Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 8:1-5
8:1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
8:2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets.
8:3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
8:4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand.
8:5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.
This is about the opening if the seventh seal or the seventh condemnation. It consists of two parts as follows.
- Verse 1-4, namely the atmosphere of silence or rest that increases up to the silence for half an hour in heaven.
- Verse 5, namely the atmosphere of shakings in the world that increase up to the destruction and perdition forever in the hell.
ad. 2.
The atmosphere of shakings.
Why does God let it happen?
Hebrews 12:2612:26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven."
He lets the shakings happen to separate the shaken ones from the unshaken ones. The shaken refer to ones who do not endure, but fall from the faith. On the contrary, the unshaken keep on enduring.
Two people on a bed or a husband and the wife can be separated. Nowadays, the chaff and the grain seem to be the same because they have not been winnowed yet. After there is a winnowing, there will be a clear separation between the shaken chaff and the mature grain.
Ones who are shaken will be shaken more until they are destroyed to perish together with world in the hell. On the contrary, ones who are not shaken will get the silence that increases up to the one for half an hour in heaven and inherit the unshaken heavenly kingdom.
1 Thessalonians 5:1-8
5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.
5:2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
5:3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
5:4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.
5:5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness.
5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
5:7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.
5:8 But let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
The shakings happen in the world when all things are calm, fluent, successful, and peaceful. For example, tsunami happens suddenly when all things are calm, the shakings in economy, and so on. The attitude of God's servants or sons is often wrong when all things are calm, namely living in the darkness of the night by spiritually sleeping, getting drunk, and being paralyzed.
Ephesians 5:11-17
5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.
5:12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
5:13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
5:14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light."
5:15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise,
5:16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Spiritual sleepingmeans not understanding the will of the Lord or the true teaching Word; even one does not want to understand it.
The signs are as follows.
- Being a divisive manor one who does not want to receive the rebuke, advice, and correction by the true teaching Word.
Titus 3:10-11
3:10 Reject a divisive manafter the first and second admonition,
3:11 knowing that such a person is warped and sinning, being self-condemned.
Such person will be warped and sinful. Moreover, he does the peak of sins, namely the ones concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage. He does the will of Satan because he does not want to know the will of the Lord.
In such condition, he is not in joy, but condemnation until he enters the hell.
- Being an unwise man, He hears the Word, but does not obey it.
Ephesians 5:17
5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Matthew 7:26-27
7:26 "But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand:
7:27 "and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall."
Consequently, he cannot endure until there is great fall. He falls and cannot rise anymore. He lives in sins up to the peak and perishes forever. Resisting against the Word, one cannot repent anymore.
Ephesians 5:18
5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
Spiritual drunkennessmeans being without the anointing of Holy Spirit until one fulfills the fleshly desires and wills.
Revelation 3:15-17
3:15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
3:16 "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
3:17 "Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing' --and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--
The signs are in the church of the Laodiceans or the Gentiles on the last days as follows.
- Feeling so strong or able because of relying on the physical things such as riches and intelligence. Consequently, they start ignoring the spiritual things and feel that they do not need God anymore.
They get drunk spiritually when they become brave to trade the spiritual things, which are eternal, with the physical ones, which are temporary.
- Being satisfied only by the physical things, especially the physical prosperity and entertainment. They ignore the spiritual things and have no sanctification. They are spiritually poor, blind, and naked, but they do not care about it.
Consequently, the spirituality is lukewarm and being vomited by God,
It means as follows.
- Not being fervent in spirit anymore in the service and ministry to God. The service and ministry o God are done only as a habit, so they do not need to pray before doing it. It is the same as having no fire or wine of Holy Spirit.
- Having no peace, but only the fire of the flesh and quarrel.
- The service and ministry cannot please God, so they are dissatisfied. They always murmur, grumble, slander, and look for the worldly satisfaction. Their life is the same as the vomit. They fall and rise in sins up to the peak. It means being separated forever from God. They also put the worldly satisfaction in the church. There is no attention anymore to the spiritual things. They do not long for the spiritual thing anymore; even they suppose it as a burden.
John 5:5-8
5:5 Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
5:6 When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?"
5:7 The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."
5:8 Jesus said to him, "Rise, take up your bed and walk."
Spiritual paralysismeans having no relationship with the love of God.
The Lord asked
"Do you want to be made well?"as the statement of His love.
The signs of the spiritual paralysis are as follows.
- Unfaithfulness until one is not active anymore in serving and ministering to God.
- Only hoping to other people, not to God.
The time when other people do not pay attention to us is the opportunity for us to fully pay attention to and hope God only.
The consequences are as follows.
- Easily being proud and disappointed as well as stumbling and leaving God. One who easily stumbles is he who hopes to men many times.
- Lying. It means falling in the sins of uncleanness and having problems in the marriage and children.
The biggest problem in the world is about sins, marriage, and children which happens because there is no love, so there is a distance between us and God until Satan enters.
The consequences of spiritually sleeping, getting drunk, and being paralyzed are as follows.
- The shakings will come suddenly and cause the distress as the main spiritual and physical killer. One becomes spiritually dry and dead, so he ignores the spiritual things until he enters the second death in the hell.
- The coming of the Lord becomes as a thief, who comes suddenly. Ones who spiritually sleep, get drunk, and become paralyzed will be left and destroyed to perish forever on the doomsday.
2 Peter 3:10
3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
right attitudes of the servants of God are as follows.
1 Thessalonians 5:6
5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober.
Ephesians 5:13-145:13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
5:14 Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light."
We must watch and be sober or live in the light and enter the spiritual revival.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- We must always understand what the will of the Lord isor the true teaching Word and obey it. It refers to the Table of Showbread in Tabernacle or perseverance in doing the Bible Study Service with Holy Communion.
Ephesians 5:17
5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
Thus, actually the spiritual revival starts from now on when we do the Bible Study Service with Holy Communion or get the fellowship with the Son of God in the Word and Holy Communion.
- We must be filled up and overflow in the wine of Holy Spirit. It refers to the Golden Candlestick in Tabernacle or perseverance in doing the General Service, including the fellowship service. We get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts, so our lamp keeps on burning or we keep faithful and fervent in spirit. We are not lame.
Ephesians 5:18
5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit,
If we live in the light, there must be the joy of Holy Spirit and regularity or orderliness like the regular flame of a lamp that does not explode. We never get drunk anymore. We do not need to look for any satisfaction in the world because we have had the heavenly joy.
- We praise God, give thanks, and worship Him. It refers to the Golden Altar of Incense in Tabernacle or the perseverance in doing the Prayer Service. We get the fellowship with Father God in His love.
Ephesians 5:19-20
5:19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,
5:20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,
The encourage of the love of God makes us active. We do not spiritually become paralyzed. By the encouragement of money, there will be many reasons not to be active until one becomes spiritually paralyzed.
If there is the love of God in the marriage, there will be no problem for sure.
The three things refer to the perseverance in the shepherding.
Thus, experiencing the spiritual revival means being shepherded as follows.
- Always dwelling in the pen.
- Always hearing and obeying the voice of the Shepherd or the shepherding Word.
In the shepherding, our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God. The results are as follows.
- The trinity of Satan cannot touch us, so we can live in serenity and peace.
Satan can suddenly enter when we do not stay in the pen.
- Our body, soul, and spirit are sanctified continually by the repeated shepherding Word until we become humble and have the fear of the Lord.
Ephesians 5:21
5:21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
John 21:15
21:15 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
Being humble means being grieved or able to realize, regret, and confess our sins to God and others. After being forgiven, we do not repeat the sins anymore, but live in righteousness and holiness up to the perfection. The humble, not the people who easily blame others, will be used by God.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saintsfor the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
Only the holy people will be used by God. We will be equipped with the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit.
Revelation 14:7
14:7 saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water."
Fearing the Lord means glorifying Him in every step of our life until we can worship Him.
If we live in quarrel and sins, we will make the heart of God, parents, and pastor grieved. On the contrary, one who glorifies God will be the light of testimony.
Worshiping God is the same as looking at His face, crying out, talking, and surrendering to Him like Peter.
John 21:18
21:18 "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
The examples and results of living in spiritual revival are as follows.
- Exodus 14:15-16,21
14:15 And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cryto Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.
14:16 "But lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it. And the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
14:21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.
Moses had cried and grumbled to God. He was God's great servant. Nevertheless, he had a weakness. Who are we? We must be watchful.
He faced the Red Sea in front of him, Pharaoh behind him, and the wilderness on his right side and left side which could not be passed. Such thing refers to the spiritual and physical weakness and impossibility.
Praise the Lord! Finally, Moses, who was shepherded, could stretch out his hands to God. He did not cry and grumble anymore, but cried out and surrendered to God. As a result, God stretched His hands to divide the Red Sea or solve all impossible problems right in its time. All problems are solved and there is beautiful future until entering the spiritual Canaan.
- Psalm 141:1-2
141:1 <<A Psalm of David.>>LORD, I cry out to You; Make haste to me! Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You.
141:2 Let my prayer be set before You as incense, The lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.
King David was shepherded, so he could lift up his hands to God.
He had a physical weakness in facing the stronger enemies, including Goliath.
He had also the spiritual weakness, namely falling in sin with Bathsheba because of his negligence.
Therefore, do not be negligent in every revival.
God will stretch out His hands to make war instead of us and defeat all of our enemies who are stronger than us. God will forgive, restore, and use us regardless of any sin we have done as long as we confess it to Him.
- Peter also stretched out his hands to God.
He has a fleshly characteristic, namely getting doubtful, denying the Lord, having no love, and being in deterioration and drowning. He refers to a senior servant of God who denies God because of denying the true teaching Word.
By stretching out his hands to God, he was changed to be strong and of good courage. He did not deny the Lord anymore. Moreover, he willingly gave his life to Him. He also got the power of lifting up from the drowning.
Let us lift up our hands to God. We are sanctified and changed to be used by God until we are lifted up on the glorious clouds when Jesus comes a second time.
1 Peter 5:5-6
5:5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for "God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."
5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
God blesses you.
