Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:12 21:12 Also she had a great and high wallwith twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:The wall of the New Jerusalem was great and high. It refers to the majesty, glory, and authority of Jesus in the heavenly bride, so she always glorifies God.
The process of the building of the wall of the New Jerusalem is as follows:
- The middle wall of separation must be broken down, namely the enmity.
Ephesians 2:13-16
2:13. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
2:14. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
2:15. having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
2:16. and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
There are two things that become the middle wall of separation or enmity, so the Israelites and Gentiles cannot become one as follows:
- The Law.
The Israelites have the Law but they cannot do it. The Gentiles live outside the Law.
- The leprosy.
Luke 17:11-12
17:11. Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
17:12. Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
The midst refers to the middle wall of separation, namely the spiritual leprosy.
It means as follows:
- The sin of evil.
For example, Gehazi had the will of money, so he became leper [2 Kings 5:27].
- The sin of uncleanness. [Leviticus 13:45]. It is the same as the sin of Babylon.
- The sin of self-truth. It means blaming the righteous and justifying the false man.
How is to break down the middle wall of separation between the Israelites and the Gentiles?
- Jesus must willingly die on the cross to fulfill the Law.
Matthew 5:17
5:17. "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
As a result, the Israelites and the Gentiles who believe in Jesus can fulfill the Law in Christ's sacrifice, so both of them can be united.
- Jesus must willingly die on the cross to bear men's sin.
Romans 3:23-24
3:23. for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:24. being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
Jesus redeems and sets us free from sin; even He justifies us, so we can live in righteousness.
'all have sinned' means as follows:
- The Israelites commit sin because of breaking the Law.
- The Gentiles commit sin because of not having the Law.
If the Israelites and the Gentiles believe in Jesus, they will be able to be reconciled. It means confessing and forgiving one another.
We can confess our sin to God and others. Do not sin anymore after being forgiven! We repent.
John 3:5
3:5. Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
We are dead to sin. Further, we enter the water baptism and Holy Spirit baptism, so the heavens are opened. We receive a new life, namely life in the anointing of Holy Spirit, so we can live in righteousness. We become one body of Christ, being saved and blessed by God.
- Building the foundations.
Revelation 21:14
21:14. Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostlesof the Lamb.
The twelve apostles refer to the teaching of apostles in the New Testament which is the completeness of the prophecy of the prophets in the Old Testament. The Old Testament and the New Testament are the true teaching Word that is sharper than any two-edged sword.
We must move from the gospel--salvation--to the teaching--holiness up to perfection.
Hebrews 4:12-13
4:12. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
4:13. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
The sword of the Word is able to purify usas follows:
- The inmost heart. It is the deep foundation where no one knows.
Mark 7:21-23
7:21. "For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries(1), fornications(2), murders(3),
7:22. thefts (4), covetousness (5), wickedness (6), deceit (7), lewdness(8), an evil eye(9), blasphemy(10), pride(11), foolishness(12).
7:23. "All these evil things come from within and defile a man."
The heart of men contains uncleanness, wickedness, and bitterness,so one becomes foolish. It means that he cannot be advised or rebuked.
If we are purified by the sword of the Word, our heart will be filled with twelve loaves that are set in two rows, six in a row. It refers to the sixty-six books in the Bible--the Old Testament and the New Testament--, so our heart becomes holy even pure.
- The sinful deedsup to the peak--the deepest falling--, namely the sins of eating-drinking (smoking, getting drunk, and drugs abuse) and marrying-giving in marriage (fornication, pornography, infidelity, and false marriage). It is purified to become the deepest foundation.
- The idle words, namely lie, gossip, evil speaking--the false thing becomes true and vice versa--, and blasphemy. It is purified to produce the true, good, and holy words up to there is no more lie. It is the strongest and deepest foundation
Lying is the deepest falling, so one cannot be helped.
As a result, we can live in holiness. We have the strong foundation. We can give the accountability of our life before God.
Ephesians 4:7,11-12
4:7. But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
4:11. And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
4:12. for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ,
We are equipped with the ministry and gift--tunic of many colors--to be used in the ministry of the building of the body of Christ, starting from marriage, shepherding, inter shepherding until the Israelites and Gentiles become one perfect body of Christ. Our life becomes beautiful.
Judas Iscariot the apostle did not minister in holiness but kept the sin of evil--the love of money--and lies, so he did not have foundation. His wall was broken down. His life was not beautiful. He burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out. It means being destroyed.
- Building the great and high wall of Jerusalem.
Revelation 21:12
21:12. Also she had a great and high wallwith twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
It is the heavenly bride who has the majesty, glory, and authority of Jesus, so she can glorify God from now on and forever.
1 Peter 2:9-10
2:9. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
2:10. who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
It is the same as the church of God that consists of the living stones, namely the true and holy priests and kings, so we can testify about the light of the renewal of life. We radiate the light to others who are in the darkness, so they are called out of darkness into His marvelous light.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
3:1. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
3:2. For men will be lovers of themselves(1), lovers of money(2), boasters(3), proud(4), blasphemers(5), disobedient to parents(6), unthankful(7), unholy(8),
3:3. unloving(9), unforgiving(10), slanderers(11), without self-control(12), brutal(13, despisers of good(14),
3:4. traitors(15), headstrong(16), haughty(17), lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God(18),
3:5. having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
Unfortunately, there are many people who have ministered to God but their life is not changed. They keep the eighteen attitudes of the flesh, so they are marked with the triple six by the Antichrist. They become the same as the Antichrist who will be destroyed.
Proverbs 24:30-31
24:30. I went by the field of the lazy man, And by the vineyard of the man devoid of understanding;
24:31. And there it was, all overgrown with thorns; Its surface was covered with nettles; Its stone wall was broken down.
It is the same as the broken down wall.
It happens because of rejecting the power of godliness, namely the sword of the Word and the cross. He prefers to hear gossip and the false teaching, and he does not willingly suffer for Jesus. It means rejecting the Bible Study Service and Holy Communion.
That is why, in our every ministry, we must prioritize the sword of the Word and Christ's sacrifice, especially through the perseverance in committing Bible Study Service and Holy Communion. It is the preparation to build the wall of the New Jerusalem. As a result, the Word is ingrained in our life, so we experience the purification and the renewal of life from the fleshly men to the spiritual ones like Jesus, namely obedience and faithfulness until the finish line.
Revelation 3:7-8
3:7. "And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, 'These things says He who is holy, He who is true, "He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens":
3:8. "I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
We receive the key of David that is able to open the doors.
1 Samuel 17:45
17:45. Then David said to the Philistine, "You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
The result is opening the door of heaven for us as follows:
- The door of shepherding.
Psalm 23:1,6
23:1. <<A Psalm of David.>> The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
23:6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.
We can be shepherded well and correctly. We are always in the sheepfold, namely the perseverance in the three kinds of main service to God.
- The renewal of life. God's kindness is able to change us.
David was wicked and unclean. He killed Uriah and took his wife. But, David realized because of the preaching of the hard teaching Word, so he could repent and lived in righteousness.
- The rain of God's mercy is able to take care of our life in the midst of the drought of the world.
Deuteronomy 11:13-14
11:13. ' And it shall be that if you earnestly obey My commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,
11:14. 'then I will give you the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
God protects us from sin and the false teaching, so we keep living in righteousness and holiness. We keep on being used by God to glorify Him.
- The door of winning.
God's mercy and kindness are able to finish all of impossible problems in our life. He gives us the beautiful and successful future in His time.
It continues until we become perfect, so we are worthy to greet Jesus when He comes a second time. We become the wall of the New Jerusalem.
God blesses us.
