To coincide with priests upgrading III
The title of Matthew 26:17-25 is Eating the Passover, consisting of two parts as follows:
- Verse 17-19, the preparation of the Passover.
- Verse 20-25, eating the Passover.
ad.2. Eating the Passover.
Matthew 26:20-2226:20 When evening had come, He sat down with the twelve.
26:21 Now as they were eating, He said, "Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me."
26:22 And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, "Lord, is it I?"
In Old Testament, eating the Passover was equal to eating unleavened bread and roast.
In New Testament, eating the Passover equals to eating the true and pure teaching Word (unleavened bread) and Holy Communion (roast).
The true teaching Word and Holy Communion are able to sanctify our life from all sins up to the hidden one in heart and mind.
The true teaching Word and Holy Communion are able to sanctify our life so we can live in holiness. We will not be holy if there is no true teaching Word.
Exodus 29:1a29:1. And this is what you shall do to them to hallowthem for ministering to Me as priests:The requirement of being priest is holiness.
If we want to be sanctified and live in holiness, we can be consecrated as priests and kings, the servants of God.
Exodus 29:229:2 "and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafersanointed with oil (you shall make them of wheat flour). The one requirement of being priest and kings is food offering, namely unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers.
The food offering was made of the best wheat flour, not other flour. The best wheat flour means that it comes from the best wheat.
Eating the true teaching Word and Holy Communion (perseverance in doing Bible Study Service and Holy Communion) is
the process of filling our life with the persona of Jesus, or the process of filling the wheat until it becomes ripe.
The wheat must have the chaff first; and then it can be filled with the content of wheat until it is ripe.
The Lord gives us the chaff first, meaning physical blessings such as protection, health, financial blessings, et cetera, so we can be filled with the teaching Word and Holy Communion, especially in our perseverance in Bible Study Service, until we become ripe wheat.
The best wheat from which bread pleasing Father God can be made is Jesus Himself. Father God in heaven confessed two times "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Now,
the best wheat refers to the sons of God who pass the two times of winnowing or separation as follows:
- The separation between tares and wheat.
Matthew 13:24-25
13:24. Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field;
13:25 "but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
The tares point to the servants of God who keep the sins up to the peak of sin because of the hardness of heart causing the rejection to the true teaching Word. The hard-hearted cannot be solemn in the sowing of the seed of the true teaching Word.
The wheat refers to the priests who are willing to be sanctified by the true teaching Word and to live in holiness.
Do not keep any sin whatever reason you have!
- The separation between chaff and wheat.
Matthew 3:12
3:12 "His winnowing fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
The chaff points to priests who are only satisfied by physical blessings or chase the physical blessings and do not prioritize spiritual matters. Even such people sacrifice the spiritual matters in order to get the physical ones as Esau did.
The wheat refers to priests who prioritize spiritual matters more than the physical ones, or prioritize the true teaching Word more than anything.
The best wheat can be made unleavened bread to please God.
The process of the wheat's being the bread is as follows:
- Being peeled.
The skin refers to physical blessings. Being peeled means all our rights are taken by God, so we become priests who do not insist our rights but only do our duty, even we feel so useless.
It equals to full surrendering.
The duty of a priest is only to serve God to glorify Him.
The duty is not only in church but also in the school, house, office, and anywhere.
Isaiah 49:3-4
49:3 "And He said to me, 'You are My servant, O Israel, In whom I will be glorified.'
49:4 Then I said, 'I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for nothing and in vain; Yet surely my just reward is with the LORD, And my work with my God.'"
The result is that our right and reward are in the hand of God, both for the present life and the eternal one. God never fools us.
- Being pounded to be made powder.
It is the process of crushing or refining, we are refined until we become formless powder. We will not become the powder if we still keep our pride.
It means the meekness of heartas follows:
- Ability to receive God's Word how hard it is. We will not receive the hard Word if we keep our sins and pride.
- Ability to receive other people with their weakness and strength.
We do not envy other people who are better than us but we can give thanks.
We can forgive and forget when other people have weakness.
Being meek, we can surely be united.
- Being made as lump.
To be made as lump, the powder must be pressed and thrown down to be formed as bread. Meaning we have to sacrifice our feelings.
The requirement of being formed is being silent and obedient.
Being silent means not commenting too much, especially the negative comments. In addition, it means not hunting anything.
Being obedient means not being rebellious.
The forming process is not in line with what we want, so we have to sacrifice our feelings to take the mind and feeling of Jesus in our life.
Acts 13:5, 12:12
13:5 And when they arrived in Salamis, they preached the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. They also had John as their assistant.
12:12 So, when he had considered this, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose surname was Mark, where many were gathered together praying.
John was willing to become the assistant in the forming process, so he was trusted by the Lord to write the Gospel of Mark which shows Jesus as a servant.
We have to keep the lump away from leaven, because the Lord wants the unleavened bread.
The forming process of a lump is a determination.
1 Corinthians 5:7-8
5:7.Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
A little leaven will destroy the whole lump and God will not receive it.
To purge out the leaven, we have to live in sincerity and truth. We have to be firm!
Our boundary is the sincerity and truth as follows:
- We hold fast the true and pure teaching Word without giving any chance to hear other doctrine although it is only once.
- We are delivered from the leavens of sins which can destroy our spirituality and the fellowship of the body of Christ.
1 Corinthians 5:11
5:11 But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner--not even to eat with such a person.
We will have the ambience of feast or heavenly joy if we have the pure and true lump.
- Being burnt.
1 Peter 4:12-14
4:12. Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you;
4:13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
We have to experiencethe fiery trial or the sprinkling of blood or suffering without any sinin order to become baked unleavened bread.
The burning process is process to make us baked or the process to perfect our spirituality.
Facing the fiery trial, Holy Spirit is poured out to do these things:
- To give us joy.
- To strengthen us so we can become patient and perseverein suffering without any sin.
Being patient in suffering means we do not murmur nor grumble besides we are patient in waiting the time of God. Do not make your own way outside the Word because it is dead end and perdition.
Persevering means being faithful in the shepherding or three main services.
If we become patient and persevere, we will become the baked unleavened bread to please God and other people. Seeing Job, being ripe in spirituality means feeling as clay only which is powerless and unworthy.
James 5:10-11
5:10 My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering and patience.
5:11 Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the Lord--that the Lord is very compassionate and merciful.
As a result, our life is in the hand of High Priest who is full of mercy and loving-kindness as follows:
- The hand of mercy of God is able to heal us physically and spiritually, as Job who was healed doubly.
Physically, all problems are settled.
Spiritually, we are renewed little by little until we become as glorious as Jesus is.
- The hand of mercy of God employs us to become the vessel of God's glory, we are employed in the revival of the building of Christ's body.
- The hand of mercy of God is able to bless us now, in the future, up to the eternal life.
God blesses you.
