Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 5:1
5:1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne a scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals.
The scroll in the right hand of God on the throne of the heavenly kingdom refers to the Bible we have in the world. It is the revelation of God to His servants whom He uses.
The Word of God is written on two places in Exodus chapter 20-23 as follows.
- Exodus 20:1-17.
The Word was written on the two tablets of stone. It is written in our heart and mind now.
- Exodus 20:22 - Exodus 23.
The Word of God was written on the scrolls of epistles. It is written on the pages of our life or our conduct.
Thus,
the Word is written in our whole life.
The result of the Word's being written on our heart and mind or the two tablets of stone is as follows.
- Exodus 20:1-17 is divided into two parts as follows.
- The first tablet contained the first to the fourth commandments which arrange our relationship with God through the service, ministry, and worship to Him.
Exodus 20:3-11
20:3 " You shall have no other gods before Me.
20:4 " You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;
20:5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me,
20:6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.
20:7 " You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
20:8 " Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates.
20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day.
If our relationship with God is good or our service, ministry, and worship to Him are good or we love Him more than anything, we will get the first joy.
- The second tablet contains six commandments which arrange our relationship with other people.
Exodus 20:12-17
20:12 " Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.
20:13 " You shall not murder.
20:14 " You shall not commit adultery.
20:15 " You shall not steal.
20:16 " You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
20:17 " You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."
The fifth commandmentis Honor your father and your motherthat arranges the relationship with our closest neighbor, namely between children and parents or parents in law and the daughters or sons in law. The children must obey the parents. The parents must not make the children lose heart by forcing their will which is not in line with the Word to the children or supporting the mistake of the children.
Having a good relationship with the parents is the same as loving others like we love ourselves. As a result, we get the second joy.
The sixth commandmentis You shall not murderthat arranges the relationship between brothers, sisters, brothers in law, and sisters in law. If the relationship is good, there will be no hatred. We can love other people like we love ourselves. As a result, we will get the third joy.
The seventh commandmentis You shall not commit adulterythat arranges the relationship between the husband and the wife in the marriage. They must keep the righteousness of the marriage according to the Word as well as the holiness from the beginning of the marriage until the end. They must also keep the unity and faithfulness of the marriage. The good relationship between the husband and the wife is the same as loving other people like we love ourselves and we will get the fourth joy.
The eighth commandmentis You shall not stealand the ninthis You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. The tenthis You shall not covet the possession of others. They arrange our relationship in society. If it is good or we love others like we love ourselves, we will get the fifth joy.
The five kinds of joy come from the five wounds of Jesus on the cross.
- The two tablets of stone or the Ten Commandments refer to the Law of Love.
Mark 12:28-34
12:28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, "Which is the first commandment of all?"
12:29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is: 'Hear, O Israel, the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
12:30 'And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.
12:31 "And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no other commandment greater than these."
12:32 So the scribe said to Him, "Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He.
12:33 "And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one's neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices."
12:34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." But after that no one dared question Him.
It means that we will experience the love of God if our heart and mind are written with the Word. The facts found in it are as follows.
- Loving God with all of our body, soul, and spirit. It means that we love God more than all things.
The proof is that we can fight for our service and ministry to God more than all things in the world. It means that we are faithful and fervent in spirit in serving and ministering to God until the end line. We must do that because God has loved us first and fought for our service and ministry to Him.
In the Old Testament, God fought for the service and ministry of the house of Israel to Him through the ten plagues.
Hebrews 9:14
9:14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
He fought for the service and ministry of the Gentiles to Him through Jesus' death on the cross. We have the debt of blood which cannot be paid by anything when we prioritize the worldly matters more than the service to God.
1 Timothy 4:8-10
4:8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
4:9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance.
4:10 For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
Therefore, we must fight for our service and ministry to God more than all things. Why?
- Because all things in the world are limited and useless. They will reach the tomb only.
- But, the service and ministry to God are useful for our present life, the future, up to the eternal one.
- Loving other people like we love ourselves.
Matthew 7:12
7:12 "Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
Romans 13:8
13:8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
The proof is that we do not owe anything to others, especially the debt of sin. We do not harm others, but repay good for evil.
The fleshly men have no love, but emotion, ambition, and so on. Where can we get the love of God?
1 John 4:9-10
4:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
We get the love of God from the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. We will get it tonight through the Holy Communion.
How can we get the love of God from the cross?
John 21:15-17
21:15So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
21:16 He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep."
21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.
Through the true and good shepherding system as follows.
- We must be shepherded to the one true teaching Word.
- We must always dwell in the shepherding pen or the Holy Place.
We must pass the narrow door to enter the shepherding pen. It means the crucifixion to our flesh, but there is an abundant life up to the eternal one behind it.
John 10:9-10
10:9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
There are three kinds of equipment in the Holy Place that refer to the perseverance in doing three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Serviceto have the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the gifts.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communionto get the fellowship with the Son of God in the Word and the sacrifice of Christ.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Worship Prayer Serviceto get the fellowship with Father God in the love.
Our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God in the shepherding pen, so the trinity of Satan cannot touch us. As a result, we will get these things.
- Serenity and peace. There is no more fear, distress, or anxiety. We do not wander, so we are not weary or heavy laden. All things become easy and light.
- Abundant preservation from the Great Shepherd, so we always give thanks to Him.
- Repetitive and continual sanctification until we can be contrite or have broken heart. The target of shepherding is the heart and mind.
Having the broken heart means that we confess our sins to God and others and forgive one another. As a result, the blood of Jesus removes our sin and we get the love of God.
John 21:18-19
21:18 "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
21:19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."
Having the broken heart also means that we stretch out our hands to God or obey Him. Obeying God is the same as experiencing His love.
John 14:23
14:23 Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
Stretching out the hands to God is the same as worshiping Him and confessing that we are only the clay and the sheep for slaughter which cannot do anything. We only surrender fully to God and He will stretch out His two merciful hands as if giving us the two tablets of stone. The results are as follows.
- To destroy the golden calf or to face the valley of darkness.
Exodus 32:4, 9
32:4 And he received the gold from their hand, and he fashioned it with an engraving tool, and made a molded calf. Then they said, "This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!"
32:9 And the LORD said to Moses, "I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people!
The golden calf refers to the hard heart or the self-truth. It means that one has sinned, but he does not confess his sin. Moreover, he blames others. Let us have a meek heart, confess our sin, and return to the true teaching Word.
The golden calf also refers to the sins up to the peak, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage. Let us tonight be meek and leave the sins.
The golden calf also refers to the idolatry, stinginess, and greediness.
- To give the heavenly wisdom or to face the valley of tears, difficulties, failures, and impossibilities.
Mark 12:30-34
The wisdom of heaven deletes all questions. It means that we have the guarantee of assurance from God to preserve our life in the midst of difficulties in the world up to the time when the antichrist reigns over the world. We have the guarantee of assurance to solve all impossible problems. There is no more tear, but heavenly joy which cannot be influenced by the world.
- To wait for Jesus' second coming. This is about the new two tablets of stone.
Exodus 34:29
34:29 Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses' hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shonewhile he talked with Him.
The skin of the face of Moses shone means that there is a renewal from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones as Jesus is. It begins from our heart which is honest and believing. Our face will be cheerful regardless of anything we must face. On the contrary, the face will be sad, pale, and bad if one is not honest or believing. Being honest and believing, we become the house of prayer. The physical miracle will happen if the spiritual one happens. It continues until Jesus' second coming that our face shines like the sun to welcome Him on the glorious clouds. We sit with Him on the throne of the heavenly kingdom forever.
Isaiah 52:13-14
52:13 Behold, My Servant shall deal prudently; He shall be exalted and extolled and be very high.
52:14 Just as many were astonished at you, So His visage was marred more than any man, And His form more than the sons of men;
The guarantee is the sacrifice of Christ on the cross. He has been so marred to make our face cheerful.
God blesses us.
