Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 14 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood in front of the Ark of the Covenant or the suffering in the flesh for the church together with Jesus as the last sanctification that the church can reach the quality of being blameless or perfect.
Revelation 14 can be divided into the following three parts:
- Verse 1-5 = the church's following Jesus as the Lamb of God (it has been explained in General Service in Malang, August 15, 2021).
- Verse 6-13 = the judgment.
- Verse 14-20 = the harvest on earth.
ad. 1.
Revelation 14:1,514:1 Then I looked, and behold, a Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His Father's name written on their foreheads.
14:5 And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without faultbefore the throne of God.
There are the sprinkling of blood and the following.
Thus, the church's following Jesus is signified by the sprinkling of blood, so there is increasing sanctification and renewal up to Mount Zion or the quality of the perfection of the heavenly bride.
'
one hundred and forty-four thousand' = the core of the heavenly bride from the natives of Israel (the twelve tribes of Israel, twelve thousand people from each tribe).
How about the Gentiles? The opportunity for the Gentiles' being God's bride is opened because a part of Israelites has rejected Jesus. Thus, the Gentiles become the complement of the bride or the Gentiles together with the Israelites become the heavenly bride.
Revelation 14:2-514:2. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the voice of many waters(1), and like the voice of loud thunder(2). And I heard the sound of harpists(3)playing their harps.
14:3 They sang as it were a new song(4)before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth.
14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins(5). These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed from among men, being firstfruits(6)to God and to the Lamb.
14:5 And in their mouth was found no deceit(7), for they are without fault before the throne of God.
There are seven facts about our following Jesus up to Mount Zion as follows:
- [Revelation 14:2a] like the voice of many waters.
- [Revelation 14:2b] like the voice of loud thunder.
- [Revelation 14:2c] the sound of harpists.
- [Revelation 14:3] a new song.
- [Revelation 14:4a] they are virgins.
- [Revelation 14:4b] being firstfruits to God.
- [Revelation 14:5] in their mouth was found no deceit = for they are without fault.
The first to the fourth facts refer to the sounds which can thrill God's heart or please Him, so His presence, mercy, and power will come in our life.
The examples are as follows:
- Matthew 15:32
15:32.Now Jesus called His disciples to Himself and said, "I have compassionon the multitude, because they have now continued with Me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way."
'I have compassion' = thrilling God's heart until the miracle happened, namely the five loaves and two fish could make the five thousand people full.
- Mark 5:25
5:25.Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,
The woman was weak, but she kept on going near God although there were so many mulititudes of people because she believed His power. She could thrill God's heart and His mercy was poured out.
ad. 1.
like the voice of many watersFollowing Jesus is like the voice of many waters. It means the fast or swift and strong flow of water which cannot be blocked until reaching the destination, namely the downstream of the sea of the perfect church.
Revelation 19:619:6.And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many watersand as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!
It means the holy and perfect church that consists of the Israelites and Gentiles, both the dead and the alive with the shout for joy "
Alleluia!". Afterwards, we enter the paradise and New Jerusalem.
Genesis 19:1719:17.So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."
Following Jesus like the sound of many waters is like the command of the angel of God to Lot and his family, namely keeping on running until reaching the mountain.
In the New Testament, it refers to the facts found in the life of Paul the apostle.
Fiipi 3:12-143:12.Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
3:13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,
3:14 I press toward the goalfor the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Paul tried to forget the things which are behind and keep on running until reaching the perfection.
By the two witnesses, a matter is legal. The third will be the church's following Jesus.
Therefore, the Gentiles' following Jesus must also be like the sound of many waters, namely the fast or swift and strong flow of water. We must keep on running. Do not stop although you are already in the physical or spiritual blessings or the great temptation and old age! We must keep on running until reaching our purpose, namely the perfection.
The steps of following Jesus like the sound of many waters up to Mount Zion are as follows:
- 'Escape for your life!' = Do not lose the salvation after being saved!
Genesis 19:17
19:17.So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life!Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."
It is the same as the flood which flows fast, swiftly, and strongly.
Getting out of Sodom and Gomorrah is the same as getting out of sins up to the peak.
It means ones who have believed in Jesus as the only Savior, repented, and been baptized of water and Holy Spirit until getting the new life, namely the righteous one. It is the same as being saved and blessed.
Where do we go after being saved? We must work out our salvation so that it will not vanish away. We must keep and increase our salvation.
Philippians 2:12-15
2:12. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvationwith fear and trembling;
2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
2:14 Do all things without complaining and disputing,
2:15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
We must work out our salvation through being the instruments of righteousness, namely the priests and kings or God's servants who serve and minister to Him with the following things:
- Faithfulness and fervency in spirit.
- Faithfulness and righteousness.
- Fear and responsibility to God.
- Williness of heart to sacrifice the time, energy, and soul.
Sacrificing is the same as neither insisting the right nor sacrificing others.
- Neither complaining nor disputing. It means neither quarreling nor judging, but making peace one another.
- Holiness, so we can shine like the stars in the world. We become the witnesses of God who can glorify His name.
Being the stars, we have been near the downstream on the glorious clouds.
We must keep the following two things after being the stars:
- Do not linger!
Genesis 19:16
19:16. And while he lingered, the men took hold of his hand, his wife's hand, and the hands of his two daughters, the LORD being merciful to him, and they brought him out and set him outside the city.
Lingering is the same as being lukewarm or committing the service to God as a habbit.
Lingering is not the characteristic of the flood.
Lingering, one will leave the service and ministry to God, so he is left behind when Jesus comes again.
- Do not go astray! Do not depart from faith!
Philippians 2:16
2:16. holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
We keep on holding fast and obeying the Word of life or the true teaching Word which has been our life experience.
Our eyes are set only upon Jesus who sits at the right side of the throne of Father God.
The stars have their orbit or else they will fall. Let us follow the orbit! We must be there when Jesus comes. Do not look at others until releasing the true teaching!
- 'Do not look behind you' = Do not return to the paganism!
Genesis 19:17
19:17.So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind younor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."
Ephesians 2:11-12
2:11.Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh--who are called Uncircumcisionby what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands--
2:12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
'Uncircumcision ' = the Gentiles.
The characteristics of the Gentiles are as follows:
- without Christ = being without the anointing of Holy Spirit = living in the fleshly wills and lusts like the wild and unclean donkey.
- Uncircumcision = having no sanctification or not being willing to get the sanctification.
- strangers from the covenants of promise = having no heaven or eternal life, one is born to perish only.
- having no hope = easily getting disappointed and hopeless because of the temptation as well as proud because of physical things.
- without God= having no love.
Those are the characteristics of the Gentiles which are like the beasts and Sodom and Gomorrah, namely eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
Luke 17:28-30
17:28. "Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
17:29 "but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
17:30 "Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Returning to the paganism is the same as returning to Sodom and Gomorrah. Consequently, one will be left behind when Jesus comes a second time.
'They ate, they drank' = the sins concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
'they bought, they sold' = the Antichrist makes men worshp money, namely being stingy and greedy.
Being stingy means not being able to give.
Being greedy means stealing the possession of others, especially God's, namely the tithes and offerings.
'they planted, they built' = the false field and building by the encouragement of the false teachings that will end in Babylon.
Do not look behind you is the same as do not return to Sodom and Gomorrah. Let us use our neck to look upon God and worship Him, not to look behind us! We get the crucifixion to our flesh so that our eyes are set upon God only.
- 'nor stay anywhere in the plain' = Do not be influenced by the world with all of its influences!
Genesis 19:17
19:17.So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."
The plain refers to the world with all of its influences, namely the business, amenities, riches, difficulties, poverty, and so on.
Not being influenced by the world means as follows:
- Not being disappointed and hopeless in facing the difficulties, but we keep on following God.
- Not getting proud of the world when all things are blessed and comfortable.
Being influenced by the world, one cannot love God anymore.
1 John 2:15-17
2:15.Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
2:16 For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world.
2:17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.
Do not be influenced by the world! As a result, we can love God. We must prove that we love God when we are in difficulties. This is the true love.
If we love God more than anything, we will be shepherded.
John 21:15-19
21:15.So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Feed My lambs."
21:16 He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You." He said to him, "Tend My sheep."
21:17 He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?" Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, "Do you love Me?" And he said to Him, "Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You." Jesus said to him, "Feed My sheep.
21:18 "Most assuredly, I say to you, when you were younger, you girded yourself and walked where you wished; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will gird you and carry you where you do not wish."
21:19 This He spoke, signifying by what death he would glorify God. And when He had spoken this, He said to him, "Follow Me."
The first question was "Do you love Me (with Agape love)?" The answer was with the love to others.
The second question was "Do you love Me (with Agape love)?" The answer was with the love to others.
The third question was "Do you love Me (with the love to others)?" Peter cried.
It means that Peter did not have any love.
In the shepherding, we receive the love of God, so we can love Him and other people; even we can love other people who make hostility towards us.
The three times of Jesus' questioning Peter are the same as the perseverance in committing the three main services to God in the shepherding pen as follows:
- The Golden Candlestick or the perseverance in committing the General Service to get the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts.
Persevering in it, there will be the garland of twelve stars or the light of the stars.
- The Table of Showbread or the perseverance in committing the Bible Study Service with the Holy Communion to get the fellowship with the Son of God in the teaching Word and the sacrifice of Christ.
If we persevere, the redemption nd sanctification will increase until being the moon under the feet or the perfect redemption.
- The Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing the Prayer Service to get the fellowship with Father God in His love.
If we persevere, the love will increase until being the clothes of the sun.
In the shepherding pen, we receive the love of God until we can say 'I shal not want'. It means that we get the abundant preservation of God in the midst of the crises in the world. Spiritually, we get the sun, moon, and stars for appearing like what is written in Revelation 12:1.
Revelation 12:1
12:1.Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moonunder her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
That is the heavenly bride. Afterwards, we will be given the two wings of a great eagle for being evacuated to the wilderness, far away from the presence of the serpent for three and a half years. We are preserved by God through the teaching Word and Holy Communion.
Revelation 12:14
12:14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
- 'Escape to the mountains' = going towards the New Jerusalem.
Genesis 19:17
19:17.So it came to pass, when they had brought them outside, that he said, "Escape for your life! Do not look behind you nor stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, lest you be destroyed."
Revelation 21:9-10
21:9.Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, "Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb's wife."
21:10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
Running to the New Jerusalem must be through the renewal from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus is. It begins from not lying.
Revelation 22:15
22:15.But outside are dogs(1)and sorcerers(2)and sexually immoral(3)and murderers(4)and idolaters(5), and whoever loves and practices a lie(6).
On the last trumpet or when Jesus comes a second time, ones who have died in Jesus will be resurrected in the body of glory and we, who are still alive, will be changed in the twinkling of an eye in the body of glory.
Both become the the perfect body of Christ or the heavenly bride who is lifted up to the glorious clouds by the power of the two wings of a great eagle to meet Jesus forever.
That is the step to go towards Mount Zion. Nevertheless, the fleshly men are weak.
Philippians 3:10-113:10.that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
3:11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Paul the apostle confessed his many weaknesses until not reaching the perfection yet, but he relied on the cross. The cross of Christ bears all of our weaknesses. If we confess, God will set us free from our weaknesses until we can reach the perfection.
Lot also confessed that he could not run to the mountain.
Genesis 19:18-2419:18.Then Lot said to them, "Please, no, my lords!
19:19 "Indeed now, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake meand I die.
19:20 "See now, this city is near enoughto flee to, and it is a little one; please let me escape there (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live."
19:21 And he said to him, "See, I have favored you concerning this thing also, in that I will not overthrow this city for which you have spoken.
19:22 "Hurry, escape there. For I cannot do anything until you arrive there." Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
19:23 The sun had risen upon the earth when Lot entered Zoar.
19:24 Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens.
He needed the mercy and goodness of God for being perfect.
Where did he stay? He stayed in Zoar, a near and little city. Now, it refers to the cross. In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Altar of Burnt Offerings or the first equipment near the Gate of Tabernacle.
Use the corss of Christ! There is the sun of mercy on the cross of Christ for defeating the rain of fire and brimstone.
Many people belittle the cross and suppose it as a foolish thing.
Unfortunately, afterwards, Lot went out of Zoar.
Genesis 19:30-3819:30.Then Lot went up out of Zoar and dwelt in the mountains, and his two daughters were with him; for he was afraid to dwell in Zoar. And he and his two daughters dwelt in a cave.
19:31 Now the firstborn said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man on the earth to come in to us as is the custom of all the earth.
19:32 "Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father."
19:33 So they made their father drink wine that night. And the firstborn went in and lay with her father, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.
19:34 It happened on the next day that the firstborn said to the younger, "Indeed I lay with my father last night; let us make him drink wine tonight also, and you go in and lie with him, that we may preserve the lineage of our father."
19:35 Then they made their father drink wine that night also. And the younger arose and lay with him, and he did not know when she lay down or when she arose.
19:36 Thus both the daughters of Lot were with child by their father.
19:37 The firstborn bore a son and called his name Moab; he is the father of the Moabites to this day.
19:38 And the younger, she also bore a son and called his name Ben-Ammi; he is the father of the people of Ammonto this day.
'
he was afraid to dwell in Zoar' = being afraid if the cross or suffering.
Lot could not stand bearing the cross, so he stayed in a cave for making his flesh comfortable.
Consequently, he drank the wine and did the immorality with his daughters. It means the immorality of blood and the results are the Moabites and the people of Ammon who cannot enter the temple.
Deuteronomy 23:323:3." An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the assembly of the LORD; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the LORD forever,
Rejecting the cross, one must reject the true teaching Word and commit the immorality of blood to result in the lives who cannot enter the body of Christ.
Praise the Lord because there is still the redemption.
Ruth, the woman of Moab, could get married with Boaz, and then the genealogy resulted in Jesus Christ.
Ruth 1:41:4.Now they took wives of the women of Moab: the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth. And they dwelt there about ten years.
Ruth willingly received the cross. She kept on following the mother-in-law and did not pursue the young men.
Finally, she got the redemption and became the bride.
Formerly, Lot only followed Abraham, but Abraham had the sight of the cross.
Genesis 13:1413:14.And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are -- northward, southward, eastward, and westward;
'
northward, southward, eastward, and westward' = the sight of the cross that can result in the descendants of God.
One of them is Moses.
Moses got the experience of the cross when he was thrown away in the river. Growing up, he left Egypt for being a shepherd.
Nevertheless, there were the weaknesses still.
Exodus 4:24-254:24.And it came to pass on the way, at the encampment, that the LORD met him and sought to kill him.
4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone and cut off the foreskin of her son and cast it at Moses' feet, and said, "Surely you are a husband of bloodto me!"
Having the cross, we become the bride of blood. We do not commit the immorality of blood.
Although we have the weaknesses, there are still the help and redemption of God.
Having the weaknesses, we must come to the cross so that there is the redemption and we become the bride of blood.
Let us come to the cross to confess our weaknesses regardless of our condition we have now. There is the sun of God's mercy and goodness.
The results are as follows:
- The life renewal from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones. It begins from being meek to confess all weaknesses and mistakes, and we will get the remission of sin and there is no judgment. We have no heavy burden anymore because all burdens have been born by God.
Facing the stronger enemy that makes us afraid, we must also be meek. The sun is still able to pass through the valley, so all impossible problems can be finished by God.
Facing the crisis, there is the sun of God's mercy that is able to preserve and protect our small and powerless life in the world until the time when the Antichrist reigns over the world. Moreover, we are protected from the hell.
- God preserves our soul, so all things become easy and light.
- Facing the valley of fall, there is the sun of God's mercy for restoring our life and giving us the beautiful and successful future life.
- When Jesus comes a second time, we will be changed to be as perfect as Jesus is. We become the bride of blood or the heavenly bride who is worthy for welcoming Jesus' second coming on the glorious clouds and entering the New Jerusalem.
God blesses you.
