Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 7:15-167:15. "Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them.
7:16 "They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat. The activity of God on the throne of heaven is dwelling, spreading His wings, or giving His covering for us from now in the world up to eternal life.
Psalm 68:6-8
68:6. A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, Is God in His holy habitation.
68:7. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
68:7. God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; But the rebellious dwell in a dry land.Who are the people who deserve to get the covering from God?
- The fatherless, meaning ones who are separated from Satan.
- The widows, meaning ones who are separated from the flesh.
- The strangers.
ad. 3.
The Strangers.
They refer to
ones who are separated from the world and all of its influences like Abraham.
Hebrews 11:8-10
11:8. By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
11:9. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
11:10. for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
As a stranger, Abraham dwelt in tents.
The spiritual meanings of the tent are as follows:
- Something which is not permanentbecause we can easily set and disassemble it.
It means that we are not bound to the worldwhich has returned to the days of Sodom and Gomorrah. It happens through water baptism.
Matthew 3:15-16
3:15. But Jesus answered and said to him, "Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he allowed Him.
3:16. When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.
Romans 6:4
6:4. Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Colossians 2:12
2:12. buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.
The true water baptism is that one who has died to sin or repented must be buried in the water with Jesus and come out or rise from water with Him to receive new life (the heavens are opened).
If one does not come out from water, he has not been baptized yet.
As a result, we are moved from fleshly life to heavenly or newly one, namely having a good conscience.
Genesis 14:17-23
14:17. And the king of Sodom went out to meet him at the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley), after his return from the defeat of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him.
14:18. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.
14:19. And he blessed him and said: "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;
14:20. And blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand." And he gave him a tithe of all.
14:21. Now the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the persons, and take the goods for yourself."
14:22. But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, the Possessor of heaven and earth,
14:23. "that I will take nothing, from a thread to a sandal strap, and that I will not take anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich' --
A blessed and victorious life will face Melchizedek king of Salem/the high priest, who refers to Jesus, and king of Sodom.
Abraham chooses Melchizedek king of Salem or the high priest. The proof is that he returns the tithe.
We return the tithe to God, not man.
A pastor is just trusted to receive the tithe, and he must be responsible to Jesus as the High Priest.
A pastor is trusted to receive the tithe, so he is also trusted to receive the spiritual food from heaven, namely the shepherding word that is able to guarantee our physical and spiritual life.
Be careful! If a pastor is not trusted to receive the tithe anymore, he will not be trusted to receive the spiritual food. Consequently, we will die.
The tithe is a confession that we have been blessed by God, we live from Him, and we belong to Him.
Not returning the tithe means the confession that one lives from king of Sodom and Gomorrah, so he falls into sins up to the peak, and will be destroyed forever.
- The tents refer to the shepherding system.
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob lived in the tents [Hebrews 11:9]. They were the heirs of the promise of God.
Esau did not receive the promise of God because he walked about and hunted, namely looking for physical thing by sacrificing the spiritual one or legalizing unlawful thing. He did not hear the voice of God, but the strange one.
Esau was great but he was not shepherded. Consequently, he lost everything and wept forever.
Jacob lived in the tent, so he received everything.
The activities in the shepherding pen are as follows:
- The activity of Abraham.
Genesis 18:1,6-7
18:1. Then the LORD appeared to him by the terebinth trees of Mamre, as he was sitting in the tent door in the heat of the day.
18:6. So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah and said, "Quickly, make ready three measures of fine meal; knead it and make cakes."
18:7. And Abraham ran to the herd, took a tender and good calf, gave it to a young man, and he hastened to prepare it.
- Kneading three measures of fine meal.
The meal refers to the word of God.
The three measures refer to God the Trinity.
God the Father = Lord (the first cherubim).
The Son of God = Jesus (the mercy seat).
Holy Spirit God= Christ (the second cherubim).
The three measures refer to God the Father, the Son of God, and Holy Spirit God, namely the Lord Jesus Christ in the glory as the King and Bridegroom.
The three measures of fine meal refer to the Bride Tidings or the teaching word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
The process of kneading three measures of fine meal is hearing the word earnestly, understanding and believing it until practicing it.
It means that we knead the word in our hand. We can eat and enjoy the true teaching word.
- Preparing a good calf. It refers to the fellowship with the sacrifice of God in the Holy Communion.
Kneading three measures of fine meal to make cakes and preparing a good calf refer to the Table of Showbread, namely perseverance in committing the Bible Study Service and Holy Communion. We have fellowship with the Son of God in the true teaching word and Christ's sacrifice.
Genesis 14:18
14:18. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High.
As a result, we feel the ministry of Jesus as the High Priest in the midst of us.
- The activity of Isaac.
Genesis 24:67
24:67. Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah's tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother's death.
Genesis 25:21
25:21. Now Isaac pleaded with the LORD for his wife, because she was barren; and the LORD granted his plea, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
The activity of Isaac in the tent is praying for his wife who is barren.
Abraham did not pray when Sarai was barren, but he took his own way, namely taking Hagar to become his wife, so it became unfinished problem until now.
Isaac used the way of God, and He finished all problems.
It refers to the Golden Altar of Incense, meaning the perseverance in committing the Prayer Service. We have fellowship with God the Father in His love.
- The activity of Jacob.
Genesis 25:27
25:27. So the boys grew. And Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field; but Jacob was a mild man, dwelling in tents.
Genesis 27:15
27:15. Then Rebekah took the choice clothes of her elder son Esau, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son.
The activity of Jacob in the tent is wearing the choice clothes, namely the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit
.
It refers to the Golden Candlestick, meaning the perseverance in committing the General Service. We have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His anointing and gifts.
The gifts of Holy Spirit mean the miraculous ability from God to minister to Him.
So, the activity in the tents is the perseverance in committing three kinds of main service to God.
Acts 2:41-42
2:41. Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
2:42. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
In the sheepfold, our body, soul, and spirit attach to God the Trinity, so Satan the trinity cannot touch us. We cannot be deceived. We become the stranger in the world on the last days that are like the ones in Sodom and Gomorrah.
Hebrews 11:9-10
11:9. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
11:10. for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
One who is shepherded well and correctly will always associate all things to the heavenly ones. We can say "it is better not to ... than not to enter the heaven". We willingly sacrifice all things in the world that do not fit the heaven
Colossians 2:7
2:7. rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
One who is shepherded has a stable faith. If a tree has a strong root, it will surely grow.
The proof of the strong base is that we always give thanks to God.
Psalm 1:1-3
1:1. Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
1:2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
1:3. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
17:7. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD.
17:8. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
One who is shepherded or persevering in three kinds of service is like a tree planted by the waters.
- The root is able to absorb the water.
It means that one enjoys the true teaching word although it is hard and sharp for the flesh.
As a result, the root becomes true and strong.
Proverbs 12:3
12:3. A man is not established by wickedness, But the root of the righteous cannot be moved.
The true and strong root cannot be moved by all things including temptations.
Nathan the prophet reproved David when he fell in adultery with Bathsheba. He could be helped as long as he had the true root, meaning that he wanted to absorb the water of the true teaching word.
- Being leafy.
Acts 20:28,31-33,35
20:28. "Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
20:31. "Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
20:32. "So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
20:33. "I have coveted no one's silver or gold or apparel.
20:35. "I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"
Being leafy is the same as being built already.
It means that the shepherding word purifies us continuously from the unclean desire, the bitterness of heart, and evil desire/the one of money until we can feel more blessed to give than to receive. It is started by returning the tithe and special offerings until we surrender all of our life happily.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
The holy man will be equipped with the ministry to be used in the building of the perfect body of Christ.
- Yielding fruit.
Hebrews 13:15-17
13:15. Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
13:16. But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
13:17. Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
We bear the fruit of good word and deed (returning good for evil), and obedience.
We become obedient until our flesh does not sound anymore. It is the same as stretching out our hands to God. We trust and cry to God, and He will stretch out His merciful hands to us.
Isaiah 38:1-6
38:1. In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'"
38:2. Then Hezekiah turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD,
38:3. and said, "Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what is good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
38:4. And the word of the LORD came to Isaiah, saying,
38:5. "Go and tell Hezekiah, 'Thus says the LORD, the God of David your father: "I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.
38:6. "I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city."'
As a result, God is able to help and finish all problems in His time.
We experience God's preservation and protection miraculously.
Genesis 39:21-23
39:21. But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.
39:22. And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph's hand all the prisoners who were in the prison; whatever they did there, it was his doing.
39:23. The keeper of the prison did not look into anything that was under Joseph's authority, because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made it prosper.
Genesis 42:21
42:21. Then they said to one another, "We are truly guilty concerning our brother, for we saw the anguish of his soul when he pleaded with us, and we would not hear; therefore this distress has come upon us."
Joseph lamented to God when he experienced the sprinkle of blood, namely being in the prison or the limited situation, and He made all things successful in His time.
Genesis 49:22
49:22. "Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall.
It continues up to perfection, and we enter the New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
