Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 22:222:2. In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. The three things that we must pay attention to for entering the New Jerusalem are as follows:
- The Book of Life that writes the names of those who have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus.
- A pure river of water of life, proceeding from the throne of God. It refers to the power of Holy Spirit.
- The tree of life.
ad. 3
The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Genesis 3:22 3:22. Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"
The fruit of the tree of life gives eternal life.
Genesis 2:9 2:9. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of lifewas also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The three kinds of fruit in Garden Eden are as follows:
- The tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.
Genesis 2:16
2:16. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
Psalm 119:130-131
119:130. The entrance of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
119:131. I opened my mouth and panted, For I longed for Your commandments.
It refers to the Word whose secret is revealed through one verse that explains the other verses in the Holy Bible. It is the one that we really need. It is able to give the light in the darkness of the world. It gives us the understanding, so we do not become the simple man. The simple man means that one rejects the cross and he is not shepherded. The Word gives us the guarantee of our daily life. It makes all things good in due time.
- The tree of the knowledgeof good and evil. It refers to the Law.
Genesis 2:17
2:17. "but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
It shall not be eaten. Eating it, one will surely die.
Romans 3:20-24
3:20. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
3:21. But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets,
3:22. even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference;
3:23. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:24. being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
James 2:10-11
2:10. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.
2:11. For He who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
There is none of the sinners who can be justified by the Law, so they must be destroyed, because none can keep the whole law.
Matthew 5:17
5:17. "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
Jesus must die on the cross to fulfill the Law and bear our sins. It is God's mercy to justify the sinners who believe in Him.
- The tree of life.
It refers to Jesus who gives eternal life for those who believe in Him--eating the fruit of the tree of life.
There is only the tree of life in the New Jerusalem. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil does not exist there.
Exodus 31:16-17
31:16. 'Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.
31:17. 'It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.' "
Sabbath is one of the Law. It is only for the Israelites, not for the Gentiles.
Galatians 3:13-14
3:13. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"),
3:14. that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Jesus has died on the cross to bear the Law. The results are as follows:
- The Gentiles can receive the physicalblessing of Abraham even become the blessing for others. So, the blessing is never stopped but keeps flowing.
We also receive the spiritual blessing, namely Holy Spirit, so the Gentiles can experience Sabbath. It means having rest in Holy Spirit.
Sabbath in the Law is working for six days, and resting in the seventh day.
Sabbath in the New Testament is resting in Holy Spirit first, and then we work or minister to God.
The spiritual blessing is also the spiritual Canaan, namely the New Jerusalem.
- The tree of knowledge ofgood and evil--the Law--does not exist in the New Jerusalem. There is only the tree of life at the side of a pure river of water of life
The process to eat the fruit of the tree of life up to receiving eternal life is as follows:
- The Gentiles must return to the first love. It refers to the Court of the Tabernacle.
Revelation 2:4-5,7
2:4. "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.
2:5. "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place--unless you repent.
2:7. "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God."'
Acts 19:1-8
19:1. And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples
19:2. he said to them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" So they said to him, "We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit."
19:3. And he said to them, "Into what then were you baptized?" So they said, "Into John's baptism."
19:4. Then Paul said, "John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus."
19:5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
19:6. And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.
19:7. Now the men were about twelve in all.
19:8. And he went into the synagogue and spoke boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading concerning the things of the kingdom of God.
The facts found in having the first love are as follows:
- [verse 2] Trusting Jesus as the only Savior.
- [verse 4] Repenting or stopping sinning and returning to God. It means being dead to sin. The faith is the brake to not sinning.
- [verse 5] The true water baptism.
Romans 6:4
6:4. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
One who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life or the heavenly one, namely life in righteousness. As a result, we are saved and blessed by God.
- [verse 6] Holy Spirit baptism.
John 3:6-8
3:6. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
3:7. "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
3:8. "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."
Psalm 104:4
104:4. Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire.
Holy Spirit makes the servant of God as winds and fire.
The winds bring coolness or peace.
The fire means ministering to God faithfully and fervently.
1 John 2:27
2:27. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
We also become faithful and fervent in the true teaching Word that we have received and become our experience.
2 Corinthians 11:3-4
11:3. But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
11:4. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!
In the past time, Eve was deceived by the serpent to eat from the tree which God had forbidden, so she was cast from Paradise to the world.
In the last days, the church of God is also deceived by the serpent to eat the other teaching, so we cannot return to the Paradise, but we are cast from the world to the hell, namely perdition forever.
- We must receive the sword of purification. It refers to the Holy Place.
Genesis 3:23-24
3:23. therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken.
3:24. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
Men had sinned, so they were cast into the world, and the door of the garden of Eden was kept by a flashing sword to guard the way to the tree of life.
Luke 23:42-43
23:42. Then he said to Jesus, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom."
23:43. And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."
The way out is that Jesus must die in curse on the cross to receive the sword of punishment, so the door of Paradise to the tree of life is opened.
We do not need to receive the sword of punishment, but we must receive the one of purification, namely the true teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword--the Urim and the Thummim--, so we can eat the fruit of the tree of life.
If we do not want to receive the sword of purification, we will surely receive the one of punishment.
John 15:3
15:3. "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
We must become like a branch that abides in the true vine. It means being shepherded to the true teaching Word, so our body, soul, and spirit attach to the trinity of God. As a result, we are purified continuously.
What must be purified?
- The sea serpents in the waters.
Isaiah 27:1
27:1. In that day the LORD with His severe sword, great and strong, Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent; And He will slay the reptile that is in the sea.
Psalm 74:13-14
74:13. You divided the sea by Your strength; You broke the heads of the sea serpents in the waters.
74:14. You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces, And gave him as food to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
It refers to Babylon who controls the world.
Revelation 17:1,5,15
17:1. Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and talked with me, saying to me, "Come, I will show you the judgment of the great harlot who sits on many waters,
17:5. And on her forehead a name was written: MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.
17:15. Then he said to me, "The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues.
Babylon refers to the sin of Babylon, namely the one of eating-drinking and marrying-giving in marriage.
- The arrogance or pride.
1 Chronicles 21:1-2,7,16,27
21:1. Now Satan stood up against Israel, and moved David to number Israel.
21:2. So David said to Joab and to the leaders of the people, "Go, number Israel from Beersheba to Dan, and bring the number of them to me that I may know it."
21:7 And God was displeased with this thing; therefore He struck Israel.
21:16. Then David lifted his eyes and saw the angel of the LORD standing between earth and heaven, having in his hand a drawn sword stretched out over Jerusalem. So David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.
21:27. So the LORD commanded the angel, and he returned his sword to its sheath.
We should not be proud of the thing in the world that causes us not to hope God anymore. Whatever the blessing we receive, let us keep prioritizing God. We totally depend on God.
- Lying.
Acts 5:1-5,8-9
5:1. But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession.
5:2. And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles' feet.
5:3. But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?
5:4. "While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
5:5. Then Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and breathed his last. So great fear came upon all those who heard these things.
5:8. And Peter answered her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for so much?" She said, "Yes, for so much."
5:9. Then Peter said to her, "How is it that you have agreed together to test the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."
Lying is purified to become honesty.
Titus 2:7
2:7. in all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works; in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility,
We are honest in teaching, so we can become a pattern of good works.
Hebrews 13:4
13:4. Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
We are honest about marriage. There is no fornication, adultery, violence, et cetera.
Hebrews 13:5
13:5. Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
We are honest about money. We return the possession of God, namely the tithe and special offerings, and the one of others who are in need.
As a result, Jesus becomes the Head who has responsibility for our life.
Revelation 14:5
14:5. And in their mouth was found no deceit, for they are without fault before the throne of God.
In the shepherding, we experience the purification continuously up to perfection. We are without fault, so we can eat the fruit of the tree of life.
- Dipping the tunic in the blood or experiencing the sprinkle of blood. It refers to the Most Holy Place.
Revelation 22:14
22:14. Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
It means suffering in the flesh without sin or suffering in the flesh for Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:16-17
4:16. Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
4:17. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
God allows us experiencing the sprinkle of blood, so we experience the shekinah glory or the glory of God, namely the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus.
In facing the sprinkle of blood, we are not against it, but we must worship God a lot.
Genesis 37:12-14,17,31
37:12. Then his brothers went to feed their father's flock in Shechem.
37:13. And Israel said to Joseph, "Are not your brothers feeding the flock in Shechem? Come, I will send you to them." So he said to him, "Here I am."
37:14. Then he said to him, "Please go and see if it is well with your brothers and well with the flocks, and bring back word to me." So he sent him out of the Valley of Hebron, and he went to Shechem.
37:17. And the man said, "They have departed from here, for I heard them say, 'Let us go to Dothan.' " So Joseph went after his brothers and found them in Dothan.
37:31. So they took Joseph's tunic, killed a kid of the goats, and dipped the tunic in the blood.
The facts of a new man are as follows:
- Saying, 'Here I am,' like Joseph. It means becoming obedient until the flesh does not speak anymore like Jesus in Gethsemane.
If we become obedient, the risk will be borne by God. But, if we do not obey Him, the risk will be borne by ourselves up to destruction.
- Shechem means the shoulder that refers to the responsibility. It means being faithful and trustworthy or having responsibility to God.
.
Deuteronomy 11:12-15
11:12. "a land for which the LORD your God cares; the eyes of the LORD your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.
11:13. ' And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
11:14. 'then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
11:15. 'And I will send grass in your fields for your livestock, that you may eat and be filled.'
As a result, God will pour out Holy Spirit upon us.
The results are as follows:
- Holy Spirit is able to take care of our physical life in the midst of the difficulties of the world.
Psalm 104:15
104:15. And wine that makes glad the heart of man, Oil to make his face shine, And bread which strengthens man's heart.
Holy Spirit is able take care of our spiritual life, so we experience the heavenly satisfaction. We always give thanks and testify, so our face beams.
- Holy Spirit is able to protect us from the upcoming punishment.
Zechariah 14:17-18
14:17. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, on them there will be no rain.
14:18. If the family of Egypt will not come up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.
- Holy Spirit is able to finish all of impossible problems.
Judges 14:5-6
14:5. So Samson went down to Timnah with his father and mother, and came to the vineyards of Timnah. Now to his surprise, a young lion came roaring against him.
14:6. And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he tore the lion apart as one would have torn apart a young goat, though he had nothing in his hand. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.
- Holy Spirit is able to renew us.
Titus 3:5
3:5. not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,
We can be patient in the suffering by giving thanks and surrendering to God. We can be patient in waiting the time of God by doing the introspection in our life
God blesses us.
