Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 9:1-12 is about the fifth trumpet or the fifth judgment of the Son of God to the world.
It is signified by the torment of the scorpions for five months. Men want to die, but they cannot die. They must get the torment of the scorpions.
Revelation 9:7-12
9:7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men.
9:8 They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth.
9:9 And they had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots with many horses running into battle.
9:10 They had tails like scorpions, and there were stings in their tails. Their power was to hurt men five months.
9:11 And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.
9:12 One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.
The locusts refer to the evil and unclean spirits that come out of the bottomless pit.
The shape is like horses prepared for battle.
The horse refers to the power and speed.
Thus, the locusts refer to the evil and unclean spirits that use the power and speed to make spiritual war against men generally and the servants of God specially.
- Men have the wrong mind and sight in everything, especially about the service and ministry to God, so they only prioritize the physical things and ignore the spiritual ones.
- The ground of the heart becomes bad when the Word is being sowed. The Word cannot grow and yield fruit like the cursed fig tree. It means being heavy-laden and weariness. It continues until one cannot become the perfect bride of God.
James 1:19-20
1:19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
1:20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.
Therefore, we must use the power and speed of Holy Spirit to hear the Word.
What is heard?
Hebrews 5:11-14
5:11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
5:12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the oracles of God; and you have come to need milkand not solid food.
5:13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe.
5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Holy Spirit anoints us, so we can be swift to hear the solid food, namely the Word which is sharper than any two-edged sword. This is the continuation of hearing the Gospel Word.
The consequences of hearing only the Gospel Word are as follows.
- Being spiritual children, one cannot discern the true and the false, so he is easily driven to and fro or deceived by the false teachings. He also easily commits sin.
If we are willingly swift to hear the teaching Word or the solid food, we will be able to be firm in discerning the true and the false.
- One cannot be perfect. He cannot become the bride of God, so he is left when Jesus comes a second time.
The power and speed of Holy Spirit help us to hear the teaching Word seriously with a need like a dog licking the crumbs.
Then, Holy Spirit helps us to understand, believe, and obey the true teaching Word.
The proofs of the spiritual maturity are as follows.
- Being slow to speak. It means that we keep silent and do the introspection in our life much more.
James 1:19
1:19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath;
- Being slow to wrath.
We may get angry only to make others return to the righteousness.
The requirements are as follows.
- There is a reason.
- Getting angry with love to help others.
The locusts or the evil and unclean spirits hinder the sowing of the Word to make it not grow and yield fruit.
- The seeds fall by the wayside.
Luke 8:5,12
8:5 "A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell by the wayside; and it was trampled down, and the birds of the air devoured it.
8:12 "Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
The locusts, the birds, or Satan with the evil and unclean spirits hinder the sowing of the seed of the Word.
The evil and unclean spirits rule over the heart and mind. The consequences are as follows.
- The feet walk. It means not focusing on hearing one true teaching Word, so one hears many other teachings and cannot understand the Word.
- The mind walks. It means not concentrating on hearing the Word.
- Hearing the true teaching Word with his own thought or logic, so he criticizes and blames the Word much more until rejecting it.
He never understands and does not want to understand the Word. He does not believe the Word and has no salvation.
- The seeds fall on rock.
Luke 8:6,13
8:6 "Some fell on rock; and as soon as it sprang up, it withered away because it lacked moisture.
8:13 "But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.
The evil and unclean spirits hinder the growth of the seed of the Word.
They rule over the heart and mind, so the heart becomes hard through hearing the Word with the fleshly emotion.
The facts found in it are as follows.
- Being happy when hearing the Word which is in line with the flesh like the physical blessings or not about sins.
- Murmuring and getting angry and disappointed when the teaching Word points the hidden sins or sanctifies his life.
If one is hard-hearted, the Word will only grow for a moment, but without root. Consequently, one goes back and walks with Jesus no more. He leaves the true teaching Word.
John 6:66
6:66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more.
- The seeds fall among thorns.
Luke 8:7,14
8:7"And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up with it and choked it.
8:14 "Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity.
The evil and unclean spirits hinder the growth of the seed of the Word.
They also rule over the heart, so the anxiety, fear, lusts, and so on come in the heart.
If the Word is not obeyed, there will be no fruit or there is no renewal of life.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
3:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
3:2 For men will be lovers of themselves(1), lovers of money(2), boasters(3), proud(4), blasphemers(5), disobedient to parents(6), unthankful(7), unholy(8),
3:3 unloving(9), unforgiving(10), slanderers(11), without self-control(12), brutal(13), despisers of good(14),
3:4 traitors(15), headstrong(16), haughty(17), lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God(18),
3:5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
- The seeds fall on good ground. It means being set free from the locusts or evil and unclean spirits.
Luke 8:8,15
8:8 "But others fell on good ground, sprang up, and yielded a crop a hundredfold." When He had said these things He cried, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear!"
8:15 "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
It means that the heart is ruled over by Holy Spirit, so it becomes gentle and able to hear the true teaching Word seriously and obey it.
As a result, it yields a crop a hundredfold as follows.
- The fruit of perseverance.
Acts 2:41-42
2:41 Then those who gladly received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them.
2:42 And they continued steadfastlyin the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
In the Tabernacle, it refers to the Holy Place, in which there are three tools that refer to the perseverance in doing the three main services to God as follows.
- Golden Candlestick or perseverance in doing General Serviceto have the fellowship with Holy Spirit God in the anointing and gifts.
- Table of Showbread or perseverance in doing Bible Study Service with Holy Communionto get the fellowship with the Son of God in the Word and the sacrifice of Christ.
- Golden Altar of Incense or perseverance in doing Worship Prayer Serviceto get the fellowship with Father God in the love.
In the shepherding pen, our body, soul, and spirit attach to the Trinity of God like a branch that abides in the True Vine. Sooner or later, we must bear sweet fruits.
Acts 2:43-45
2:43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
2:44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common,
2:45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
Sooner or later, the miracle must happen, namely the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus as follows.
- Humbleness or the ability to confess sins to God and other people.
- Gentleness or the ability to forgive the sins of others.
- Patience in waiting for the time of God. Do not take your own way which is not in line with the Word because such way is a dead-end and perdition.
We must also be patient in sufferings to help others.
If we are humble, gentle, and patient, there will be the unity of the body of Christ [Acts 2:44].
Ephesians 4:2
4:2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
We can help one another and feel more joyful to give than to receive.
Acts 2:46
2:46 So continuing dailywith one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,
The perseverance in doing the three main services to God will be increased to being in the temple every day.
Revelation 22:3
22:3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
- The fruit of perfection or the perfect bride of God.
Revelation 12:1-4,6
12:1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars.
12:2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
12:3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.
12:4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.
12:6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
The perfect church is like a pregnant woman who will give birth, but she must face a dragon. We must have the two wings of a great eagle.
The functions of the two wings of a great eagle are as follows.
- Covering us like the apple of God's eyes.
Psalm 17:8
17:8 Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings,
It means preserving and protecting us who are small and powerless in the midst of difficulties in the world. We are preserved miraculously and abundantly, so we only give thanks to God.
Spiritually, the merciful hands of God protect us in the midst of the waves of sins up to the peak and the false teachings, so we do not sin, but keep on living in righteousness and holiness. We keep on holding fast to the true teaching Word.
- Bearing us to pass the storm in the sea of the world.
Exodus 19:4-6
19:4 'You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to Myself.
19:5 'Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine.
19:6 'And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."
It means that the merciful hands of God are able to finish all impossible problems. We are brought near God more. The proof is that we are more obedient, holy, and faithful. We get the rest or peace in the Lord. All things become easy and light.
- We are given the two wings of a great eagle to evacuate us to the wilderness, far away from the presence of the antichrist. We are preserved by God through the true teaching Word and the Holy Communion.
Revelation 12:14
12:14 But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.
It continues until the two wings of a great eagle lift us up to the glorious clouds when Jesus comes a second time. There is power of renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus is. We become strong and of good courage.
We get the new power from God when we are consuming the Holy Communion. We submit all sins and failures to Him. He gives all good, beautiful, and successful things.
God blesses you.
