Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:1-8 can be divided into three parts as follows:
- [verse 1] The new heaven and earth.
- [verse 2-3] The new man.
- [verse 4-8] The new atmosphere.
- [verse 4] The atmosphere without death.
- [verse 5-6] The atmosphere of heavenly satisfaction.
- [verse 7] The atmosphere of victory.
- [verse 8] The atmosphere of the truth, holiness, and perfection.
As a result, we can enter the New Jerusalem.
We learn about the new atmosphere, namely the fourth.
Revelation 21:8
21:8 "But the cowardly(1), unbelieving(2), abominable(3), murderers(4), sexually immoral(5), sorcerers(6), idolaters(7), and all liars(8)shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
The eight sins which drown men to the hell are as follows:
(1)
the cowardly,(2)
unbelieving--> are resisting against the truth.
(3)
abominable, (4)
murderers, (5)
sexually immoral, (6)
sorcerers, (7)
idolaters--> are resisting against the holiness.
(8)
liars--> is resisting against the perfection.
We are learning about the
idolaters.
The three meanings of idolatry are as follows:
- Worshiping another gods than God as follows:
- The trees, stones, et cetera.
- Man who is considered as god because of having good position, riches, holiness, et cetera.
Acts 14:10-11
14:10. said with a loud voice, "Stand up straight on your feet!" And he leaped and walked.
14:11. Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, "The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men!"
Acts 12:22-23
12:22. And the people kept shouting, "The voice of a god and not of a man!"
12:23. Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.
- The angel because of things which he has not seen, not by the encouragement of the Word.
Colossians 2:18
2:18. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
- Satan, to receive riches or the physical blessing.
Matthew 4:8-9
4:8. Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
4:9. And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me."
- The traditional worship, including the tradition that is not in line with the Word.
John 4:20-21
4:20. "Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship."
4:21. Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
- Worshiping on Mount Gerizim, near Samaria.
Deuteronomy 11:29
11:29. "Now it shall be, when the LORD your God has brought you into the land which you go to possess, that you shall put the blessing on Mount Gerizimand the curse on Mount Ebal.
Joshua 8:33
8:33. Then all Israel, with their elders and officers and judges, stood on either side of the ark before the priests, the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the LORD, the stranger as well as he who was born among them. Half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.
It means worshiping for getting the physical blessings.
- Worshiping in Jerusalem--there is the spirit of selling-buying in the temple of God. It means worshiping with the heart which is like the den of thieves that is full of the seven spirits of evil, uncleanness, and bitterness.
Matthew 15:19
15:19. "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts(1), murders(2), adulteries(3), fornications(4), thefts(5), false witness(6), blasphemies(7).
Consequently, his lamp goes out, so the heart and eyes are dark; even he lives blindly.
Matthew 2:8,13
2:8. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search carefully for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also."
2:13. Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him."
It is like the prayer of Herod. He said that he wanted to worship Jesus, but actually he wanted to destroy Him.
- The false prayer to the Antichrist.
Revelation 13:1,13-15
13:1. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
13:13. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
13:14. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who was wounded by the sword and lived.
13:15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
It is encouraged by the false teaching. The fact is just prioritizing the physical prosperity and entertainment but without purification, so one keeps committing sins and the peak up to perdition. It is like the Israelites who had experienced many miracles but rejected the manna.
The Antichrist is with the power of Mammon or money.
1 Timothy 6:9-10
6:9. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition.
6:10. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faithin their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
The process of the false prayer to the Antichrist or Mamon is as follows:
- Having the will of money. If it is not purified by the sword of the Word, it will become the lust.
- Loving money. Money is the thing in the heart, so there is no place for God--not loving God. The fact is hunting money up to leaving the ministry and losing faith. He strays from the faith and leaves God.
- Becoming greedy and stingy. It means worshiping the Antichrist.
Stinginess means that one cannot give.
Greediness means that one steals the possession of God and others.
Consequently, he is marked with the triple six, so he becomes the same as the Antichrist. His body, soul, and spirit are the flesh, so he appears as the beast that does not have the heart, mind, and feeling. He just follows his lust of the flesh, so he commits sins up to the peak, namely the sins of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage. It continues until he is destroyed with the Antichrist.
The way out is that God helps through the preaching of the true teaching Word that teaches about the tithe and special offering.
The tithe cuts the greediness or stealing.
The special offerings--giving for God and others who are in need--cuts the stinginess.
Exodus 25:1-2,8
25:1. Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
25:2. "Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring Me an offering. From everyone who gives it willingly with his heart you shall take My offering.
25:8. "And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.
The tithe and special offerings are especially used for the building of the body of Christ, so God may dwell among us.
Exodus 36:5-7
36:5. and they spoke to Moses, saying, "The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the LORD commanded us to do."
36:6. So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, "Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary." And the people were restrained from bringing,
36:7. for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done -- indeed too much.
There is the time limit of God for us to enter the ministry of the building of the body of Christ. Someday there will be no chance to offer the offering to be used in the building of the body of Christ.
That is why from now on we must use God's longsuffering in the short time to be active in the ministry of the building of the body of Christ according to the ministry that God gives to us.
The building of the body of Christ starts from marriage, shepherding, inter-shepherding until the Israelites and Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ. It is the same as placing Jesus as the head.
The closest relationship between the head and the body is in the neck. It refers to the true prayer. The facts found in it are as follows:
- We just worship Lord Jesus Christ, no one else.
Matthew 4:10
4:10. Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'"
- The true prayer is a reflection of the worship in Heaven, namely the prayer by saying: 'Alleluia!'
Revelation 19:1,3-4,6
19:1. After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!
19:3 Again they said, "Alleluia! Her smoke rises up forever and ever!"
19:4 And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen! Alleluia!"
19:6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
- Worshiping God in spirit and truth. It means being encouraged by the Word in the anointing of Holy Spirit.
John4:23
4:23. "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
It is the same as the Word whose secret is revealed or the sword of the Word that purifies our heart, deed, and words, so we live in holiness.
So, the true prayer is encouraged by the holiness.
- Worshiping in humility.
Psalm 95:6-7
95:6. Oh come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.
95:7. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice:
We confess that we are unworthy--having many sins--, incapable, and worthless.
The facts found in it are as follows:
- [verse 6] We confess that we are just mortar, so we can worship Jesus, the Maker. We surrender ourselves in the merciful hand of the Maker.
Romans 9:20-24
9:20. But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, "Why have you made me like this?"
9:22. What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction,
9:23. and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory,
9:24. even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
As a result, the hand of God is able to create us to become the vessel of glory, namely the servant of God who is used to glorify Him.
God's merciful hand is able to make us become the vessel of mercy. It means that we live by God's merciful hand that cannot be limited by anything. The five loaves and the two fish were for feeding the five thousand men. We are taken care of abundantly until we give thanks to God as well as become the blessing for others.
God's merciful hand is able to make all things well. The thing that has been destroyed can be good.
- [verse 7] We confess that we are the sheep for the slaughter that there is but a step between us and death. We surrender our life to the Great Shepherd, namely we have the perseverance in the shepherding.
Romans 8:35-37
8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
8:36. As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
8:37. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
The merciful hand of the Great Shepherd is able to give us extra power, so we become strong and of good courage. It means that we do not get disappointed and desperate as well as leave God in facing anything (the seven things). We become the burning lamp, namely God's witness.
God's merciful hand is able to give the victory over stronger enemy. He finishes all of impossible problems.
- We confess that we are just a powerless baby.
Matthew 21:15-16
21:15. But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant
21:16. and said to Him, "Do You hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes. Have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise'?"
We always desire the shepherding Word.
We have the sincere and honest heart. It is the strong base to receive God's miracles.
God leads us in the steps of miracle. He gives the beautiful and successful future up to perfection.
God blesses us.
