Matthew 26:69-75is about
Peter denied Jesus.
Peter denied Jesus three times as follows.
- Verse 69-70: Peter denied Jesus of Galilee.
- Verse 71-72: Peter denied Jesus of Nazareth.
- Verse 73-75: Peter denied Jesus with swearing and cursing.
ad. 2. Peter denied Jesus of Nazareth.
Matthew 26:71-72
26:71 And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there, "This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth."
26:72 But again he denied with an oath, "I do not know the Man!"
Luke 1:26-27,31
1:26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth,
1:27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.
1:31 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.Nazareth is the place where Jesus began to become flesh in the womb of Mary.
Luke 2:51-52
2:51 Then He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and was subject to them, but His mother kept all these things in her heart.
2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.Nazareth is also the place where Jesus grew physically.
In shorts, Nazareth is the place where Jesus began to become flesh up to the maturity.
John 1:1,14
1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.Jesus is the teaching Word (Logos) that was born in flesh.
Thus,
Nazareth means the teaching Word that becomes flesh up to the full maturity or perfection.
Peter denied Jesus of Nazareth equals to
Peter denied the true teaching Word. It happened because of having
bad heart. The good heart will never be influenced by anything because it can distinguish the right and the false matter.
John 1:14
1:14 And the Word became flesh and dweltamong us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.'to dwell'comes from Greek
'skenoo'.
The late Rev. van Gessels received the revelation about Tabernacle teaching as Moses has seen on Mount Sinai.
Peter denied Jesus of Nazareth =
Peter denied the Tabernacle teaching.
The Tabernacle teaching leads us to believe, referring to the Gate of Tabernacle, up to become perfect, referring to the Ark of Covenant. Therefore, the teaching we receive must not be different from the Tabernacle teaching.
John 1:1
1:1 In the beginningwas the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
When we want to speak or do something, “in the beginning” is the true teaching Word.
It means as follows.
- The beginning of all things in the world is the true teaching Word.
- What we have to prioritize in the service and ministry is the true teaching Word.
We have to see the accordance to the true teaching Word when we want to work or get married, or do all things.
The function of the true teaching Word or Tabernacle teaching is as follows.
- To create all things that have not existed yet.
John 1:2-3
1:2 He was in the beginning with God.
1:3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
Hebrews 11:3
11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
All things are meaningless if there is no Word of God. Holy Spirit and love come from the Word.
The teaching Word creates heaven and earth with its content, even it creates human according to the one image or likeness of God.
Genesis 1:26
1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
- To give the light of glory so the human who is in one image or likeness of God can become glorious as He is.
John 1:4-5
1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
1:5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Genesis 2:25
2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Being naked but not ashamed means there is garment of glory, being as glorious as God is.
Genesis 1:26
1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion overthe fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."
The man was created in one image of God and as glorious as He is to be powerful to defeat three beasts. Three beasts written in Genesis will increase up to the beasts written in revelation as follows.
- The birds of the air -->red dragon or Satan.
- The cattle on the earth -->false prophet.
- The fish of the sea -->antichrist.
Defeating the three beasts means defeating the wild tongue, so our tongue is only used to bear witness and worship God.
Philippians 2:10-11
2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
2:11 and that every tongue should confessthat Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
The tongue determines our life journey, whether we go to heaven or to hell.
One who receives the teaching Word will be careful using the tongue.
One who denies the true teaching Word as Peter will not experience the power of creation and he becomes as the earth before it was created.
Genesis 1:1-2
1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
1:2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. The consequence of rejecting the teaching Word is as follows.
- There is no form but being mixed with sin up to the peak of sin, namely sin concerning eating-drinking and marrying-being given in marriage.
- Being void, there is no content, meaning there is no heavenly satisfaction until one seeks satisfaction in the world. Moreover, the satisfaction of the world is brought to the church.
- Being dark, there is no light and peace but anxiety and hatred without any cause, bitterness, revenge, et cetera.
Thus, one who rejects the teaching Word has no form but being void and dark, so he is conquered by the trinity of Satan and becomes same as the three beasts.
The man who is shined by the teaching Word is naked but not ashamed because there is the light of glory.
Rejecting the true teaching Word, one becomes naked and has no shame anymore. He says and does all things without any shame anymore. The worst condition happens when one sins, referring to having nakedness, but blames other people who are righteous.
In shorts,
the Church of God has to receive the true teaching Word.
The process is as follows.
- Hearing the Word solemnly.
- Understanding the Word solemnly.
- Believing in the Word seriously.
- Practicing it seriously.
Afterwards, the true teaching Word will give us three kinds of form as Jesus has as follows.
- The form of righteousness.
It refers to the Court of Tabernacle.
1 John 3:7
3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.
We become righteous as Jesus is righteous through this process.
- The Gate, meaning we believe in Jesus; we have faith in Him.
- The Altar of Burnt Offering, meaning we repent and stop sinning to return to God.
- Brazen Laver, referring to water baptism.
- The Door of Tabernacle, meaning the baptism of Holy Spirit.
The baptism of water and of Holy Spirit will result in new life, namely heavenly life or life in righteousness and holding fast the true teaching Word.
Romans 1:16-17
1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "The just shall live by faith."
If we have had the form of righteousness, the true teaching Word will fill us with righteous faith.
Romans 10:17
10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The righteous faith comes from hearing the true teaching Word.
1 Peter 1:5-6
1:5 who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials,
The righteous faith will be tested to become firm faith up to the pure one.
James 2:21-22
2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?
2:22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect?
Afterwards, the pure faith must be practiced to become the work of faith. It equals to the perfect faith, referring to the golden pot that had manna in Tabernacle teaching.
For example, Abraham had to offer Isaac. Abraham was righteous and he had righteous faith. He also had tested faith since he kept waiting for the promise of God, even he had perfect faith. The result is real as follows.
- There is Jehova Jireh, the Lord who provides all things we need wonderfully.
- Not only physical things, He also provides to make us ready as His Bride to welcome Jesus’ second coming.
Revelation 19:7
19:7 "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."
- The form of holiness.
It refers to the Holy Place in Tabernacle.
1 Peter 1:15-16
1:15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
1:16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."
The process is through entering the Holy Place in which there are three kinds of equipment that refer to perseverance in doing three kinds of main service as follows.
- Golden Candlestick -->perseverance in doing General Service -->fellowship with Holy Spirit God.
- Table of Showbread -->perseverance in doing Bible Study Service -->fellowship with the Son of God.
- Golden Altar of Incense -->perseverance in doing Prayer Service -->fellowship with Father God.
Perseverance in doing three main services equals to perseverance in shepherding.
2 Corinthians 7:1
7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
We have the sanctification to our inward and outward man through the perseverance in doing three main services. It is the sanctification to our body, soul, and spirit until we are perfect.
If we have had the form of holiness, the teaching Word will fill us with hope.
1 John 3:2-3
3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
3:3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.
The hope to become holy as Jesus is refers to Aaron’s rod that budded, flowered, and yielded fruit.
Maybe our life is only as a rod having no hope and waiting for destruction. The rod will bud before God if we persevere in the shepherding. There will be physical and spiritual growth. We can flower to be employed by God in the ministry of building Christ’s body. We can also yield fruits up to the fruit of Bride, namely being holy as Jesus is holy.
- The form of perfection.
It refers to the Most Holy Place.
Matthew 5:43-45,48
5:43 "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
5:44 "But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
5:45 "that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
5:48 "Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
The process is through the sprinkling of blood or suffering in the flesh without any sin to have life renewal from carnal man to spiritual one as Jesus is. It begins from loving our neighbors until we can love our enemy and pray for them.
If we have had the form of perfection, we can be filled with love.
The perfect love refers to the two tablets of stone, and we can love God more than all things.
If we have had the form of righteousness to be filled with faith, the form of holiness to be filled hope, and the form of perfection to be filled with love,
the Word in Tabernacle teaching gives us the light of glory (Shekinah Glory). We can see Jesus’ bright face.
The result will be real as follows.
- We are strong and of good courage, not being disappointed or hopeless facing anything.
1 Peter 4:14
4:14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
- The spirit of glory is able to help us facing failure and to make all things beautiful and successful. All impossible things can be made possible. All dead things can be made alive physically and spiritually.
John 11:32-39
11:32 Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, "Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died."
11:39 Jesus said, "Take away the stone." Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to Him, "Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days."
- We have life renewal, from glory to greater glory until someday we become as glorious as Jesus is and we can see Him face to face.
1 Corinthians 13:12-13
13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
13:13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
God blesses you.
