like Jesus.
Romans 2:5
2:5. But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,
If one hardens his heart, so he does not want to repent and enter the true water baptism, he will face the severity of God. He is under God's punishment from now on until He comes a second time, so he is destroyed forever.
- We must become the priests and kings who are faithful, fervent, and responsible.
1 Peter 2:9-10
2:9. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
2:10. who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
Actually, only the Israelites can become the priests and kings. But by God's mercy, the Gentiles can become the priests and kings too.
The priests and kings must live in God's mercy.
The facts found in it are as follows:
- Not losing heart or stumbling.
2 Corinthians 4:1
4:1. Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart.
Not losing heart means that we do not get disappointed and desperate as well as leave God but keep on ministering to God faithfully and fervently according to the ministry that God gives to us.
Not being faithful, but being in wickedness and laziness means rejecting God's mercy, so one will face the severity of God to punish him up to perdition.
2 Peter 1:10-11
1:10. Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble;
1:11. for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We may not stumble in the ministry because of the thing that makes us unfaithful up to leaving the ministry. For example, Judas Iscariot stumbles in the will of money. Do not stumble because of sin, others, and so on! Stumbling means losing the entrance into heaven. He will face the severity of God to punish him up to perdition.
If we minister to God faithfully and fervently until the finish line, we will receive an entrance into the heavenly kingdom.
We must return to the cross of Jesus, so we do not stumble. It means confessing sin and forgiving one another.
- Ministering to God earnestly.
Romans 12:1
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
Ministering to God means not looking for something, but presenting all things to Him, namely time, power, mind, and money until we present our bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to Him.
- A living bodymeans being controlled by Holy Spirit in the perseverance in committing the general service (the Golden Candlestick).
Romans 8:13
8:13. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
Holy Spirit puts to death the deeds of the body, so we can live in righteousness. We do not commit sin anymore, but we minister to God faithfully and fervently.
- A holy bodymeans being controlled by God's Word in the perseverance in committing the bible study service and Holy Communion (the Table of Showbread).
John 15:3
15:3. "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
'the word which I have spoken' is the Word whose secret is revealed through one verse that explains the other verses in the Bible.
The teaching Word and Holy Communion purify doubly, so we can live in holiness.
- An acceptable bodyto God means being controlled by God's love in the perseverance in committing the prayer service (the Golden Altar of Incense).
Without God's love, all things will be in vain. It does not please God. It is not eternal but destroyed.
So, living in God's mercy means living in the sheepfold. We are shepherded well and correctly.
Romans 11:17
11:17. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree,
If the Gentiles are not shepherded, they will become wild.
Mark 5:1-4
5:1. Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes.
5:2. And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombsa man with an unclean spirit,
5:3. who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains,
5:4. because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him.
The facts of being wild are as follows:
- Living in cemetery delightfully. The cemetery refers to the extension of the hand of death to put to death our spirituality up to perdition.
Mark 5:5
5:5. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying outand cutting himself with stones.
- Crying out. It means that one does not experience the heavenly satisfaction, so he disturbs others by gossiping, slandering, et cetera.
- 'cutting himself with stones' means as follows:
- The deed that destroys the temple of God or the body of Christ, namely smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse, suicide, et cetera.
- A husband who does not love his wife, namely saying or doing bitterly toward her. A wife does not submit to her husband.
- The deeds that are based on the hardness of heart.
Mark 5:13
5:13. And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
If one does not want to enter the Holy Place whose size is 20 x 10 x 10= 2000, he will enter the two thousand swine. It means entering the building of Babylon. He is used by Babylon. He does the sin of Babylon up to perdition.
- We experience the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus.
Romans 12:1-2
12:1. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
12:2. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
It starts from the renewal of heart to become obedient until the flesh does not speak anymore like Jesus who becomes obedient to the point of death on the cross.
Obedience is the same as stretching out our hands to God. We surrender all of our weakness and infirmity until we surrender our whole life to God.
As a result, God stretches out His merciful hand to do the miracles.
1 Kings 17:11-16
17:11. And as she was going to get it, he called to her and said, "Please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand."
17:12. So she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die."
17:13. And Elijah said to her, "Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son.
17:14. "For thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the LORD sends rain on the earth.'"
17:15. So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days.
17:16. The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the LORD which He spoke by Elijah.
For example, in the crisis, a widow of Zarephath was obedient when Elijah asked a morsel of bread.
The Gentiles often do not obey both in the blessing and crisis because of the things as follows:
- Hearing the strange voice.
- Egoism, namely one just loves or prioritizes himself, but he does not love God and others.
- Fear or anxiety because of the worldly thing.
The test of obedience happens when God asks a morsel of bread. It means that we are small and powerless, but if we obey to God, our life, we will feed God or please His heart, so we are well pleasing before Him.
As a result, God merciful hand is able to protect and take care of our life in the midst of the difficulties of the world.
Spiritually, we are protected from the false teaching, so we keep on holding fast the true teaching Word. We are also protected from sins, so we keep on living in righteousness and holiness.
1 Kings 17:17,21-24
17:17. Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him.
17:21. And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the LORD and said, "O LORD my God, I pray, let this child's soul come back to him."
17:22. Then the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived.
17:23. And Elijah took the child and brought him down from the upper room into the house, and gave him to his mother. And Elijah said, "See, your son lives!"
17:24. Then the woman said to Elijah, "Now by this I know that you are a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in your mouth is the truth."
A young man must enter the Holy Place, namely the perseverance in committing the three kinds of main service to God.
God's merciful hand is able to raise the dead thing. The spiritual death becomes life in righteousness and holiness. The destruction in marriage and children will be restored. There is the beautiful and successful future. The impossible thing becomes possible. God's merciful hand is able to take away all of impossibilities. We can worship God.
It continues until Jesus comes a second time that we are changed to become as perfect as He is to greet His second coming by saying: 'Alleluia' on the glorious clouds.
God blesses us.
