Peace and grace in the love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Revelation 21:1521:15. And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The gold reed measures the things as follows:
- The city of the New Jerusalem.
- The wall of the New Jerusalem.
- The gates of the New Jerusalem.
ad.2.
Measuring the wall of the New JerusalemRevelation 21:17 21:17. Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-fourcubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. One hundred and forty-four is twelve times twelve. The number twelve refers to the
fellowship that is very close up to unable to be separated forever.
Revelation 21:18 21:18. The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. In Hebrew, jasper means the burning yearning.
So, the wall of the New Jerusalem refers to the quality of the church of God or the heavenly bride who must have the burning yearning to have fellowship with Jesus, the Heavenly Bridegroom all the time. It is like the mercy seat that cannot be moved from the ark of covenant.
Exodus 25:10-1125:10. " And they shall make an ark of acacia wood; two and a half cubits shall be its length, a cubit and a half its width, and a cubit and a half its height.
25:11. "And you shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and shall make on it a molding of gold all around.A molding of gold must be made all around the ark of covenant, so the mercy seat cannot be moved.
The molding of gold strengthens the relationship between the mercy seat and the ark of covenant, so both of them cannot be separated; even they cannot move.
So, the church of God must have the spiritual molding of gold.
The three meanings of the spiritual molding of gold are as follows:
- Having the fear of God.
Psalm 25:14
25:14. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.
The facts are as follows:
- Ministering to God in sincerity and in truth.
Joshua 24:14
24:14. " Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
Ministering in truth means being unable to be blocked.
Ministering in sincerity means having no purpose to get physical advantage but sacrificing.
- Hating sin up to perverse mouth.
Proverbs 8:13
8:13. The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way And the perverse mouth I hate.
We live in righteousness and holiness. We do not want to commit sin.
So, the burning yearning to become one with God is the same as having the fear of God, namely we minister to Him in sincerity and truth.
Joshua 24:15
24:15. "And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Joshua is the image of man or husband or the shepherd who must firmly choose to minister to God in sincerity and truth, so the wife, child, and congregation can also minister to God in sincerity and truth according to the true teaching Word.
The results are as follows:
- God remembers, cares, and struggles for us to save us and our family.
Psalm 33:18-19
33:18. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy,
33:19. To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine.
He also protects and takes care of us physically in the midst of the difficulties of the world.
Psalm 25:14
25:14. The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant.
God gives the revelation of the Word to take care of us and our family spiritually until we are satisfied and filled, so we can give thanks and become the witness.
- We and our family are used in the building of the body of Christ.
Revelation 19:11
19:11. Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
- The honesty.
Proverbs 3:32
3:32. For the perverse person is an abomination to the LORD, But His secret counsel is with the upright.
The measurements of the honesty are as follows:
- Honesty about the true teaching Word or God Himself, so we can honestly confess our sin.
Titus 3:7
3:7. that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
- Honesty in the marriage.
Hebrews 13:4
13:4. Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
It starts from the beginning and journey of marriage until the end, namely we enter the marriage supper of the Lamb of God.
We are honest in keeping the righteousness, holiness, and unity of the marriage.
Those who live in holiness and peace will see God. It means worshiping God a lot, so He helps our marriage up to perfection.
- Honesty in finance.
Hebrews 13:5
13:5. Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you.
In every blessing we have received, there are the belongings of God, others who are in need by our giving to and visiting them, and the rest is for us that God entrusts to be enjoyed.
We must return the belongings of God, namely the tithe and special offerings.
If we falsely use the blessings from God, He will not trust us anymore.
It continues until we are honest in all things.
Hebrews 13:5b-6
13:5. ... For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
13:6. So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?"
As a result, the mercy seat never moves from the ark. It means that God never leaves us. He always remembers, cares, and struggles for us. We become the house of prayer.
The result is 'The LORD is my helper'. God finishes all of impossible problems in our life. God becomes our shepherd.
- God's love.
Romans 8:35
8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
We must love God more than anything.
The fleshly men do not have love, but emotion, ambition, and the lust of the flesh.
John 3:16
3:16. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
We receive God's love through Christ's sacrifice on the cross.
Why do we really need God's love?
Romans 8:35-37
8:35. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation(1), or distress(2), or persecution(3), or famine(4), or nakedness(5), or peril(6), or sword(7)?
8:36. As it is written: "For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter."
8:37. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
How great a man is, he is like the sheep for the slaughter that is unable to face the seven things in verse 35. He will surely get disappointed and desperate as well as leave God. His candlestick goes out. His life is dark until he has no power in fighting against the death [verse 36], namely the physical death, sin, et cetera.
How can we have God's love?
- Obeying God until our flesh does not speak anymore
John 14:15
14:15. "If you love Me, keep My commandments
- By the true prayer that is encouraged by the true teaching Word, so our flesh with all of its lusts is torn.
We can receive God's love.
It is the same as stretching out our hand to God. We totally surrender to Him. God will stretch out His merciful hand for us, so we live in God's hug. We lean on Jesus' breast
John 13:23
13:23. Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved.
There is no distance with God, so Satan cannot touch us.
There are two possibilities in receiving the teaching Word and holy communion, namely we can lean on Jesus' like John or we leave Jesus like Judas Iscariot.
That is why we must judge ourselves by true teaching Word before receiving holy communion, so we are purified.
John 21:20-22
21:20. Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, "Lord, who is the one who betrays You?"
21:21. Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, "But Lord, what about this man?"
21:22. Jesus said to him, "If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me."
Our life and death are God's business. He determines all things in our life. We just make effort according to our ability, and the rest is God's business. God's power cannot be limited by anything.
God fights for us. He makes us more than conquerors.
For example, God's power divides the Red Sea, and makes David win over Goliath.
Exodus 14:14
14:14. "The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."
God uses our life in the building of the body of Christ up to perfection.
God blesses us.
