Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 19:9
19:9 Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!'"And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."The marriage supper of the Lamb refers to the meeting between Jesus, who comes for the second time in the glory as the Head and the Heavenly Bridegroom, with the perfect church, the body, or the bride of God, on the glorious clouds. Then, we will enter the Future Paradise or the One Thousand Years Kingdom of Peace and the New Jerusalem or the eternal heavenly kingdom.
Romans 8:11
8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
Who is the Heavenly Bridegroom?
He is Jesus, a man in flesh and blood who is sinless, but must die on the cross to redeem the sins of men. Nevertheless, Jesus is resurrected by the power of Holy Spirit in the glorious body and ascends to heaven.
Who is the heavenly bride?
The heavenly bride refers to us, the men in flesh and blood who are sinful, but have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus and set free from sins. Then, we receive the power of Jesus' resurrection or Holy Spirit and the Word of God, so we can be sanctified and renewed until being perfect.
Matthew 22:23
22:23 The same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to Him and asked Him,Be careful of false teachings of the Sadducees, who say there are neither resurrection of the dead, spirit, nor angel. Such teaching means that there is no continuation after living in the world. It is the same as rejecting the power of Jesus' resurrection. The people reject to be sanctified and changed to be the bride. It is called as the rejection of the bride.
1 Corinthians 15:32
15:32 If, in the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantage is it to me? If the dead do not rise, "Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die!"Consequently, their life only fulfills the instinct or lust of the flesh up to the peak of sin and they will be left when Jesus comes a second time as well as destroyed forever.
Jesus explained the resurrection of the dead through the following things.
- The eternal covenant between God and Abraham.
Matthew 22:31-32
22:31"But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God, saying,
22:32 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
The covenant when Abraham was still alive was about entering Canaan.
Genesis 17:7-8
17:7 "And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you.
17:8 "Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."
Exodus 3:6-8
3:6 Moreover He said, "I am the God of your father -- the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look upon God.
3:7 And the LORD said: "I have surely seen the oppression of My people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
3:8 "So I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites and the Hittites and the Amorites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites.
It is about the covenant after Abraham had died. Thus, the covenant of God is still valid to Abraham and the descendants although he has died because there is the resurrection of the dead, namely the promise to enter spiritual Canaan or the New Jerusalem.
- Introducing Himself as the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
Matthew 22:32
22:32 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
The God of Abraham refers to Father God, the Lord, or the first cherub.
The God of Isaac refers to the Son of God, Jesus, or the mercy seat with the sprinkling of blood.
The God of Jacob refers to Holy Spirit, Christ, or the second cherub.
Thus, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob refer to the Lord Jesus Christ in the glory as the King of all kings or the Heavenly Bridegroom.
The Trinity of God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
Being dead does not means the bodily death, but being ruled over by the death because of rejecting the resurrection power of Jesus.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed--
15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
Being dead or alive physically is the concerning or authority of God. It depends on His mercy.
Our concerning while we are living in the world is that we must hear the true teaching Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword or the loud sound of the trumpet to change us from the carnal man to the spiritual one like Jesus is.
The last trumpet sounds when Jesus comes a second time and two great things will happen as follows.
- The people who have died in the Lord will be resurrected in the body of glory like Jesus.
- The people who live in the Lord will be changed in the twinkling of an eye in the body of glory.
Both will be one perfect body of Christ. It is the meaning of the living, namely ones who are not ruled over by the death, so they can be the bride of God. This refers to the ark of the Ark of Covenant.
The example of the living is David.
Psalm 118:15-18
118:15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation Is in the tents of the righteous; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
118:16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted; The right hand of the LORD does valiantly.
118:17 I shall not die, but live, And declare the works of the LORD.
118:18 The LORD has chastened me severely, But He has not given me over to death.
The signs are as follows.
- [Psalm 118:16] Living in the right hand of God
- [Psalm 118:18] Willingly receiving the hard chastening of God and undergoing the sanctification and renewal.
We are discussing the second one.
God sanctifies us with two things as follows.
- The Word which is spoken by Jesus Himself or revealed through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible.
John 15:3
15:3 "You are already clean because ofthe word which I have spoken to you.
We must hear and obey the true teaching Word, so we can undergo the sanctification.
Hebrews 4:12
4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The teaching Word which is obeyed will sanctify us. It starts from the heart and mind which are sanctified from the following things.
- The evil lust or the will of money. It causes stinginess and greediness.
The stinginess means that one cannot give to God and others who are in need.
The greediness means robbing the possession of God and others.
We are sanctified until we can feel more joyful to give than to receive.
- The unclean desires, namely the sins concerning eating-drinking such as smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse as well as the ones concerning marrying-being given in marriage.
We are sanctified until our marriage, deeds, and words are holy.
- The bitterness or envy, hatred, up to the one without any reason. We are sanctified until we can love one another.
Ephesians 4:11-12
4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
If we are holy, we will be equipped with the ministry and the gifts of Holy Spirit. We are used in the ministry for the edification of the body of Christ and our life becomes sweet and beautiful.
- The chastening.
Hebrews 12:5-6,8-10
12:5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
12:6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives."
12:8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.
12:9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live?
12:10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.
The teaching Word becomes the stretching out of the cords of God's love. If it is rejected, the cords will be collected and spun to become the whip of God's chastening in all aspects. The purpose is to make us return to the holy life. After we return to the holiness, the chastening will stop.
A pastor who has fallen in sin must receive the sword of the Word for the forgiveness from sin and chastening for returning to the holiness.
2 Samuel 11:1-4
11:1 It happened in the spring of the year, at the time when kings go out to battle, that David sent Joab and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the people of Ammon and besieged Rabbah. But David remained at Jerusalem.
11:2 Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king's house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.
11:3 So David sent and inquired about the woman. And someone said, "Is this not Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?"
11:4 Then David sent messengers, and took her; and she came to him, and he lay with her, for she was cleansed from her impurity; and she returned to her house.
2 Samuel 12:5-14
12:5 So David's anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, "As the LORD lives, the man who has done this shall surely die!
12:6 "And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity."
12:7 Then Nathan said to David, "You are the man! Thus says the LORD God of Israel: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul.
12:8 'I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!
12:9 'Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon.
12:10 'Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.'
12:11 "Thus says the LORD: 'Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.
12:12 'For you did it secretly, but I will do this thing before all Israel, before the sun.'"
12:13 So David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the LORD." And Nathan said to David, "The LORD also has put away your sin; you shall not die.
12:14 "However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die."
2 Samuel 16:20-22
16:20 Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, "Give counsel as to what we should do."
16:21 And Ahithophel said to Absalom, "Go in to your father's concubines, whom he has left to keep the house; and all Israel will hear that you are abhorred by your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strong."
16:22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.
2 Samuel 15:25-26
15:25 Then the king said to Zadok, "Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the LORD, He will bring me back and show me both it and His dwelling place.
15:26 "But if He says thus: 'I have no delight in you,' here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him."
In the time of war or ministry for edifying the body of Christ, do neither become weak and inactive nor hinder it, or else you will commit sin secretly and God will sanctify through the sword of the Word and chasten openly to reveal the reproach because of the hidden sin to make you realize it and return to the holiness.
David could receive the chastening although it came openly, so he kept on gotten the grace of God. God is able to return the things which have vanished away and to make everything good.
Hebrews 12:10-14
12:10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.
12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
12:12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,
12:13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lamemay not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
12:14 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:
The results of the chastening of God are as follows.
- [Hebrews 12:12] Strengthening the weak hands or ones who are lukewarm or unfaithful, so they can be faithful and fervent in spirit in serving and ministering to God.
- [Hebrews 12:12] Strengthening the feeble knees or ones who always repeat the sins and cannot live in righteousness because they cannot stand uprightly upon the sacrifice of Christ. As a result, they can live in righteousness. They do not want to commit sin anymore until they cannot sin.
- [Hebrews 12:13] Being lame or doubtful is changed into being strong and of good courage.
1 Kings 18:24
18:24 "Then you call on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the LORD; and the God who answers by fire, He is God." So all the people answered and said, "It is well spoken."
- [Hebrews 12:14] It continues until we can see the Lord, our mouth can cry out to Him, and our hands can be lifted up to him. It means surrendering and crying out to God as well as worshiping Him with a broken heart.
We can confess all of our physical and spiritual weaknesses and become like a crying baby.
Jonah 2:6
2:6 I went down to the moorings of the mountains; The earth with its bars closed behind me forever; Yet You have brought up my life from the pit, O LORD, my God.
Jonah 2:7
2:7"When my soul fainted within me, I remembered the LORD; And my prayer went up to You, Into Your holy temple.
When you are in sorrow, suffering, difficulty, drowning, physical and spiritual decrease, total failure, weariness, heavy burden, and the dead-end like the condition in the fish' belly, we must return to holiness until our eyes can see the Lord.
Jonah 2:9-10
2:9 But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay what I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD."
2:10 So the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.
One who vows refers to the holy one. It means returning to holiness.
As a result, there will be God's help which we cannot think. He works in His time with His own way and hands, without the influence of any man. We are lifted up by God. We have the beautiful and successful future life until we reach the perfection.
God blesses you.
