From Delayed Broadcast of Fellowship Service in Tondano
Luke 1:37
1:37 "For with God nothing will be impossible."The theme explains the miracle of Christmas, namely Mary could conceive and give birth the baby Jesus without any husband.
There are two great miracles as follows.
- God was born to be the same as men in Jesus.
The first coming of Jesus is to save the sinful men through His sacrifice on the cross.
All great things in the world such as intelligence, riches, good position, and so on cannot save the sinful men. Therefore, Jesus, the only sinless man, must come to the world and die on the cross to save the sinful men.
Ephesians 1:13
1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
Proverbs 25:25
25:25 As cold water to a weary soul, So is good newsfrom a far country.
We know Jesus who was born as the Savior through the Good News.
Whatever sin men have, they will be saved if they willingly receive the Gospel of Salvation or the Good News.
The signs are as follows.
- Believing in Jesus.
- Repenting or being dead to sin, especially lie and hatred.
- Being baptized of water and Holy Spirit.
The heavens are opened and we receive the new or heavenly life, namely the one in righteousness.
Mary is chosen to welcome the first coming of Jesus.
The reasons are as follows.
- There are the willingness and faithfulness of Mary to conceive the baby Jesus, regardless of any risk she must take.
Luke 1:31,38
1:31 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.
1:38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
- Virgin refers to a holy life.
Luke 1:26-27
1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
1:27 to a virginbetrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary.
- Getting the grace.
Luke 1:30
1:30 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
Luke 1:46-49
1:46 And Mary said: "My soul magnifies the Lord,
1:47 And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.
1:48 For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant; For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed.
1:49 For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name.
As a result, Mary lives in the miraculous plan of God, so there is the heavenly joy in the world up to the eternal life.
- The sinful men are being reborn to be as glorious as Jesus is.
We become one perfect body of Christ or the heavenly bride who is ready to welcome Jesus' second coming in the glory as the King of all kings or the Heavenly Bridegroom. We enter the marriage supper of the Lamb or the perfect marriage of Christ and the congregation.
Revelation 19:9
19:9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."
The marriage supper of the Lamb refers to the peak of God's beautiful, miraculous, and joyful plan. We meet Jesus on the glorious clouds.
Revelation 21:5
21:5 Then He who sat on the throne said, "Behold, I make all things new." And He said to me, "Write, for these words are true and faithful."
Afterwards, we enter the Paradise and the New Jerusalem eternally.
We must keep our physical marriage in the world so that it can reach the spiritual perfect one.
The things which must be kept are as follows.
- The righteousness. The marriage must be in line with the Word.
- The holiness. Do not fall in sin from the beginning of the marriage.
- The unity.
How can we know that Jesus will come a second time?
2 Corinthians 4:3-4
4:3 But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing,
4:4 whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
Matthew 25:6
25:6 "And at midnight a cry was heard: 'Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!'
We know it through the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, the Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword, the solid food, or the Bride Tidings.
It preaches the second coming of Jesus in the glory to sanctify and change our life until we are as perfect as He is. We become the bride of God who is ready to welcome Jesus' second coming.
We learn from Mary about the requirements to welcome Jesus' second coming as follows.
- The willingness and faithfulness to conceive the baby Jesus, regardless of any risk we must take.
John 1:1,14
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The baby Jesus refers to the true teaching Word, which is explained by a verse that explains other verses in the Bible.
The willingness and faithfulness to conceive the baby Jesus means as follows.
- We must have the willingness to receive the true teaching Word.
We can hear, understand, believe, and obey the Word.
Acts 5:27-29
5:27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest asked them,
5:28 saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man's blood on us!"
5:29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: "We ought to obey God rather than men.
We can obey the Word until the flesh does not speak anymore.
- We must have the faithfulnessto hold fast to the true teaching Word. Eve lost the atmosphere of paradise and entered the one of curse when she leaved the true Word.
Thus, we must be the faithful and obedientservant of God.
2 Samuel 22:31
22:31 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
If we willingly conceive the Word, it will be the shield of our life from the destruction in marriage, disasters, and the antichrist. We can live in peace. All things become easy, light, safe, and peaceful.
- Living in holiness.
John 15:1-4
15:1 "I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.
15:2 "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
15:4 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
The requirement of being holy and bearing fruits is that we must be the branch that attaches to the true Vine.
It means that we must be shepherded to the true teaching Word. The proofs are as follows.
- Faithfulness in the service and ministry to God until the end.
- We are sanctifiedby the words of Jesus, namely the revelation of the Word through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible.
John 15:3
15:3 "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
What must be sanctified? The heart must be sanctified from evil and unclean lusts as well as the bitterness of heart. Then, the deeds and words must be sanctified. We say "yes" if "yes" and "no" if "no".
The result of the faithfulness and holiness isbearing the sweet fruits. "My Father is the vinedresser" means that God preserves our life by His mercy until we get the eternal life.
- Receiving the grace of God.
Luke 1:30
1:30 Then the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, foryou have found favor with God.
1 Peter 2:19
2:19 For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully.
The grace is the same as the cross.
The fact found in it is the suffering in the flesh without any sin.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
God lets us experience the cross so that we receive the spirit of glory.
Luke 1:38
1:38 Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.
The spirit of glory changes us from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus. We can be faithful and believe in the Lord. There are no more fear and anxiety. We keep on believing and entrusting our life fully to God. The impossible can be possible.
For example, Mary, the sister of Lazarus. Together with her sister and brother, they were great youth whom Jesus loved. Nevertheless, Lazarus had died four days. It refers to rottenness, destruction, and impossibilities.
John 11:31-32
11:31 Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, "She is going to the tomb to weep there."
11:32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."
The wrong attitude is weeping, namely blaming God and men.
The true attitude is in Mary, namely falling down at Jesus' feet or believing and fully entrusting our life to God. As a result, the dead can be made alive, the thing that has produced stench can be made fragrant, and the impossible can be made possible.
Mark 5:21-24,35-36
5:21 Now when Jesus had crossed over again by boat to the other side, a great multitude gathered to Him; and He was by the sea.
5:22 And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet
5:23 and begged Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live."
5:24 So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.
5:35 While He was still speaking, some came from the ruler of the synagogue's house who said, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the Teacher any further?"
5:36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, "Do not be afraid; only believe."
One of the rulers of the synagogue who was great could fall at Jesus' feet to receive the true teaching Word and be restored.
A woman with the flow of blood for twelve years could believe only to God by saying "If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well."and miracle happened.
God blesses you.
