Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
According to Tabernacle Teaching, Revelation 2-3 refers to the seven sprinklings of blood before the Ark of the Covenant.
It means
the last sanctificationdone by Jesus for the seven churches of the Gentiles or the congregation in the last days to make them perfect or without blemish like Jesus and worthy to welcome His second coming on the glorious clouds.
Revelation chapter 2 and 3 can be divided into two big parts as follows.
- Revelation chapter 2 refers to the sanctification to the four churches of the Gentiles as follows.
- Revelation 2:1-7, the sanctification to the church of Ephesus.
- Revelation 2:8-11, the sanctification to the church in Smyrna.
- Revelation 2:12-17, the sanctification to the church in Pergamos.
- Revelation 2:18-29, the sanctification to the church in Thyatira.
- Revelation 3 refers to the sanctification to the three churches of the Gentiles as follows.
- Revelation 3:1-6, the sanctification to the church in Sardis.
- Revelation 3:7-13, the sanctification to the church in Philadelphia.
- Revelation 3:14-22, the sanctification to the church of the Laodiceans.
We learn about the second part.
Revelation 3 shows the condition of the churches of the Gentiles as follows.
- The church in Sardis that is in the death sign.
Revelation 3:1
3:1 "And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: "I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
- The church in Philadelphia that is in the resurrection sign.
Revelation 3:7
3:7 "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
- The church of the Laodiceans should have been in the sign of glory, but in fact they are lukewarm.
Revelation 3:15-16
3:15 "I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot.
3:16 "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
The spiritual lukewarmness is the same as the vomit before God. It means a disgusting, useless, and unclean thing that will be destroyed forever.
All of us, the Gentiles in the last days, must experience the sign or experience of death and resurrection with Jesus, so that we can also have the sign or experience of glory with Him.
The facts found in experiencing the death and resurrection with Jesus begin from the right water baptism. Beware of the false water baptism.
Matthew 3:7-9
3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
3:8 "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
3:9 "and do not think to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones. Who must experience the right water baptism?
- The original Israelites or the physical descendants of Abraham.
The Israelites became the brood of viper because of disobeying the Word of God.
- The stones, namely the Gentiles who are the same as the hard stones that are drowned in sins up to the peak.
The Gentiles are the same as the brood of viper.
Revelation 7:5-8
7:5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
7:6 of the tribe of Asher twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manassehtwelve thousand were sealed;
7:7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand were sealed;
7:8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
There is no tribe of Dan among the twelve tribes of Israel God seals because they are replaced by the tribe of Manasseh.
Genesis 49:17
49:17 Dan shall be a serpentby the way, A viperby the path, That bites the horse's heels So that its rider shall fall backward.
The tribe of Dan is supposed as the Gentiles or the brood of viper.
The facts found in the brood of viper are as follows.
- Doing fleshly deeds until the spirituality is dry and dead and one cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven.
Acts 28:2-3
28:2 And the natives showed us unusual kindness; for they kindled a fire and made us all welcome, because of the rain that was falling and because of the cold.
28:3 But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
The viper came out and fastened the hand of Paul. Then, he shook off it into the fire and it died.
The viper fastened the hand of Paul so that he could not minister to God through writing the epistles, but did the fleshly deeds. Nevertheless, Paul defeated it and kept on writing the epistles. If we keep on ministering to God, the serpent will die. On the contrary, not doing the work or ministry for God, one is doing the fleshly deeds.
Galatians 5:19-21
5:19 Now the works of the fleshare evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,
5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,
5:21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
- Saying idle words that contain the poison of serpent causing spiritual death.
Psalm 140:3
140:3 They sharpen their tongues like a serpent; The poison of asps is under their lips. Selah
For example, lie, gossip, slander, and blaspheme to the righteous, even to God. The true teaching Word is blamed and the false one is confirmed. It is the same as blaspheming God.
- Living in the sinful characteristics, namely loathing manna and rejecting the true teaching Word. Consequently, there is spiritual hunger, dissatisfaction, lukewarmness, and death or everlasting perdition.
Numbers 21:4-6
21:4 Then they journeyed from Mount Hor by the Way of the Red Sea, to go around the land of Edom; and the soul of the people became very discouraged on the way.
21:5 And the people spoke against God and against Moses: "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread."
21:6 So the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and manyof the people of Israel died.
Matthew 3:8
3:8 "Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance,
The requirement to be baptized of water correctly is repentance or stopping sinning to return to God. We must die to sin. We repent from sinful deeds, idle or sinful words, and sinful characteristics.
Romans 6:4
6:4 Therefore we were buriedwith Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raisedfrom the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
The execution of the right water baptism is we who have died to sin are buried in water in the name of Father God, the Son of God, and Holy Spirit God, namely the Lord Jesus Christ. We can raise and come out of water with Jesus to receive the new or heavenly life. It means that we experience the life renewal from the hard stone or the brood of viper to the descendants of Abraham.
Galatians 3:7
3:7 Therefore know that only those who are of faithare sons of Abraham. The new life means the one by faith, namely the righteous life in the deeds, words, and characteristics.
Matthew 3:7
3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them, "Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
The righteous life gets the salvation or flees from the wrath of God to come.
The descendants of Abraham deserve to get the blessings of Abraham, namely the ones up to the descendants. We can become blessings for others.
After we experience the death and resurrection with Jesus, we must also have the experience of glory with Him.
Exodus 33:18-23
33:18 And he said, "Please, show me Your glory."
33:19 Then He said, "I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion."
33:20 But He said, "You cannot see My face; for no man shall see Me, and live."
33:21 And the LORD said, "Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock.
33:22 "So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My handwhile I pass by.
33:23 "Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen."
Israelites and Gentiles must have the glory experience with the Lord.
God shows three places where we can see and experience His glory as follows.
- Standing on the rock.
Genesis 49:24
49:24 But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
The rock refers to God Himself as the Great Shepherd.
Standing on the rock means that we are firm and strong in the good and correct shepherding. We confess that the right and good shepherding is the most pleasant place giving us the great promise.
The water baptism is the renewal from evil unclean heart to good conscience that is obedient, sincere, and simple. The good conscience will make us firm in the good and correct shepherding.
Acts 2:41-42
2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
2:42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
The proof of being firm in the shepherding is our perseverance in doing the three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick (the days of Moses) --> perseverance in doing the fellowship (the days of the apostles) --> perseverance in doing General Service to have fellowship with Holy Spirit God in His gifts (the last days).
- Table of Showbread --> perseverance in the apostles’ doctrine and the breaking of bread --> perseverance in doing the Bible Study Service with Holy Communion to have fellowship with the Son of God in the true teaching Word and Christ’s sacrifice.
- Golden Altar of Incense --> perseverance in prayers --> perseverance in doing the Prayer Service to have fellowship with Father God in His love.
Our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God, so we can endure and defeat Satan the trinity as follows.
- Satan with evil and unclean spirits as well as sins up to the peak.
- False prophets with lying spirit, false teachings, and gossip.
- The antichrist with the power of mammon causing the servants of God to be stingy and greedy. We can defeat it until we can be more joyful in giving than receiving.
- In the clefts of the rock.
2 Samuel 22:31-32
22:31 As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORDis proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.
22:32 "For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God?
The rock is the right and pure Word of God or the Bible.
The cleft of the rock refers to the verses in the bible or the revelation of the Word through a verse that explains other verses in the Bible or the true teaching Word.
Thus, we must be shepherded to the true teaching Word and persevere in doing the three main services in the shepherding so that we can see or experience the glory of God.
- We are covered by the hand of God.
Exodus 33:22
33:22 "So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by.
The hand of God refers to Holy Spirit. Being covered by the hand of God is the same as being anointed by Holy Spirit.
Leviticus 21:12
21:12 'nor shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the consecration of the anointing oilof his God is upon him: I am the LORD.
We are sanctified and anointed by Holy Spirit in the shepherding, so we can keep faithful and fervent in spirit doing our service and ministry to God.
The holy, faithful, and fervent in spirit servant of God is the same as the apple of His eye which He covers by His own hand. A grain of sand cannot disturb the apple of God’s eye.
Exodus 33:23
33:23 "Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen."
After we stand on the rock, stay in the clefts of the rock, and get the covering of God’s hand, He takes away the hand because we have seen His glory from the back.
The proof happens that Moses could write the first five books in the Bible, namely the book of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy, whose contents are the things that had happened before he was born. The book of Genesis contains the goodness of God. The book of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy contain the mercy of God. We can experience the mercy and goodness of God that follow us all the days of our life in the shepherding.
Psalm 23:6
23:6 Surely goodness and mercyshall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever. Psalm 136:1-4
136:1 Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.
136:2 Oh, give thanks to the God of gods! For His mercy endures forever.
136:3 Oh, give thanks to the Lord of lords! For His mercy endures forever:
136:4 To Him who alone does great wonders, For His mercy endures forever;
Jesus alone has died on the cross to show His mercy and goodness to us and do great wonder in our life as follows.
- The power to redeem us from sins up to the peak as long as we confess them and do not repeat after being forgiven.
John 8:9-11
8:9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
8:10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"
8:11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
Redeeming us is the same as lifting us up from the dark valley.
King David also fell in sin with Bathsheba, but the hand of God’s mercy and goodness lifted him up after he confessed his sin.
- The power to renew us. We become the new man that is obedient.
- The power to create something that does not exist yet and give solution of all problems. The impossible can be made possible.
Psalm 136:5,13
136:5 To Him who by wisdom made the heavens, For His mercy endures forever;
136:13 To Him who divided the Red Sea in two, For His mercy endures forever;
Every step of our life is in miracle. It continues until the last one when Jesus comes a second time. We are changed to be as glorious as Jesus is and lifted up on the glorious clouds.
God blesses you.
